    Something that is self evident. Development of the dihedral gives you the bevel angle for your saw when you miter the roof sheeting together. True lengths you find, true cuts you make

      Half the dihedral is bevel for sheeting miter

    Cool stuff. You are wrong about the methods not making it to the English world…. They certainly did. William neubecker and Fred Hodgson both Americans both wrote comprehensive works in the 19th century covering the methods, which neubecker described as “surface development”
