9:21 I use good notes for textbooks! I just import the pdf to good notes, and once there I can highlight, annotate, and most importantly, copy images/diagrams from the book to my notes.
Loved the video, I will definitely be downloading some of these apps onto my iPad for when I start vet school in the fall! An idea for another video that I think would be helpful is how you incorporate health and fitness into your busy vet student schedule and maybe meal ideas that you like to make.
Great video, I’ll definitely have to check some of these out for the upcoming semester. I love Merck Vet Manual App, it’s great, it has quizzes to test your knowledge, reference guides, and a super cool interactive case simulation!!
This is such a good idea!! I’m by no means a Notion expert but I could definitely go through the templates I use if that’s something you guys would be interested in seeing!! ☺️
God bless your videos, I just came across them this week 😭🙏🏼 Getting into vet tech school has been a journey for me since I decided I wanted to go back to school in 2018 haha Once I finally had the require prerequisites for the program, covid happened and made things more complicated. I'll be 30 this September and I'll be entering my second year of a three year program. Normally it's two years here in NS but... covid messed alot of things up. My first year has been all online and it's been a struggle trying to adjust, especially being a hands on learner like I am. For my second year, even though we are moving back to in person learning again, I decided to go paperless. Leaving me with more room for books in my bookbag, having my notes all in one place instead of multiple binders and on my laptop, and I'll still be able to retain the information by writing my own notes while keeping them organized. So I decided to get and ipad and apple pencil. You're videos have helped me decide how I will tackle my second year and all of the information you have given is useful. Despite me only studying to be a VT, we have similar tasks in the profession and your tips are helpful for me too. Thank you so much! 😊
You're very welcome! We don't have a ton of assignments in vet school honestly. It's mostly exams but for most assignments I use microsoft word on my Mac!
My favourite tool was a 3D anatomy model on VIN! We get a free subscription to VIN ad students but I'm not sure if that's just my school or if that's available to any student! Hope this helps 😊
I should have clarified that in the video! Goodnotes is a note taking app whereas book is more for just reading (the annotating features on books is very limited). Goodnotes has so many additional features for note taking and studying compared to books!
@@yourvetamanda Okay thank you! I am on Samsung right now and Goodnotes is not available, but I think I'll take an Ipad and maybe even a Macbook for my university studies in 2 years, so I'll be able to downloada Goodnotes.
Do you need a scholarship to get into a good vet school? I’m bad at every talent and I get B’s in my classes and some A’s so I don’t think I can get a scholarship for that. My question is when you apply for vet school is their a certain amount of kids who get accepted and do the kids with scholarships have a higher percentage for getting into a vet school then the kids with no scholarship? I also had a question if you HAVE to go to a very school to become a vet or if you can just go to a university or college?
I can only speak for OVC specifically but a scholarship doesn't play a role in your acceptance at all! Everyone is evaluated based on the same criteria (marks and interview score)! However, you can get scholarships once you are accepted into the program! You have to go to a vet school to become a vet. Hope that helps!
Vet school is 4 years in most places (some are 5 year programs). The first 3 years are classroom learning and then the 4th year is all clinical! You can apply for an internship once you graduate and that’s a full year, but that’s not part of vet school! Hope that helps 😊
So you need to have google chrome downloaded! Once you have that you can go to chrome extensions and type in "Video Speed Controller" you can add the extension to your chrome and then it will work on any site on chrome!
I hope you guys enjoy this weeks video and let me know what your favourite apps are down below!! 🥰

It's such a cool platform!! I would have been so lost without it last year!!
Hi Amanda, I really admire the way you always have everything organized and inspire me to be a better veterinary student greetings from Mexico!!!!! :)
Thank you so much!! Trust me, I don't always have everything organized so don't worry!! Hi from Canada!! 😊
What school are you going to? Is it an online or in person? I'm planning on moving to Mexico soon
hi I'm going to universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narró (UAAAN) and it's in person and it's ubicate on Torreón coahuila
Love your Veterinarian Videos
I use goodnotes to highlight and annotate the books as well! Very useful, although it can crash when you load in the book the first time
That’s good to know! I tried goodnotes first but it crashed like you said! I might have to give it another try then ☺️ thanks!!
thank u for this video!! ❤️

Thanks for the video. May I ask how do you do your assignments, like essays or projects? Which apps did you use?

Vetpocket app! :)
Thanks for this info! Did you find any apps/websites that really helped you in anatomy?

Thank you for this helpful video! I was just wondering, what's the difference between Goodnotes and Books? Thanks!

It's the ipad pro!
How many years are their in vet school, I’ve heard 4 but does the internship count as one of the 4 years?

Is vet school har? Or easier then normal classes like English, math, social studies, etc?
I personally find it harder than my undergrad degree!
👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
Why is anatomy for animals and humans so different?
I failed my 1rst year vet 💔
No shade but you talk too slow for me so I always watch you at 1.5 speed 😂
Hahah no worries 😂 I speed up most of the UA-cam videos I watch too!
