Thank you! Found a fledgling sparrow in our pool tonight. Will try to get it to the rescue tomorrow- but in the meantime- thank you.
No problem! Thank you for saving little birdy 😊😊😊💕
Sak soon I litterly rescued a baby bird this morning and it has its eyes closed but it has feathers, do you know what I should do with it? I have it in a Tupperware box and it has tissues in there.
Baby birds need to be fed every 30min, or 1hr at least. Feeding is the most important part to save its life, I believe. Soak some dried cat food with warm water and break them into little pieces. try to give it with a tweeze. The best way that works 100% is make the cat food into a liquid form (soak it in water for a long time and smash it with spoon) and feed it with an eyedropper. You have to do it asap because we don't know how long it's been starving.
If you don't think you can do all these work (I know it's a lot of work lol), take it to the bird rescue place near your area. They will take the baby bird. Thank you for asking me to save the little stranger's life 😇😇😇💖
Alyssa Gonzalez Dont forget you need to keep the bird in a warm area. if they get cold very easy and it will effect their eating. Best of luck!
@@SAKSOON Hi Sak-Soon. When we are sleeping do they need to be fed still?
@@purpleduck3494 no, birds sleep at night around 11pm, too! But they wake up early 😂😂. I had to wake up at 6am to feed the bird lol
I just rescued a baby cowbird that hasn't even opened its eyes yet and is about to have feathers, I've been giving it soft moist kitten chow and hard boiled egg with tweezers. I'm not as comfortable using the tweezers as I've only ever used the dropper for rehabbing baby squirrels and I'm new to baby bird feeding. Is it okay to use the dropper and the formula that you showed on the cowbird baby? Also I've read about not using liquid as it can go into the wrong area and was wondering if that could be a problem with formula you showed? Sorry for how long this is and all my questions just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.
First of all, thank you so much for saving the baby💕. And yes, you can use the same formula with the eyedropper and that would be perfect. Baby birds just can't drink water straight. Water in the formula that you used to soften the food is fine. And feed it every two hours at least. I hope you for the best!! 😊💖 And if you have any question, feel free to ask me any time!
@@SAKSOON thank you so much for replying so quickly! I'll definitely start using this formula and the dropper as soon as possible and I'll let you know if I have any question or concerns xx
No problem 💕 😊😊😊
Is it ok with dog food? I have a pet dog so I have extra dog food laying around. Or do i have to go out and buy cat food?
Yes, you can use dog food! It works perfectly fine. I think cat food has more stuffs that baby birds need, but there shouldn't be any problem with dog food. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
I just found a baby bird outside that was being chased by my dogs. This is so helpful on how to care for it. Thank you so much 😊
I'm glad this video helped you and little birdy 😀😀😀💕 I'm sure you will take real good care of it!
I have bad news.... the bird died😭
@@kittycat8828 oh no!! What happened to the birdy!?!? 😭😭😭😭
I have no clue. We think that it had been so stressed out before we found it that it died
@@kittycat8828 There are so many ways that cause sudden death for birds. I guess you are right. That little friend prolly had a real tough time and that caused stress😔😔😔 The birdy is in a better place now with no pain...! 🌈💕
How cute
Found a baby bird yesterday that doesn't even have its eyes open or grown its feathers. There are not many rescues near me and the one that takes birds was completely full. Thanks for this video! I will definitely use this recipe!
Thank you for saving the little guy 💖 I hope for the best! 😊😊😊💖
Hello! I found a baby bird with no nest around but I have now cat or day food to add to the mix! I have hamster food but I don’t think that would work! The bird has a few feathers and I tried to feed it a mix of banana water and sugar, any help would be appreciated! Thank you :)
I have no* cat or dog food
Thank you for saving the little birdy, Damaris💕 Cat food is the best to feed the baby bird because it contains enough protein that baby birds need to consume. If the baby bird doesnt get enough protein, it will have poor feathers that might cause a problem with flying later on. You don't need to add sugar in the food 🙂. Also please provide it some food that has vitamins! I hope your baby bird grows healthy 😊💖
SAK- SOON thank you so much! We found the nest and put it back but this morning another birdie fell out :( I will try to make aid of food that contains protein for it! Thank you!

I have a baby mynah which i found. I have been feeding it cat food from the tin can and then i bought these pellets for apprently mynahs (according to the pet shop) and have moistened it with water and feed it. Am i doing it correctly? Idk how old is it. I want it to fly one day so hopefully it does. Please give me some tips if you know thank you.
Thank you for saving the little birdy 💕.
It would be easier for the bird to eat the paste form of cat food (the pallet one). If it's a baby bird、cat food might be the best choice because they need to consum A LOT of protein、which cat food contains. If it's an adult bird、any bird food would work on it.
@@SAKSOON hii thanks for replying:) okay ill try my best to get some pellet cat food to moisten and feed it. How do i get my bird to eat by itself eventually? I know i have to feed it but im not sure for how long exactly. Thanks for helping :))
No problem!💕 It took Chili about 2 months for her to eat on her own lol. It happened when she was less than two months old, but it felt like quiet a long time. Place a bowl of tiny seeds near the birdy, so your bird can play with it. It will eventually realize that it's food and try to eat. Make sure you use a big bowl or some enclosed container because the baby bird will splash the seeds everywhere 😂
@@SAKSOON hii thank you so much for your advice!! Nowadays he has progressed from those paste like cat food to eating worms. However he refused to eat anything else but he is growing very well. Unfortunately he needed to be released back so he was able to eat on his own and also fly very well (he flys back to me sometimes) so yeah thank you for your advice❤️ he is healthy little birdie and is now about to meet friends outside where he belongs 😊😊 you are amazing and hope chilli is doing super well😘🤗👌
AWWWWWWHH 😭💖💖💖💖 I'm so glad your little guy is doing awesome and ready for the new life!! I knew you would do an awesome job 😆😆😆⭐ I hope he makes a lot of friends later on!
I have wet cat food, will that work? I don’t have the pellets stuff. Pls reply soon I just found a nestling fallen on the ground and I don’t know what to do!! And I can’t find the parents anywhere
It's not the best but it still works. Thank you so much for trying to help this little birdy💕 I hope everything goes well with your care and love 😊💖
SAK- SOON thank you!!
@@SAKSOON hey! Do you know why wet cat food is not as good? I've been using that for my baby sparrow for the last two days and he seems to be getting a lot stronger! He's about 8 days old now maybe. I just want what's best for the little guy!!
@@doIlie Hey! I'm glad the birdy is doing great!! Keep it up😀✊💕
Wet food contains only 10% of protein while dry food has 25% of protein. Protein is very important for baby birds. And also, try to provide unsweetened applesauce for extra vitamins. Lake of vitamins can cause poor feather growth.
@@SAKSOON thank you so much for replying!!! I'm going to try mixing eggs with the cat food like you did👍😊
I'm afraid of giving the little guy applesauce though. I read somewhere that sugar is bad for birds and apples are pretty sugary. I wonder if a different fruit would be good for him? Maybe banana would have the vitamins?? I feel like such an overprotective mom hahaha 😂💓
I'm going to go kidnap a few baby birds now.:D

no problem at all :). Let me know if you have any question!
The sparrow I was taking care of died. He was such a good Cricket. My dad assumed it was sickness and I have no idea. It was horrible because he was so bonded to me and loved humans. I miss him so much. But now me and my mom are going to start fostering parrots at a parrot rescue! :D I love birds.

Hello, I found a baby bird, but my question is do I have to feed it every 30 minutes or only when its chirping? because my bird was chirping a lot and I fed it a cricket, but now that it is nighttime my bird is asleep and it's been 30 minutes so do I feed it or do I let it sleep since it is not chirping? Thank you! And I hope you can respond!
If it's fledgling, you can feed every 2 hours. If it's younger than that, feed every 30min-1hr. You must feed it until it refuses to eat (that's when it's full). Baby birds eat from 6am to 11pm. Yeah, it's a lot of work lol. I had to lock myself in the room for like 3months 😂😂😂. If the baby is a national bird, it is illegal to keep the baby, so it's better to take it to the bird sanctuary and they will take good care of it. Try to feed the formula I showed in the video for the best result!
And thank you for taking care of the baby bird 💕☺
@@SAKSOON thank you!
Helloooo! Thank you for this helpful video. Me and my family found a young bird that seemed to hit their head, and now we're trying to get it to recover. The thing is, we don't have any apple sauce for the time being. Are there any alternatives?? I hope you can reply 😊
Apple sauce is an option just for the extra vitamins and nutrition. It's still fine without it 🙂.
Thank you so much for helping the little birdy☺💖 I hope the bird recovers soon💕
@@SAKSOON oh, okay! Thank you so much :D
I tried feeding the bird. It didn't seem to eat, but it recovered quickly. We set him free now
Thanks again for the help :D
Thanks so much for this video. I just found and took it a baby bird 2day. Anything else I can feed it?.
Maybe you can get some seed mix and let them soaked in water, then add it to the baby bird food! If you go to the pet store, there's vitamin supplement for birds. You can add it too following the instruction 😃
I found baby greater coucal bird.. can i feed the baby bird with boiled egg yolk and ripe mango paste and boiled and mashed pulse or boiled and mashed soya chunks... Because cat and dog food is not available because there is no pet shop nearby.... Plz reply
They are carnivores and I think it needs to be fed with bugs and insects, ans even snails. They can eat small fruits but not suitable as a main meal since fruits contain too much sugar. I highly suggest you to take it to the local wild rehabilitation asap if you can't feed it with a lot of insects.
@@SAKSOON thank you so much for your reply
옴냐 옴냐-♥
움냐 움냐 ㅡ ❤
Is it ok to make it with just the cat food and a bit of water? (Leaving out the apple sauce and egg yolk)
Cat food also works! Kitten food is the best because it contains more protein, but for emergency substitution, cat food or dog food can work. Egg yolk gives extra protein, so that's another plus.
@@SAKSOON Alright, thank you! One more thing, do I leave the food out in room temperature? And how long would it last? 6 days?
@@cheesecakeknight5862 I suggest you to store it in the refrigerator. It might go bad fast in this hot weather.
Do I have to feed the bird every 1-2 hours?
Yes, every 2 hours at least. They will chirp to call you for food if they are super duper hungry lol
Okay 👌🏼 thanks
the baby bird outside my home better watches out...;D
Would it be ok to feed them dog food, or ferret food?.
It's okay, but it doesn't contain enough protein that baby birds need. It's not good for long term care.
This is a really help video. Chili is growing up so well.😀😀😀
Thank you, Sarah :DDDD
I found a baby sparrow, he looks about 24 hours old at the most. He’s asleep now, but I’ve been feeding him the juice out of wet dog food and it has seemed to keep him alive. Is this okay for now?
Thank you for saving the baby sparrow 💕 Oh you must not feed any liquid stuff. And water is also dangerous for baby birds. If you don't have dry food to make it into paste with water, you can feed him that wet dog food as an emergency food. Dry kitten food is the best for baby birds like I showed on the video. Try to keep him warm with a towel. You have to feed it every 30min-1hour. Once it grows bigger and gets feathers, feed it every 1-2hours from 6am to 11pm. I hope the baby survives 🥺
@@SAKSOON I didn't feed him any water, it was just liquid pieces from turkey dog food. it was proteinous so it would've been enough to get him through the night so it was more of an emergency food just for the time being. but I woke up at 2:30 AM to feed him some more and he wasn't moving as much so I just assumed he was sleepy. he did slurp some of that dog food up and then I woke up again at about 5 AM so I went down to check and I stood there for a minute and he was taking his last breaths and he passed away in front of me about 5 minutes later. I gave him warmth and shelter for the night and it was all I could do. I think he might've had something wrong with him, his belly was very purple and swollen. I googled pictures of baby sparrows and they do have little lumps but my bird looked very swollen. he fell off the roof so he could've had internal bleeding and damage so I doubt he would've made it anyway. I did the best I could, but it was upsetting. I wanted him to grow older so I could feed him easier. he was way too small. he was tweeting the day before and throwing his head back for food, once I started feeding him that dog food he gained so much strength but then he deteriorated in the night :(
do you have any idea what this purple mass on his belly could've been? I do have a picture too.
@@emilywood6662I'm so sorry to hear what happened to the little birdy 😢. That swollen belly is probably the reason why he died. Just like you said, there must be some internal damage when he fell from the nest and maybe the blood was building up slowly 😔. Wild animals try their best not to look like they are sick to protect themselves from predators. Maybe that's why you couldn't notice that he wasn't feeling well 😔. You tried your best. There's nothing you could do about it. At least you gave him comfort and warmth until the end 💖 The bird prolly felt very thankful ☺
Just in case if you find another baby bird one day, you don't need to feed the baby from 11pm to 6am. They sleep at night 🙂🙂🙂
@@SAKSOON Thank you so much for your help and kind words!❤️💕 I'll keep that in mind for the future (just in case!) and ill also be following your bird food recipe too, I didn't think about pouring boiling water over dry dog food. very smart and practical! ☺️
Please help me k found a nestling on the ground, fed her some dried mealworms, now she is in a cardboard box with a towel and a piece of warm fabric because i put that out in the sun, i also turned my heater on ( even tho its summer and now ill have to suffer T_T) what do i do?!?! When do i have to feed it and it is squeaking like crazy just...pls i need help
You are doing a good job so far! Keeping the baby bird warm is very important. You need to feed the baby every two hours at least. It will go to sleep at around 11-12, so you can stop feeding at night. And the birdy will start chirping for food at like 6am lol. The food method I use would be the best for the baby bird. They can't drink water, but they do need somewhat moisture in their food. Plus the method I do in the video also provides A LOT of protein they need.
Thank you so much for saving this little creature 💕
SAK- SOON thank you...but I don’t have cat food...she is still squeaking even tho i think i have given her enough food ??? I am not planning to keep her but I can’t risk having her dead outside can i give her something else without cat food and apple sauce? She was just laying on the ground in my garden...i also found another nestling nearby...dead....i have looked on every tree nearby but there were no nest on any of them...what do i do T_T she is still squeaking and i am lowkey having a panic attack this is just so unexpected ahhhhhh
Oh no she changed the way she squeaks!!!! It was like KRRRRRRRRKRRRKKRRR to KRN KRN KRN KRN OMG IS SHE DYING I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BIRDS !!!!!
Also do you think that i should put her in a bucket with a towel and put her back outside ???
What I did was buying a small pack of kitty food and unsweetened apple sauce. This is the best way to keep the bird alive. It's prolly looking for the mom. If the bucket has a bright color like red or orange, try to cover it with a towel because the mommy bird might not be able to approach because it looks strange to her. A cardboard box with a towel would be the best option if you are planning to keep it outside.
Is it ok to just use the egg yolk and dog food?
Yes, it's not the best but it still works! 😊
SAK- SOON thank you so much for the fast reply, i tried it for my four baby birds and they seem to be liking it 🥰👍

where do i put it? How can I keep it warm?
Oh my goodness!!! God bless that little birdy! You can put her in a box filled with tissues or towels to keep him warm. And try to feed him the food I showed you in this video. You don't need to give him water because they can't drink water until they grow up. The moisture in the food should be enough for him.

That’s adorable I have a baby sparrow she loves palma Han and Italian meats I chop them up really small soak in water to get rid of salts she loves is comes for cuddles with me and teddy bear in the day and cuddles up with her bear who’s 96% bigger than her she cuddles up to
My arms tweets away wile I stroke her and she drifts off sleep my dog junior who’s a shar-pei which the the breed isn’t meant to like small animals just ignore her wile she’s out mind you mummy wouldn’t be a happy if they went anywhere near Harley but she’s a wild bird who at some point will want to leave I fortunately it’s illegal in the Uk to keep them so as soon as she’s finding on her own I will be bring the rspca and sending her off to bird school I am going to ask if they will release her into my garden and I’ll have cuddle before she goes but I will leave a window open for her and birders are alway full in my garden and have strawberries and other fruits growing and apple trees and cherry trees she’ll not starve and if she wants to come in at night to safety of house I’ll not stop her the window be open so she can get in and out as she wants if they arrest me I don’t care she safe sound and hell all animals some love not matter what and helping heads sometimes I alway be there for animal in need not what domestic or wild so if get locked up for being a human then hell I am guilty as charged
If you are planning to release the baby, it is actually not a good idea to cuddle or talk to the bird. They must not form any bond with humans because it's very dangerous for them to survive in wild. I know it sounds very harsh and hurtful but it's better to drop her at the wild bird rehab asap(if it's illegal to keep sparrows in your country). When you are dropping her at the rehab, tell her what you've been feeding her and what you did so far for the bird, so they know what to do next.
Also, meat is not good for the baby. Even though you soak it in the water, it still has too much sodium and spices.
I hope everything will go well with you and the baby 🙏💕
When it be fine without the apple sauce?
It's totally fine without the apple sauce. Apple sauce gives more vitamin and it's more beneficial for the bird. The bird won't die from not eating extra vitamin. I started adding apple sauce because Chili's feather problem didn't get any better.
SAK- SOON oops I spelled "Will" to "when" lol and ty for answering my question :)
It's okay, I still could understand. 😂😂😂👍👍👍
Btw tbh I found a baby bird 1 week ago and Idk what to feed him so I did some research. I found out how you can make different kinds of baby bird food but I don't have the ingredients so I just fed him with worms. After 3 days I found this video and I was thinking of buying the ingredients, but I don't have today time because I need to go to a restaurant because it was my birthday. It was at around 7 I feed him 4 worms and went to the restaurant. When I came back home it was around 11 and I was being really stupid I knew that wild baby birds don't get food around that time but I was worry that he might be hungry and feed him 3 worms. The next time when I woke up I saw him laying down and he didn't move at all and when I took him out I notice that he was dead. I was thinking that the reason why he died is also that I gave him too much food at once in each hour and my house might be too cold for him. But luckily I found 3 baby birds yesterday (2017 July 1st) and their nest was on the ground. I stayed there for 20 minutes and don't see their parents then after 3 hours when I went back I still didn't see their parents so I took them home. I feed them worms and want to put a heater beside them for the night because I think it’s pretty cold and the next day the biggest one died. So I quickly took the heater and put it beside them and then they seem to be fine, the baby birds were much smaller than the one I had before so I tried to feed them with worms and I had a hard time of letting them actually swallow the worms. Then I decided to follow what you're doing and it's much easier for me to feed them. Thank you!
Oh no.... I'm sorry to hear the bad news... :(((( It's okay to feed them a lot. They won't open their mouth if they think they ate enough food they need, so you will know when to stop feed them! They still can eat at night. I fed my bird till 1am and then let her sleep for the rest of night. And yeah, they need to be in a super warm place, a little hot for human.. My hamsters had to suffer because of the heat in my room for a while lol. If you are feeding worms, I think you might need to smash them into small pieces (I wasn't brave enough to do it, so I didn't feed the bird with worm lol). You might need to feed them for over a month. Put fresh bird food, or tiny seeds, next to them all the time so they learn how to eat on their own. They will eventually refuse to be fed once they think they are adult lol. Thank you so much for taking care of little baby birds!! ♥♥♥♥♥
Do you put the egg yolk into it
Yes! Egg yolk is one of the ingredients I added 🙂
@@SAKSOON thank you
Hey there i found a sparrow fedgling that is injured by a crow and i dont have cat food so what should i feed it to help it survive please help me out🥺🥺
Do you have any dog food? If you don't have any pet food, egg yolk is the best for a couple meals as emergency food. It doesn't have enough nutrients, so it's not good for the baby for a long term. Could you get a small bag of kitten food asap? Mixing with apple sauce would give extra vitamins. Bird sanctuary won't take sparrows, so it's all up to you! Ask me anything if you have any other questions! 💖 Thank you for saving this little friend 😇💕

Plz answer as fast as possible

Sure! If you don't have cat food, you can feed them the egg yolk for now. But it should be the temporary food because it doesn't have enough nutrition that the baby bird needs.
Thank you so much for your reply SAK-SOON!! And also, is it okay if I use the raw egg yolk and mix it with the cat food? Or is it not good to do that?
No problem at all! 😃😃😃. And that's a good question! I used to mix the cooked egg yolk and the cat food. I'm not sure if the raw egg yolk is okay or not. Since we don't know the answer, let's boil the egg lol. When I fed Chili, I also added the unsweetened apple sauce for extra vitamins. It's just an option!

@@coffeecrisps6354 breeders can let ppl adopt 2week old baby birds!? Hmm idk about bird breeders but that sounds irresponsible lol. Im sure you are gonna be a great mom though 😆💖
Is it ok if I only use only dog or cat food and yolk?
Yes, it's not the best but still works fine!
@@SAKSOON thank you so much
Do baby powder suitable for them and how should i know how old is the baby bird
I don't really recommend baby powder. It doesn't have much protein that baby birds need. Kitten food is the best. Dog food and regular cat food (canned cat food also works) can be temporary emergency food.
Determine Age
Hatchling (usually 0-3 days old). It hasn't yet opened its eyes, and may have wisps of down on its body. ...
Nestling (usually 3-13 days old). Its eyes are open, and its wing feathers may look like tubes because they've yet to break through their protective sheaths. ...
Fledgling (13-14 days old or older).
I hope this helps 🙂🙂🙂💕
Thanks for the advice, but sadly the baby bird left me at the middle of the night 😢😢
@@annienatashah2273 oh no.. I hope the baby bird is okay 😟
The bird die last night. I dun really know what happen, but there is fluid in its nose and the baby birds very hard to breath. I try to keep ig warm. But atlast the baby bird cant survive 😔😔😭😭😢😢
@@annienatashah2273 ohhhh...! Maybe something went wrong with her respiratory system when it fell down from the nest 😢 You didn't give her water, right? Water is very deadly for baby birds because they can't drink and it goes straight down to the lungs.
I'm so sorry to hear what happened 😔😔😔
I rescued a baby bird and can't find its mother.so I decided to feed it.
1st I feed him grass hoppers and crickets for 2 days and then I came to know that I can't feed it insects for all day so I started to make some food myself I used dog food instead of cat food
Is there a problem?
I heard cat food, especially kitty food, contains a lot more protein that birds need to consume. I add boiled egg yolk for extra protein and unsweetened apple sauce for vitamin. This way the baby bird will get enough nutrients! Btw, thank you so much for saving the little guy's life 😊💕
@@SAKSOON what about dog food?
@@Karthik-wm6us dog food works just fine as well :)
@@SAKSOON can I feed grasshoppers also?
@@Karthik-wm6us you can try it. They can eat anything that's high in protein. Make it into small pieces so they can swallow easily
will this work for any bird
I believe so!
@@SAKSOON thanks
Will it be okay if it doesn’t have egg yolk?
You don't have to! But it gives a lot more protein, so it's always better to add. But it's not necessary 🙂
SAK- SOON also A blue jay fledgling I found has a bold bump on his neck is something wrong with him?!
@@katelynhicks332 I believe it's the food pouch thing! It's like stomach. Chili had visible one, so when she ate food, I could see the food going inside lol. Hopefully it's that.
Does it also work with parrots?
Yup! It works on most of the baby birds 😊

I found a baby bird yesterday
Is it ok with apple juice??
Apple juice contains too much sugar. It's gonna cause some health issue which will lead the bird to death 😰😰😰
oh ok. Thank God I asked first.
So, I found little sparrow yesterday. I think he is maybe few weeks old. But he doesn't want to open his mouth for eating, only when I m giving him water. Is it ok to open his mouth by my hand? I m giving him egg yellow for now only. and can I give him little lobworms? I m so new in this so thanks on replay
nonononnononono Dont give him water. Baby bird's throat is somehow connected to the breathing system, so there's high chance that the water might go into the lung. The best way to make food without cat food (I still recommend cat food) is mixing the egg yolk with water and making it into some gooey creamy solution. This way the bird won't get dehydrated since he must not drink water itself. I suggest you to get a cheap eyedropper from Walmart and just stick it into his mouth. The bird doesn't know how to eat from the eyedropper at the first place, so he won't open his mouth. Press each side of his beak with your fingertips gently and he will open his mouth. You have to force it no matter what. He will eventually get used to it and automatically opens his mouth when the eyedropper approaches to him. Make sure he gets fed fully every hour or two. Baby birds can't eat worms until they are old enough to eat on their own. Thank you for taking care of the baby bird! 😇😇😇😇
Thank you on your great answers. I m from Europe so we dont have walmarts, but I will search it at drug store. Hope hes going to be fine.
Can I send you picture of him? I hope he looks fine. 😊
I have chickens so I have chicken food, can I use. Chicken food instead of cat food?
Baby birds need to consum A LOT of protein. The reason why we feed baby bird with the cat food is because that the cat food contains A LOT of protein that a baby bird require to survive. I don't know about chicken food, but I doubt that chicken food has enough protein... Oh, and cat food also contains all the nutrition that baby birds need beside protein.
SAK- SOON thx😉
No problem!! 😃😃😃
SAK- SOON does it matter which kind of cat food it is ? Like young cats adult cat or ?!?
Does this work for canned cat food of chicken
Canned food isn't the best choice but it still works! 🙂
SAK- SOON thank you
@@josephcano1087 you're welcome 😃
SAK- SOON one more question how do i clean my bird it is a sparrow nestling but he spills food many times and it gets on him
@@josephcano1087 just slightly wet the paper towel with warm water and gently rub the dirty spots. And make sure to try completely with dry paper towel 🙂🙂🙂
I got dog chow is that ok?
Or it’s real name puppy chow
Yes, it would work 🙂
@@SAKSOON I’m hoping
It takes a while for the chow to become soft yes?
@@someooga Yes, it needs to be soaked in water for a while. I used warm water so it becomes soft a little faster.
is it ok to use wet cat food and not use apple sauce?
Yes, definitely! Apple sauce gives extra vitamin, but just cat food would be fine 🙂
Is the apple sauce necessary
It's not necessary, but it gives enough vitamins for baby birds to grow up stronger. 🙂
@@SAKSOON I have a pretty big garden and a lot of baby birds fall out of our date tree. Unfortunately, the tree is too high to return the birds back to the nest and there is no rescue or rehabilitation centre in my area or anywhere really,so we usually have to end up trying to feed them ourselves or put them in a basket and hang it on a branch of the tree. And not all of our "rescue's" survive so, I was wondering if I could ask you that if a bird with no feathers arrives in my home. What should I do? If I should try to take care of it there's another question. Can the naked bird get too hot if I put it under a lamp? What temperature will be OK for it?
And another thing...do you make the apple sauce yourself?if so,how? TwT
@@viiolllet3072 You are a nice person!!! Thank you for saving those little birdies 💕. I don't make applesauce lol. I just went to the grocery store and bought the smallest portion of unsweetened applesauce.
Bird rescue places don't really take care of baby birds if they are not national bird, especially if they are injured. So it's better to take care of them on your own.
If the baby bird don't have feather, there's high chance that mommy bird will just abandon it. If you are planning to return them to wild, make sure you never talk to them or touch them with hands. Interacting with them will make them imprinted with humans and it will give them a low chance to survive on their own. When you release them, make sure there's no predator such as hawks and crows.
@@SAKSOON thank you so so much for all this advice. This is a very big problem in my home and baby birds end up with us EVERY MONTH.
