He doesn't need it. He can just use minoxidil and improve other areas of his life. The right haircut will make whatever he perceives as receding non-existent.
I loved your composure! I also agree that this man didn't need the hair transplant YET (if ever)... do note that the brother who is "reporting" on all this ALSO looks like he had the hair transplant in the same place.
When I watch a lot of these videos, I am shocked at how little the hairline has receded, to the point that I wonder why they are doing the procedure in the first place. I feel he wasn’t bald enough to do this yet.
Most of them do it for women, just like they also pay tons of money for very dangerous surgeries to increase their height... however, it's well known that women judge men on genetic traits, it's not like women judge men on things that are under a person's control such as weight or hygiene.
I think you're missing the point. Why wait years to go more bald and then pay the money? Do the procedure now, get more years from it, and enjoy the effects of NOT going bald. Great decision to do it and not wait
@@fincarosaYou are extremely incorrect. These hair mills in do transplants on anyone, but an ethical doctor will advise that you wait as long as possible before getting a transplant. There’s a reason most doctors don’t operate on young guys even if they’ve started balding already.
I would say always do your research into the practice where you are going to have surgery no matter the procedure. In the UK their have been loads of stories from people coming back from Turkey, Brazil where they have returned with problems after surgery & unfortunately some have even died!
1. Nothing wrong with having juvenile hairline at old age. People that naturally have juvenile hairline at their 60s look just fine and younger. The problem with these hair transpants is that they really suck at making a good juvenile hairline, where's the temporal hairs? Why is the hairline completely straight? Not even kids have such perfectly straight hairlines. 2. But let's be realistic. There is not enough donor hairs and you're better off saving them for a high/ temporally receeding style hairline in future. Having decent frontal lock and crown coverage instead of obsessing over te temporal points would be much better strategy in the long run. Also many people let their hair fall on their forehead/ face instead of using hair products to do a slick back. In such cases, why bother having very low hairlines, it's not gonna be visible anyway and a higher hairline would be much more practical in that case.
I just moved to Marbella, Spain and I"ll get mine done (FUE) in 3 weeks. It's also 4000 folicles which will cost me $4,500 USD, plus the costs for medication.
Thank you for educating us. Once I find a good reputable doctor in Turkey, I will keep and remember your advices which you have been giving us, through all of your content, to actually ask them adequate questions and kinda "show"them I am not just another one on the chopping block, but in fact I know what truly stands behind a hair transplant. Now the hardest part is to actually find a reliable doctor in Turkey, because I have been reading a lot of negative comments from some of them.
My biggest concerns with going abroad would be what if something went wrong?... what about follow up?..... what do you do, hop on a plane and go back each time?? No thanks for me.....when I finally proceed, I'll stay right here in NYC .....
This angers me that a doctor would do a 4000 graph hairline like that on the subject of this video. I have seen a lot of these Turkey transplants and a lot of them are straight across like that with no gradation in the front. This man went for a 15 year old hairline and looks odd. A normal hairline at his age does not look like that. The front should look jagged meaning not straight think of what a gear sprocket looks like it is jagged in appearance with single graphs used. What will this guy look like at 50 and 60? He could loose most of the hair on top and then he will have a freaking front hair line that looks too low. This is what I have noticed with most of these Turkey hairlines.
This Hair Transplant took place at Vera Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. They don't have Doctors doing the procedure, but only briefly observing. Everything is done by there Technicians with doggy results. Don't be fooled by their fancy facility, that doesn't mean they are the best of the best. It's smarter to go with a reputable doctor who is licensed & compliant with all regulations & most importantly be a part of the actual procedure
I find the cost outrageous. I live in South Korea and got a 4,100 graft FUT transplant in Gangnam in Seoul. Total cost $2,700 USD. And the results are fantastic. Koreans will not half ass anything. They put their heart and soul into every thing they do.
sounds very good, I had a 4500 graft (FUT + FUE) procedure done few weeks ago for approx $2250 in India by a top surgeon having a fantastic track record.
He didn't even look like he needed a hair transplant. Also, it's important to realize that asymmetry in the face is normal and perfect symmetry is abnormal. I tell my makeup clients...."your eyebrows are sisters (or brothers) but they are not twins"
Were they offered this free in return for filming and promoting? Seems strange to me that he went straight for a hair transplant before trying any medications or topical treatments his hair loss was fairly mild. Wouldnt it make more sense to try treatments before doing a surgery that could have been a better solution further down the line?
He says in the video how much it cost his brother, $6,000+. Dr. L explains that the medicinal treatments help to fortify the existing hair, they don't actually grow hair. Once a large or noticeable area has been lost, it is likely that only a transplant will work to regrow hair in the area.
@@susancunningham4661nah 1) he's hyping up the procedure too much, 2) that may have been the initial cost but doesn't mean they didn't receive any compensation once the vid dropped, and 3) the original video actually says the clinic sponsored the video
Transplants from Turkey seem to counter all of the rules of reasonable transplantation. Emphasis seems to be placed on lowered, high-density hairlines, with exaggerated temple reconstruction. The net byproduct is that future work might be compromised due to overharvesting, and 10 years down the line, the patient may have a 'Drake' style hairline with diffused thinning behind it. I will stick with Hasson & Wong in Canada, they have been great to me and I will be visiting them again shortly.
Exactly what he says. It really doesn’t matter where you go to get your surgery just pick a surgeon that has a very good strategy over time. Not just the initial. You want someone who will care about 6 or 7 or 10 years down the line.
If you were to take Finasteride and minoxidl as a pill, would if cause hair growth everywhere or just on your head? Also wondering if these are appropriate for women to use
Head face, temporal regions, beard. I don't notice any hair growth anywhere else besides my face, eyebrows and beard, some extra baby hairs on my forehead
As a hairdresser I've seen quite a few men whove went to turkey. Their hair transplants were fine. Finding the clinics and specific surgeons are hard to find when you don't speak the language and I've seen many advertisements selling packages without specific doctors
I had 2 hair transplants in Canada and the surgery was done by nurses. The doctor was there to administer anesthesia. My transplants were both successful. I had mine done during Covid so i got a really good price. My first transplant was 3400 grafts and my send was 2700. I paid ~13,000 USD total.
My uncle went to turkey from Switzerland he ended having a severe complication he is daughter had to fly there to get him. It is always dangerous to go abroad to have a surgery.
As a hcp, his brother focuses on bling rather than WHO IS PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE? What are the backups if there's an emergency and a hospitalization needed?
You should review José Bordalás, a famous football manager here in Spain. He aged backwards or something. He is now 60 but looks around 40 but when he was 40 he looked on the higher end of 50s. I would love seeing that analysis, I have always wondered how.

I had so called unlimited hair transplant for set fee. When i asked after how many grafts they did , they weren't sure. I don't think anybody counts them or is able to keep track of them. They take few hours to pick them and it all depends on how fast technicians pick them. I had few different people swapping in turns to pick them
Hi Gary. In this video you’re saying that oral Fin/minox is more effective/potent than topical. Are you sure about that? As far as I know, research has shown that topical application just gives the same effect as oral.
4000, wow! After debating for years, and not being happy with my hairline since the latter part of the 70’s, I went for 900 follicles last August and was worried that I jumped in too much. Mine was done in the U.S. by a physician I’ve been seeing for years and I’m into my 60’s now. I’m pretty happy with the results but I’m not exactly model material (well, except for that one modeling job where I was on millions of brochures back in ‘79 😬). I wonder if Dr. Gary could just make me not as ugly…
Our doctors are great docs. They have more surgery experience than most of the surgeons in the west. For example cardiologs turkish surgeons do surgery everyday , but Western or American Surgeons do 1 surgery ın 1 month and get the same amount of money. So yeah it is Cheap but not because of our surgeons' lack of quality, it is because of the economic sitiuation ın Turkey so for example you can buy exact same detergent ın turkey 10x cheaper than in your country due to the Dolar/tl sitiuation. So do not be jeaolous just do not put unfair prices for your operation so people won't go to turkey for exact same operation for cheaper price
1:30, "Instead, we explore Turkey which is a beautiful city". 😂 I have got bad results done by 2 Istanbul clinics. Hair placements in the wrong direction. For the last surgery I have visited 10 clinics and found out that most of those did not listen to my requirements. They communicated very poorly. I will do the 3rd one in the Netherlands or in India. Definitely Not Turkey. Poor communication leads to unsatisfying results. For Americans, consider clinics in the Netherlands. It saves you traveling time and you find price information on the websites.
hey doc is it a norm for hair transplant clinics to not discuss medical therapy? i know someone in my personal life who got a hair transplant and has not been using finasteride or minoxidil for maintenance. i was honestly shocked saying the clinic he went to is terrible but you’re talking as if that’s a completely optional thing for those with hair transplants.

We focused on the front of the head with 3k grafts and I'll do a second session in a year. Also you gave me the courage to just go for it. Also looking forward to all your videos Doc. 🎉
Where did you go in turkey?
He doesn't need it. He can just use minoxidil and improve other areas of his life. The right haircut will make whatever he perceives as receding non-existent.
I loved your composure! I also agree that this man didn't need the hair transplant YET (if ever)... do note that the brother who is "reporting" on all this ALSO looks like he had the hair transplant in the same place.
That guy didn't even need a hair transplant
Kudos on the mustache, doc!
@fincarosa you have no idea what you are talking about.
@@lsatutube wrong. Clearly you don't
Hahaha you funny comedian
Dumbest comment ever@@DKX365
The STORIES only come from the UK... Guess why?
Not bad at all.
Where did you go?

Thank you for educating us. Once I find a good reputable doctor in Turkey, I will keep and remember your advices which you have been giving us, through all of your content, to actually ask them adequate questions and kinda "show"them I am not just another one on the chopping block, but in fact I know what truly stands behind a hair transplant. Now the hardest part is to actually find a reliable doctor in Turkey, because I have been reading a lot of negative comments from some of them.
You just need a reliable source like me.
My biggest concerns with going abroad would be what if something went wrong?... what about follow up?..... what do you do, hop on a plane and go back each time??
No thanks for me.....when I finally proceed, I'll stay right here in NYC .....
The follow up is in there own country. A fiend of my went to turkey but the follow up is in The Netherlands in there own clinic 😁😊
Doctor Gary I don’t even need this but didn’t even know you was chill like that bro 👍🏽
@@lsatutube that's awesome man. congrats. keep popping that finasteride!
@Eric-ph4yw Thank you, yes Sir that's the plan!
I want to avoid using Minoxidil though!
@@lsatutube Minoxidil I feel from experience isn't worth the hassle. Finasteride is a must and you'll keep your hair the rest of your life.
1:49 what's wrong with either of the brother's hair? I don't understand people anymore 😂😂😂..
He didn't even look like he needed a hair transplant. Also, it's important to realize that asymmetry in the face is normal and perfect symmetry is abnormal. I tell my makeup clients...."your eyebrows are sisters (or brothers) but they are not twins"
American-Moment at 1:34 "We explored turkey which is a beautiful city"
@@tyler6320 ok
@@susancunningham4661they talked about the cost, they never said they paid.
Love watching your videos but love your ASMR voice even more ☺️
Always satisfied and very much edified by the way you articulate these videos 🙏🏽
The hairline he went for allows him to create the latest hairstyle -- The Neanderthal.
Exactly what he says. It really doesn’t matter where you go to get your surgery just pick a surgeon that has a very good strategy over time. Not just the initial. You want someone who will care about 6 or 7 or 10 years down the line.
Precisely
My friend and a cousin went there for this and they had a great experience and look amazing. They didn't pay more than 5k

Did you really write "whove went" 😉? You might struggle learning Turkish with that grasp of English. Yikes.
🎉I know a clinic that works very well and also works to correct the disasters that occurred in Türkiye. They are very, very distinguished
You mind saying the actual place you went to?
"we explored Turkey, which is a beautiful city" oof
My uncle went to turkey from Switzerland he ended having a severe complication he is daughter had to fly there to get him. It is always dangerous to go abroad to have a surgery.
You have to always choose wisely and take your time for your decision if you decide to get a surgery done abroad.
It can be dangerous doing surgical operations in turkey. Would something happen they'll probably fully neglect you as many have told.
He looked perfectly fine beforehand. The straight hairline looks odd. I love your voice btw Dr Gary - very soothing to listen to.
Turkey isn't a city. Istanbul is.
A year or so ago I got offered a free trip to Istanbul and a free hair transplant as long as I vlogged the trip for my channel. I declined.
Sometimes the free stuff ends up being the most expensive.
You can contact me and come and pay for the procedure if you want to.
As a hcp, his brother focuses on bling rather than WHO IS PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE? What are the backups if there's an emergency and a hospitalization needed?
His hairline before the surgery was really good.
It was even BETTER …☠️😭
You should review José Bordalás, a famous football manager here in Spain. He aged backwards or something. He is now 60 but looks around 40 but when he was 40 he looked on the higher end of 50s. I would love seeing that analysis, I have always wondered how.
I live in istanbul, there is good and bad clinics of course it is important to find real business professionals.
Which one can be recommended? I hv heard of a very good clinic in Ankara, but it’s expensive. Most of the ones in Istanbul are cheap but sketchy ..
i wish transplants were more affordable in the US. i got quoted 8-12k by a place in indy. i’m definitely considering turkey for a transplant in the next 5 years. (been on medical therapy for 2 years now)
You should!
You would be surprised at the result you get for as much as 2000 $ Max. Pretty experienced clinics here in Istanbul
That’s not that much bro think about it you need to go to Istanbul 12 hour flight then 12 hours again that terrible 8-10k in the states I would say is pretty good
@@miracleman8022 thx internet stranger. $8-$10k is not that much. thank god you were here to say that.
Hi there I live in Turkiye. Some of my friends has gone through this procedure. Surgents do not perform hair transplantation. Trained stuff (mostly not a MD) do. Surgent only does the planning.
That original video is dripping with dumbness! From calling Istanbul "Instabull", writing "Instanbull" to saying they explored "Turkey, which is a beautiful city". Shows how much actual knowledge and care went into their video. I'm sure the got a nice ad deal of a few grand, though.
The classic example of a low, straight-across procedure not aging well is Sylvester Stallone
I had my transplant three weeks ago 2200 grafts had no swelling no pain and no shedding as yet.

I really like your attention to details Dr. Gary. Thank you so much
I had so called unlimited hair transplant for set fee. When i asked after how many grafts they did , they weren't sure. I don't think anybody counts them or is able to keep track of them. They take few hours to pick them and it all depends on how fast technicians pick them. I had few different people swapping in turns to pick them
I wish that man had not worried about his hair loss. He looks fine.
Ahh yes "Instabull", also Turkey is a beautiful city indeed
Hi Gary. In this video you’re saying that oral Fin/minox is more effective/potent than topical. Are you sure about that? As far as I know, research has shown that topical application just gives the same effect as oral.
It was in IStanbul and not in INstanbul!!
Gary could just make me not as ugly…
how much did it cost?
@@MultiLightDark Being that I’m an ugly dude and there was no pressure, I got out with just over a couple of grand.
Your eyebrows looking fleek folks.
Hey Doc. I am now taking 2,5 mg minoxidil and get sometimes skin rashes. It doesn’t last long but I am afraid it could get worse ?
1:30, "Instead, we explore Turkey which is a beautiful city". 😂
I have got bad results done by 2 Istanbul clinics.
Oh wow, am really surprised to be honest, i guess you made not so smart choices!?
I pass on all this trouble and accept my dealt hand in the card game of life!
For real. I have a decent head of hair but if it goes away well shiz that’s how it goes
hey doc is it a norm for hair transplant clinics to not discuss medical therapy? i know someone in my personal life who got a hair transplant and has not been using finasteride or minoxidil for maintenance. i was honestly shocked saying the clinic he went to is terrible but you’re talking as if that’s a completely optional thing for those with hair transplants.
Thanks Dr Gary for your very honest opinions and professional information about the procedure, love your video
Indeed expertise in found every where in the world but cost is EXTREMELY cheaper in Turkey versus in the US or South Korea, with the same results.

4K grafts seem like way to much for his hairline recession
Who provides the aftercare after the patient fly back to his home country ? That would worry me if I decide to go out of the country for a surgical procedure.
