Thank you! So, I live on a hobby farm and when we were younger my 2 younger sisters and I would play "vet" with out friends😆. Our poor cats! They hated it!!! We would do health checks on our cat, chickens, rabbits, donkeys, and horses. We'd make up cases and yeh! Lol. The horses behaved the best!😄
Thank you for sharing this, I appreciate these answers, I graduate in Spring 2023 and my major is in Science and arts. It stunned me how many degrees will get you into Vet school it's really cool. I hope to be done soon and get into a Vet school!
i really want to be a vet but its really hard to get experience here in El paso Tx. I've applied to vet clinics but never got a call back. The closer i get to finishing my animal science degree the less motivated i am cause i know if i apply i wont get into vet school. i admire your go get it attitude i wish i had more of that :(
Hello! I ran into this issue during undergrad. I had a hard time getting a job in a veterinary clinic due to a lack of veterinary experience. Therefore, I decided to go to veterinary technician/nurse school. It is a two year program and you get a lot of animal handling experience and experience in veterinary clinics with internships. Through my internships I was able to get letter of recommendations for vet school, animal handling experience, practicing my technical skills, and veterinary experience. I applied to vet school during my last year of vet tech school so I could start vet school in the Fall after I graduated from vet tech school. If I did not get into vet school on my first try I still had a vet tech degree which would allow me to continue get more animal experience and had the credentials to work in a vet clinic and would try again the following year. A vet tech degree is not for everyone but it does help give you veterinary experience needed for vet school. If a vet tech degree not an option for you, I would see if you can volunteer at various vet clinics and animal shelters/rescues. This will give you a foot in the door and could lead to a job offer. :)
All respect to your effort .You are really a role model that all vet students should follow.I want to ask how difficult pharmacology and pathology are as I am going to study them
Thank you so much!! I personally found pharmacology challenging. There's just a ton of drugs and I had a hard time keeping them all straight in my head. Pathology I actually really liked and I found it much easier to study for!
Hey! It will depend on where you live and what vet school you want to attend! For most vet schools in North America, the classes you take in high school won’t directly impact your vet school application. Your high school courses will allow you to apply to an undergrad program before vet school! I recommend taking the science courses in high school! I have a couple videos on my channel talking about advice for high school students - if you have any other questions after watching those videos feel free to reach out!!
I'm starting vet school in a few weeks and I feel like studying for anatomy is going to be the toughest... how do you study for those courses and do all those latin names actually stick in your brain long-term?
You've got this!!! Quizlet is my favourite for long term memorization but I'll be honest, it's been 2 years since I took anatomy and there's a ton I don't remember haha!
You are so special amazing queen inspiring and keep up the awesome work 💕💕 most hard working and remarkable person and unbelievable and proud of you of everything you accomplished over the years ❤️🌈✨💕❤️♥️🐼✨🌈💕♥️🌈❤️♥️✨🌈✨💕♥️
Aww u are sooo cute i love your informative and motivational videos just i can't experss how sweet u r soo ya . And one request is u can make a video of your vet school tour pls just one request from your fan pls. Ans me
Studying veterinary medicine at Guelph is by biggest dream, I feel like it will never happen. I am a student from France, and I am in Ontario Canada for this school year but I really don't think I'll be able to stay in Canada for more than this year, it is way to expensive for my parents. The French school system is sooo bad compared to Canada that I really think I won't be strong enough to survive in high school/post secondary in France. My only hope is if a bank in France or Canada accept to give me a loan, but that would represent $240,00 for 8 years (4 undergrad/4 vet schools) only for the school, without talking about housing, food and everything else you need to live 😔
If you have more questions ask them down below!! 🐾
What subjects do you need in high school to be a vet and how long is vet school
What is hardest thing being a student vet?
How do you balance everything? What ur favorite animal you work with? Plus how do keep fit and healthy? ❤️🐼💕
How do you compress after a stressful day of school? Where do you get ur clothes? So cute 🥰
Is it hard being a vet
Thank you for the encouragement and the advice! I'm starting 10th grade this year and am working towards college and vet school!
I'm in the same boat!!!
I support you're dreams as well 😊💖🐕🐱

I don't know if you have done a video about this- but mental health after euthanasia- one of my main concerns with being veterinarian

@@yourvetamanda Of Course your welcome 🤗 ♥️✨
Can you take anatomy in the animal biology undergrad at guelph?
You can probably take it as an elective! I just chose to take easier courses for my electives to boost my average haha!

@@yourvetamanda if you have done already done bachelor can we do master in guelph?
how do you write on the lecture slides? Does your professor give you the slides beforehand and you just print them out first?
Yeah we get all out lecture slides ahead of time! So I’d download them and then add them to Goodnotes so I could annotate/highlight each slide! 😊
Looking forward becoming good friends ✨♥️
