Just a word of advice. Don't do the lease, stay company, work and save for your own truck if you want one if you wanna still work with prime/ Wilson you can open your authority and work over on there power only side.
I'm giving you advice I wish I had when I started. I wasted 4 years of my life paying triple for a truck than what going directly to the dealer would have charged me for a truck. My cost of operation is 2590 a months instead of 5600 a month which it will be if you lease at Wilson. Please listen to this advice and you will be eons ahead of all the drivers leasing and paying for a truck there never gonna own.
I'm not understanding what you're saying. Are you saying save up to buy your own personal truck instead of leasing?
What is the power only side?
@FREE MY GRANDMA!!🚔 Power only means you provide the tractor and the Carrier provides the trailer. You can actually open your own authority and submit Carrier packets to all the major carriers and have free Pick over there loads without restriction.

I’m 20 and have my CDL permit and DOT card already, would I be able to go into training with them as soon as I turn 21? It’s my dream to become a trucker and I really hope that I’m able to train with Wilson or Prime.

I was thinking about getting my CDL but for the pay, I might not do it. I heard that new drivers don't get long enough runs and that effects pay. Smh don't know what to do now

No. I talked to Dave at Wilson and he told me to get my permit and then call him back once I got it.

Did you have your permit before you got your start date?
I'm in Washington State. I'll probably do my training in Montana.
@@jeannette1111 I believe once I got my permit they then gave me a start date. They location in Montana is closed now. You’ll be at the Missouri location. It’s nice. I’m putting out my review on wilson cdl school shortly. Make sure you watch it.

when you go on the pad, whats the ratio of trainers to students?

I smoked marijuana in a state where it was legal. I quit and it’s been 2 months now and I know I’m clean as far as piss and mouth swab. Is it piss test or hair follicle?
Do they accept recent felons I just got my cdl permit today but could you please tell me their requirements

There is a lot of students not a lot of trainers u get a lot of pad time but not a lot of truck time sucks

I'm from Chicago I live in Dayton now I have never got a moving violation or ticket in my life It will be a blessing to attend school at Wilson .

Wilson is great. You’ll really like it. Took me 3 weeks to get my cdl. I just started my over the road training yesterday. If there’s anything I can do for you let me know.

They start paying you after you get your CDL and pass the test. They also give the option of borrowing up to 200 a week but you must pay that back and that's before you get your CDL
