I love that UA-cam now interrupts songs and videos at non breakpoints. Just a great use of technology to completely ignore the break points for the songs the poster took the time to list. /s
This may be their greatest tour. Longest shows, most varied set lists, not to mention the rarities from Yoshimi like Approaching Pavonis Mons, It's Summertime, Yoshimi Pt. II, One More Robot, plus all the brilliant stuff in the encores. Really excited for what's next from these guys. Chels and i have seen them 9x together.
Just saw them outdoors for the third time in fifteen years in a small venue in B'ham AL. They are as good as ever which is very good indeed! The sound was the best I've ever heard in all of my almost five decades of attending live shows. Wayne and Steven are amazing as is the whole lineup. I'm still smiling four days later!
Just took a peek at the 1st song, seeing them do this in July and I'm absolutely stoked. Only the 2nd time seeing them live, but the last time was 20 years ago. Time effing flies.
Amazing setlist glad to see they seem to be sticking to their best stuff for at least this live performance. They went off track a bit in 2013-14 and probably realized the live shows at that point were losing them fans.
No Emrbyonic?- Silver Trembling Hands Orr Older Catalog besides: Jelly n Superman..still fun..liked but now tired again of Yoshimi..happy bday to it sure..still a fun show. Saw em with Pavement
As a concert attendee or viewer, I find it annoying when the performers keep asking the audience to scream or cheer. It's your job to entertain us and get us pumped up, not the other way around.
Flaming lips is one of my all time favorite bands. I’ve probably seen them 10 times now. I’ve driven from Houston to Oklahoma to seem their “ufo’s at the zoo” show. I followed them to Dallas the next night and saw them their. I flew to Oklahoma during covid to see one of their “bubble” shows. I’ve seen them several times in Houston. I only say all that to make it clear how much I love this band. With all that being said, I agree with you. Wayne does that way too much and it feels tacky.
Oh, boo hoo. Just be glad Wayne has tolerance for asshole concertgoers. If you can't stand it. STAY HOME AND CRY TO YOURSELF. Glad I won't be sitting next to your whiny butt when they stop in Wilmington, NC.
I've seen the Flaming lips a dozen times. I hope to see them a dozen times more.

Seeing the Flaming Lips was overwhelming. A bombardment, a glorious bombardment, of the senses. Wonderful, life-affirming stuff.

That is the point of a show like this to celebrate the release of the album.

They do it in on purpose to annoy you specifically. We’re all in on it.
@@Astromancy2112it’s working! The plan is working!
