I do kinda love how you have the choice of high polyphony or complex sounds (though if you use 4-op sounds, you're not reducing polyphony by that much aha)
its kinda jarring that this cover sounds better than most 80s and 90s dos games using the OPL3 (they just had to go with midi implementations back in the day)
@@autumnbrushtail With ATII, i'm assuming you mean Adlib Tracker right? Well, i've heard some good tunes with that tracker, but when i tried using that tracker just to play some tunes... Let's just say i'm really not accustomed with command line based user interfaces. (Furnace is a cakewalk to navigate and use in that regard, so i guess. Better UI = Easier music production)
@@LondenTower there is absolutely good stuff made with AdLib Tracker, but idk why, the way folks make instruments in it never sound quite as nice to me. Furnace ends up with almost OPN-like instruments, even if the additional waveforms are used, but then ATII seems to be a lot more... Scratchy by comparison. And yeah, ATII is just a pain to use unless you already know how DOS based trackers work I guess?
@@LondenTower I've had some of my music played back on real hardware, which is nice. I'd still argue that OPL3 music is chiptune too. And I've even made some single cycle waveform style music with OPL3 too
This is so damn cool
Nice OPL3 cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌
Love seeing Rivals covers, and this is some sick use of the OPL3!
i agree its awesome
this is incredible! that's the true OPL3 power!

That's incredibly ear-gasmic, mate!
Nothing short of sick
I am not familiar with the original song, but I couldn't browse away without commenting... this is awesome!
HELL YEAH
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I LOVE IT

Proper use of OPL3 is always a good thing to hear. Weirdly enough, you often don't get stuff this good with ATII a lot of the time and I don't get it
