That’s me. I am way too lazy for the grades I get.

Summary Section
Point 1: You're Inflating Reality
Look at your assignments and think of how long the assignment will take. Doing this will help you lower your expectations of how hard the assignment will take.
Point 2: Gain some Sense of Control
As soon as you get an assignment answer the first question. This will help you not dread about the idea about the hardwork you will face, all you need to do is to keep the momentum.
Point 3: Create an After-School Routine
Start your work as soon as you get home, you can take a break but use a timer. This will give a defined a cut-off point for when you stop relaxing and start working.
Point 4: Minimum Viable Step
Do the easiest & simplest thing to get started. Don't think off all the other things you have to do or all of the other steps of the process. Do whatever you have to do even the tiniest task
Point 5: Fixed before Flexible
Some tasks are fixed meaning they'll usually take some Concrete Defined Amount on Time. Flexible tasks can vary, they have indefinite time to be accomplished. Do your fixed tasks then the flexible tasks, starting flexible tasks first can take up all the time. Starting with fixed tasks can leave room for you to do the Flexible tasks.
Point 6: Evenly Distribute Everything
Pretty self explanatory, it could make your life alot easier and prevent you from doing all your work at the last minute.
Point 7: The Countdown Method
Use a timer. As soon as the countdown is over you should find the impulse to jump up and start your work. It won't work everytime but it can come in handy.
I appreciate this
thanks bro

Same, deadline’s actually less than 3 hours and it’s like a semester of work. Probably should hurry with that.

Omg fr I got this notification while avoiding homework thank you so much! I'm on your wait-list for the high school roadmap (and super excited about it), but I can't pay for it. Will there be a free version available? Thank you!

The second he started talking about that 30 min break turning into an hour long break, I was like, he literally defined my existence.
My after school routine which could help some of you guys:
- empty backpack and take out lunchbox
-snack (I usually cut up some fruit and have a small piece of chocolate)
- 15 mins wind down (colouring, reading, anything u enjoy really)
- homework (all of these steps make it so much easier to start working)
- 15 mins chores (putting laundry away, clean ur room)
-free time/screen time (phone, tv)
Hey :)

Holy crap right timing. Avoiding homework is exactly what I was doing and all of the sudden this video popped up. Next thing I knew it I was finishing up a really late assignment. Thank you.
The way you explain the fixable before the flexible explain SO MUCH. I'm actually the type of person to immediately start and get everything done it one go. This barely leave anytime for my personal activities. And on those extra days when I finish early, I have a complete burnout crash. 😅 I'm going to try doing this, I sure hope this won't end up in disaster where things are left unfinished..
i love how organized you are, you really inspire me.
Your videos are the thing I always watch before doing my homework because it helps me get motivated thanks for the help!

I was just done with my math assignment that was overdue like last week and then I saw this video in my recommendations... Thank you so much Khan! I'm definetly gonna use this in the future!! ❤
Me as a High School student, I honestly do need help with getting my assignments done, I'm also in some AP classes, so I can't procrastinate, thanks for making these vids Gohar!
Hahahahahaha same. Fuck. I regret taking ap classes
@@hopesanddreams2998 no fr tho. sometimes i wanna get out but i also wanna try to take the tests for college credit. it's so fucking stressful
Thank you so much, I noted down all of these strategies. Also, I have ADHD/depression and I am often very easily burnt out, so I really appreciate the fact that you kept on acknowledging that people have different ability/strength levels and that even these strategies aren't feasible all the time. It really helped diminish the pressure I felt when thinking about executing them. Keep it up :)
Your advice is extremely useful to me as a postgraduate student- with so much to do daily,my brain would just switched off and grab the switch near me. Now I understand a bit on why it happens and try to sit in front of the books or just write the title of essay to start working.
Looking forward to your vids
This makes me feel like i finally can get things together, thank you
By the way Gohar, I motivated myself to getting up in the morning is when my body feels warn enough
No wonder I never feel motivated in the morning I sleep with a fan on LOL
this is REALLY good advice, its actually helpful, it is SO HELPFUL, THANK YOU!!
Actually, the fixed before flexible rule has been applied to my daily routine. I didn't know there's a theory about that until I watched your video. Thanks so much Gohar! Your tips & tricks contents are always useful and applicable!
Great video! Appreciate you and everybody else here, keep up the hard work everyone! 💯👍🏻👊🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
These videos help me feel capable of tackling my goals. Thank you Gohar!
If you have a bit more time and planning, I’ve found body doubling to be really effective at giving me motivation
wat
OMG YESS! I DIDN'T REALIZE IT HAD A NAME! Literally the only way that has worked for me to get homework done consistently is if like a teacher or authority figure is in the room lol. Thank you for giving me a name for this so I can look into this further! :D
@domino machines I take it body doubling is when another person spectates or helps you when you do tasks. This could be like inviting a friend over to just be there or hopping on a discord call while you help each other do work. This can work very well for some people.
I was just thinking of Homework just now, then saw this. Thanks man.
thanks a lot gohar for all the advice. A lot of your tips with both school stuff and college application stuff helped me recently get into boston college. you the best ❤😄
This was a great video with new ideas I hadn't heard. The gaining control was a really good one to keep the momentum kick started. Thanks!
Thank you bro, Ill definitley try some of these tactics
One recommendation for those who will take breaks, if you find yourself unusually productive as your break gets closer, try to push through and continue working as to capitalize fully on the productivity and focus instead of losing it by forcing a break. I've learned this from doing a few too many assignments last minute.
I've watched lots of productivity videos but this one is short AND super useful. It was seriously very helpful, thank you a lot!
Thanks! this actually really helped me, especially the 'Getting Control' part.
thank you mate! i have 2 projects, 2 presentations, an essay, and a few exams this week. this really helped me :)
Wish you luck✌️✌️
I'm glad!! also, that's SO much to do in a week. best of luck 🙏
Thank you man my semester is ending and my grade are doing pretty bad this video has given me motivation
thank you for blessing us with this video!!
Needed this more than I thought. Thanks Gohar
This video is helpful to me. Thank you sooooooooooo much Gohar.
another tip is to set goals. when I study it can feel like an infinite and dreadful task, but setting goals helps you feel like its actually doable. make sure that your giving 100% effort towards those goals.
Gohar, you should definitely upload more content. It helps a lot!
Thank you so much bro this is helpful ♥️
It's 11:23 and I have 3 assignments due by 11:59. Thanks for the tips!
Damn u literally had 39 mins , bro what did u do?
My way of dealing with procrastination was short term planning based on what I had to do for the week. Especially for college where your schedule is what you make of it, and classes become formulaic, I would consider what I had for each particular week and spread it out depending on due dates, time constraints, and difficultly of the assignment. I don't have a physical todo list or planner, I use my head to plan things out instead. This probably only works so well with me because I like things concrete and down and can be a little inflexible at times, but it all comes down to self control and discipline in the end.
Thank you so much for the ideas and the motivation you give
This was insanly helpfull. I really get stressed with all the assignments and getting everything done but this really motivated me.
This is so helpful my social studies assignments are crazy and I need help for this but thanks for the tips
so will you move teams or nah?
I was literally thinking to myself (ugh I need motivation to do my homework) and than I see this video. Lol thank you for this :)

This was SUPER helpful!! Great points!
well, this is an extremely well written video, but a flaw I see with one of the things that he says it to do the first question to gain control of the situation. Obviously this will make you feel much better about doing these assignments and lower the pressure, but one can get too relaxed. Once you feel that it is much easier than you thought, you will keep on procrastinating until the last minute thinking that it will be super easy and you can do it in a quick manner. Other than that, amazing tips and thank you for making videos like these
not avoiding homework. Just love watching Gohar.
Thank you so much for this, it have me loads of motivation to start working and quit slacking off till the last minute!
Nice advice, I will try to follow this method!
before when I was in 9th grade I used to procrastinate, but not too much. Now that I am a sophomore and taking more advanced classes I try not to procrastinate.
yeah that is me right now 😂
im basically in grade 11 but ever since 9th shit have become much harder. in grade 9 math we used to have like 30 math activities that go from easy to hard and youd practice, here in high school, there's like 5 but each of them take at least half an hour. it's so bad
When you said take breaks i got somehow really got motivated.
Taking 3 hour break after doing work for 10 minutes is the best.
needed this bro, thanks.
Thanks gohar for this video
High school starts tomorrow!!!
Here's another tip: do your work in order, from what you want to do
least to most. Hope this helps!🎉
What if you have a lot of assignments that have a specific order in which they need to be completed?
@@adammarch9604 Then do it how you should. This is just a suggestion, so it doesn’t always have to be directly followed. Good luck with your homework bud!

Hey Gohar, just wanna say your video did wonder's for me. Thanks so much
Genuinely, thank you dude.
He really just called me out like that
we go to school for 7-9 hours, we shouldn't have to do more school afterwards
even more would just squander the meaning of "Make the most of your time"
exactly. so here in greece, in high school you need to take an additional of like 12 hours (per week total) of extra classes in order to pass the college exams. things are very hard, one math activity takes at least 40 mins compared to middle's school 10 mins. and its not only math, all the subjects are hard. i personally spend 6 hours studying for no reason
needed this reminder thanks
Thanks gohar I needed this so much right now
