    Fantastic video. I started losing my hair at about 17, and at 19 I started shaving it. I’m 40 now and have been taking fin/minox for about 17 years. I have been able to maintain the crown and back of my head but the frontal 3rd has thinned significantly.
    I have a procedure booked for November (3200 grafts) where the surgeon performs all aspects of the surgery. I’m glad to hear your explanation of the benefits of the implanter pen. Hopefully I get a good result

    Very good video. Question: With DHI for a grade 6 patient, where it is clear that two procedures will be needed, can they be safely done in two consecutive days? Or do they need to be spaced out to give time to the donor area to recover? Donor area is dense (just back and sides though)

    I recently went for a FUE consultation and 1700-1900 grafts were suggested when I expected 3-4k. Do you typically recommend taking minoxidil and/or finasteride to optimize long term results even post op?

      Hello Eric, thank you very much for the question. It's very important to take finasteride and minoxidil especially postoperatively. While transplanted hair follicles can last a lifetime, your preexisting hair will continue to thin out. Androgenetic Hair loss is a chronic condition and requires a life long prevention therapy. Of course if hair is important to you. The good analogy here is whether we need to brush our teeth. Even if we get a new dental implant, it will not protect other teeth from decay unless we take preventative measures such as brushing teeth twice daily. Using finasteride and minoxidil is the best way to prevent and slow down future hair loss. Both are clinically proven by millions of patience. Other measures can include yearly PRP treatment, ketoconazole shampoo, topical melatonin, and others. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

      @@hairbydrmax i took finasteride for a year and lost about 75% of sex energy, it never came back since i quit taking fin. minoxidil should be taken non stop, if stopped all hairs will fall which is very sad

      @@chinabobs5071as far finasteride goes it’s all in your head it’s like people being afraid of Pfizer covid19 vaccine cos of conspiracy theories. Then your life was at stake and now your hair is at stake and you yourself are your greatest enemy haha.
      If you stop minoxidil you only lose the hair you gained from it.

    Man the background music is super annoying. Do you have two different songs playing at the same time

    Fairly clear he’s been a recipient. Which would be the opposite of what patients want.

    I’m like a Norwood 6 how many grafts would I need!! I’m scheduled to get implants in 2 weeks!!

      @hairbydrmax  8 місяців тому

      With Norwood 6 it is probably more than 3,000 grafts. Many factors are playing role when determining how many grafts are needed. Mainly what's the expectations are, what average diameter of the donor hair, and how big is the area.. The most important thing is to make sure that your procedure is done entirely by a surgeon with verifiable experience and not delegated to technicians

    So really a balder person can avoid taking medication as they don’t need to worry too much if they have had front and back covered with 2 transplants. Also my friend, keep posting content. It takes time but you will make it

      There are different opinions. In our center only a physician performs the entire surgery. Dr Max is a Diplomat of American Board of Hair Restoration surgery and spends every minute with the patient during surgery. He harvests and implants every graft with his own hands. He is the only doctor who performs every surgery hands-on instead of delegating it to technicians.
