There’s no such thing as a “bad” Disturbed song in my opinion.

well I guess that's some people's opinion yet I am not a fan of the new stuff the vengeful one album didn't like it only the sound of silence. they got back together and released the album a day before my birthday which I was excited for because they were on their hiatus from each other except the two who started another band of course they all did other bands. Disturbed was one band that got me into heavy metal and I could listen to them all day it wasn't until Pandora and I started listening to other heavy metal and know I have so many more Disturbed is my favorite yet I can't listen to this or most of the new stuff
Over the years Disturbed has became one of those bands that metalheads love to hate, which is a real shame because of the bands like that, Disturbed is the least deserving of it. I’m of course biased bc they are my all time favorite band, but Disturbed never “sold out”, Disturbed never turned their back on the audience, Disturbed never did “features” of other artists to improve their own sales. Many people say “they put out the same songs every album” as if they all sound the same, but that couldn’t be further from true. Take one random song from all 6 albums (Lost Children isn’t an album so no it’s not 7), none of them will sound even remotely similar.
Great reaction as always Alex, one of the reasons you’re one of the top reaction channels (in my book) is bc you are reacting to them first hand, you don’t have any outside influence, even from the audience, telling you what song is good and what song is bad. You can tell this because almost every “metalhead” who isn’t a Disturbed fan thinks “Are You Ready” is shit. And you loved it.
If you want some straight fire from Disturbed, listen to Into the Fire. There are two music videos from it, gotta make sure to watch the one with the disclaimer at the start from David Draiman (yes you said his name right), the song is super killer but super sad and the video enhances it greatly.

I know I mostly listen to Death Metal like Immolation, but also like Disturbed, the problem is that many people are retarted and call bands shit when they are not brutal and that is very stupid, when they would have an open mind they would find a band they like maybe in every metal subgenre
I love Disturbed and i hate when bands change to much to often, however i disagree with you i feel Disturbed just make the same music over and over again. This is an extremely poor come back single.

It's actually talking about detaching from the data farms of social media where they mine your information and learn about you through your political preferences and beliefs, likes and dislikes. By being a part of it, they know your weakness's and strengths and can use it against you if the time ever arises where they need it. Are you ready for the revolution (removing yourself from social media) For too long your power has been taken away, its been taken away. (For too long you've sat behind a screen and written about how you feel and fighting one another about it rather than going out together and doing something about it.) You've gotta get them out of your mind (Remove the addiction of social media) They aren't ready for us to be strong. (If they can't track you, they can't be sure how to attack you.) It really is a political movement to remove you from their sites so you can fight them when they try to become the through police. The whole song is a powerful metaphor. Incredible

One cool thing I found out after just listening to some interviews with the band is that Dan wrote the riff for this song while they were writing 10000 fists but it didn’t materialize at the time

The vocals in The Animal are by far my fave, the way he transitions from his smoother lower tone more natural voice into his higher more raspy sound back to his lower smoother sound repeatedly throughout the song sends chills up my spine.

Disturbed is one of my all time faves. Ive seen them live 6 times, they put on an awesome show.

I've requested "Dark Chest of Wonders" from Wacken 2013 for over two months now. Not holding my breath that he is ever going to do a Nightwish song.
Everyone should just spam the song into every video he makes. Upvotes are good and all, but having half the comments filled with Nightiwsh is far more likely to capture his attention.

They "electrocuted" him and the lights went out. Then he opened his mouth, the lights came back on, it was just awesome. This was my first concert experience (in Indy). I saw a circle forming on the floor and was introduced to the world of mosh pits. I immediately jumped the rails and ran towards it, as if it were calling me and my buddies. Its been almost 20 years now since that day. I will forever love Disturbed

As a long time fan, this song reminds me so much of The Sickness album. Seems Disturbed has went back (and added) to the sound that first cemented them as a metal frontrunner. In terms of meaning of the song, I get more of a "Government always watching, forcing you to obey and be obedient, but they aren't ready for us to be strong and turn into someone who cannot be preyed upon" rather than technology and the technological advancement taking over and controlling us ^^.
You are of course not wrong in your take on it, just like I'm not wrong in mine. That's the beauty of music, we can all be right! (kinda at least :V)
