Glad to see you didn’t replace the rockers with tube and added them on. That’s what I would do personally but I don’t have a minty condition chief! Looks great 👍
I'm with you on not cutting out the rockers. Bumble Jeep has a flawless body from the floor up and I won't cut it. I plan on similar sliders, but I think Mine will be bolt on so I can remove for fender bolt access. I plan on using nutserts instead of self tappers. I've never had good luck with self tappers. I feel they don't provide enough strength for something like rock sliders. Always enjoy your content. Keep it coming. And if you're ever wheeling in the Hamburg Pa. area, let me know. Would enjoy an adventure in the Bumble Jeep. God bless and stay well.
Thanks for the info. I agree with you. Cutting into good rockers would have been bad! Thanks for the kind words and for sticking with the channel. Much appreciate!!!!! Keep on jeepin!!
I’ve been researching this subject for a while and as my Jeep is completely rust free, I’m not too keen on cutting the sills out either. Besides, it looks like a heck of a lot of work! I like your idea a lot better. I’m gonna do it your way. I also want to add some 40mm round tube rails for sidesteps and buy mounting the sliders under the sills, it gives a little more room to be able to angle them up slightly and still be able to open the doors :)
Glad I could help...yeah..the idea of cutting rockers just didn't appeal to me as it changes the look that I like with the rockers..These rock rails have done their job and have held up to some good solid hits and saved the rockers from being dragged all over the rocks..Good luck with your project.
Nice job Joe.Built not bought...👊💪👍👍
Thanks man!! These were fun to build!!!!
