@@Abdur-Rahman862 Breakups can often be ridiculously draining, to the extent that whatever plans you had before the fact can be easily cast aside for long periods of time, if not indefinitely. Especially if one is the type to wallow in their negative emotions, it can be borderline impossible to muster up the will to work or better oneself. I know, as I've been here before.
Wow your perspective is really intriguing and insightful!. It's true that being productive can actually be simpler than we think; all it takes is organizing our tasks effectively. Focusing on what truly counts. Sometimes we tend to make things harder for ourselves by taking on much at once or feeling lost about where to begin. Once you grasp the art of prioritizing tasks wisely and delegating when needed while also making time for rest in between. Productivity starts to feel like nature. The key isn't striving for perfection, in everything you do. Instead aiming to do things well enough on a consistent basis. I appreciate the boost of motivation you've provided!

One of the best pieces of advice I have used is a done list. This is helpful to me because I like to use notion, an online platform, to organize my schoolwork. Since I don't have the tangible feeling of crossing it out on paper, i can click the box and drag it to the done list side. It's so nice to see your to do list get shorter and your done list get longer. But the biggest thing is to just do it. It can be anything, the task can be as small as you need since it will help you build up.

Now, I can rest easy for the next 8 minutes and 7 seconds of my life, before the withdrawals begin again. Thank you easy, actually for saving my life.
I think one of the biggest solutions I’ve found helpful is when you have for instance hw u have to do, and u really wanna get on ur phone, just sit there at ur desk without ur phone. u don’t even have to do the work, but just don’t do anything especially not getting on ur phone. Eventually you’ll “want” to do work, or at least feel less less motivated to do it. and ofc like everything it takes time and patience, with bumps all over the road
I reallly appreciate the quality of these videos. Dont ever give up on quality for quantity, I will always want well summarized information on a subject once a month more than a half as good video twice a week.

What actually helped me was to start being honest with myself. I now track how much I actually do and use two to do lists. One for the easy tasks and one for the hard tasks so that whenever I lack the motivation to do the hard tasks I can just go to the easy tasks and do those. Sure, I won't ever do all my hard tasks but I will do a lot more than nothing.
as someone with ADHD I wasn't expecting this to have much practical advice for me but dam honestly this is great! the tips for creating motivation(since adhd is chronic lack of dopamine aka motivation hormone) totally work for me and are sometimes even habits I already have. The motivation cycle of the ADHD brain is not very efficient on a good day and distractions are more plentiful and harder to deal with and only slow the cycle down. On the flip side, a work may give us so much motivation that it is The Only Work that we can thing about for days to weeks at a time, immune to all distractions, but we do not get to choose what becomes The Only Work. We do what everyone else does but at wildly different speeds
just to remind yall, life isnt perfect, we are humans. you dont have to be productive all the week, have breaks and enjoy the life between these busy days, its okay if you have done nothing at all today just make sure it doesnt continue that way :D

This makes everything look more manageable and it’s easier to get stated in the first place

Plan time during your week to do your project.
I'm programming a to-do list app myself. What and how did you make? Does it work?
@@PaperRabbits_ Hey Simon, what I did was basically setup a cron job that iterates every 1 min for a script that converts my Markdown to-do file in my Documents folder, into a styled HTML/CSS file using pandoc, which is hosted using Apache2 on my linux machine. What's your twist on a to-do implementation?
@@arnavshukla2408 woah, thats quite smart! Simple to set up (if you got the tools & know-how).
I had a lot of personal preferences and requirements that I wanted. Many possible extra task details like expected time, and ordering them by priority or time. Eventually a way to generate a small sub-set list that is do-able in one day (calculated from said taks time details).
So I'm building an application from scratch using Svelte -- Javascript backend & frontend. I discovered Svelte Tauri, which is build on rust that makes a whole svelte project very easily multi-platform deployment. To make the whole software an offline desktop application (and eventually should be easy enough to deploy an online version as well as an mobile version)

I actually think that this one in a month way of posting videos is very good because you can make:
- better quality videos
- don't have to force yourself to come up with ideas
- you can polish the video to make it better because of the time.
"Such a refreshing take! It's true-productivity doesn’t have to be as complicated as we make it. The way you broke it down into simple steps made it feel way more achievable. Sometimes, it’s just about starting small and building momentum. Definitely feeling inspired to get more done with less stress!"
a good hack i use almost all the time, is having a to do list and adding tasks I've already done to it. example, if i have school work to complete at home, but i completed some minor tasks at school ill add them to my to do list just to cross them off and gain motivation that way. also another thing that helps is to just start with the smallest tasks and gradually i wont want to do anything else because I'm already in a flow state

Also, an important thing to keep in mind is adaptability. You don't know what will happen tomorrow, as soon as you learn problem solving and be able to mould your schedule to inconveniences you will be more flexible, less anxious and more efficient in the long run.

To be honest, this applies to nearly everything EXCEPT "self-improvement" advice like Productivity, or philosophy of life content like Stoicism. There is a never-ending cycle of people becoming interested in these subjects just as there is a never-ending cycle of people getting tired of hearing the same thing for the 50th time.
Abdaal will probably have/want to branch out eventually to some extent, sure, but I think you're underestimating the longevity of his kind of content. I mean, Ryan Holiday reproduces basically the same video essentially every week and his niche isn't much different

Dont ever give up on quality for quantity, I will always want well summarized information on a subject once a month more than a half as good video twice a week.

rinse and repeat for a few years and you'll end up with depression. I am thankful that I actually figured out that there was something wrong with me and that I got help even though it took me way longer to reach out for help than I would have liked.
