XJ Build Series - Rock Sliders - Better than 2x6! Stronger & Higher Clearance!

- We are thinking outside the box - Literally! Using a 2x6 tube to build a rock slider is a great idea, but we knew we could build something better! Our XJ structural rock slider kit ties into the strongest parts of the unibody building off of the existing structure that is already there and making it even better. Also, our kit makes it easy, no trip to the steel yard, no big heavy beam, PLUS the whole kit is easy and affordable to ship right to your door!

Almost makes me regret not going with an XJ. I love the thought and detail that has gone into engineering those. I'm very eager to see what you guys come up with for the WJs!

Great design! I was wondering if it would be beneficial to make them longer so buyers can trim the ends to their own specs based on each vehicles fender trim?
@milesneimeyer7584 That is a great idea, and one of our first thoughts also. We stopped the sliders where we did because that puts them right at the edge of the OEM fender flares so you don't have to cut them. Also, that is the typical spot where most XJ owners are trimming their fenders. It makes the sliders a win-win for both scenarios.

can i still mount the frame stiffners with this and tie a roll cage into it?
@TheBackpackingSailor Yes. We installed frame stiffeners right after doing these rock sliders. Yes, you can, and you should tie a roll cage into the sliders and the frame stiffeners. Both of these products would make a firm foundation to build your cage off of.

Do you weld the gussets to the lower skin? Or only weld the gussets to the top shell?

Will you make this for a 2 door xj?
@AB714AA This should work on a 2 door no problem. For reference, the sliders are about 62.5" long on the flat (horizontal) part under the door opening.

Any chance you will be selling just the front part? So the MJ could possibly use this.
@mjguy I would recommend getting the full length. That way you can protect under your bed side as well. For reference, the front section is about 34.5" long on the flat (horizontal) part under the door opening.
@mjguy I just checked our project XJ. You would need the whole length. The seam for the front part is under the front door.
