  • Pat Moore is the instructor for the stereotomy class and hails from Canada. In this class, students are building an end table stool using a repeating X brace. What makes the design unique is that the X brace gets rotated slightly. To solve for the trestle, everything is drawn out. In the drawing, or the visual representation helps to figure out layouts and solve for real lengths and angles. This information is then transferred onto the wood piece. It's kind of like a science; there's no guesswork involved. Students don't try to fit something to see if it fits. It either fits, or if it doesn't, it's because there's an error in the drawing somewhere. Thanks for watching.
