I just found some at Lowe’s for $13. They were in one of those urban jungle collection pots. They weren’t in the best of conditions but I grabbed the better looking one. I couldn’t pass it up, they are so so pretty
Yeah I saw one at Lowe’s too but had to pass it up because the poor thing looked haggard. I hope I find a nice one one day. They really are stunning. 😬
I just got a Philodendron brandy yesterday! Was looking for some care tips and came across your video. In summer 2021 I found a brandy at a nursery and it was very small 4 inch and it was $70!!!!! I wanted it so bad but was not going to spend that much money on it. Well yesterday I went back to the same nursery and found it for $18.99 ! So obviously I picked it up and so happy I did! Very happy I didn't get it last year haha loved this video thanks for posting 🥰💕💕💚💚💚
Yes when I like a plant a lot I buy multiples over last few months I got 4Na Nuk it’s one of my favorites love the colors thanks for the heads up on the philo b I really like it but thanks to you I know what to look for thank you
Be patient and I'm sure local growers will start carrying them. Hopefully I sort out how to propagate it and then I'll have some available in my shop for a normal price soon 😊💕
Hi Jaclynn, thanks for the video and the useful info. I just got my Brandi a few weeks ago and I love her. Her leaves are glorious. I live in the Northeast and got my 4" pot for $20. I repotted her recently and found one leaf was just a cutting, no roots even! I pulled that leaf aside to root in water. I guess I should count myself lucky that it was just one leaf and not the whole plant that was like this. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. I'm sending you positive vibes that things improve, but understand if you need to take a break from posting on your channel. It takes work, but your fans are here and will wait patiently. Take care and rest up.
Hi Sandra!! Thank you for your kind words and your positivity, I really appreciate it! You definitely got yourself a great deal!! I hope the stem roots for you. I'm trying to restart my original one by slapping it in the face with humidity every day 🤣
Omg! That Brandi is sooooo gorgeous! I’m waiting my turn to get one because the starter plant itself is already to begin with online. Thank you for the advice. Hope you feel better.
Just scored a rehab Brandi at Lowe's for $7 so excited🤗🌿💚. I immediately referred back to you to make sure it was the Brandi that I liked from your video, she's so pretty!😘🌿🙏👍
❤️💛💚💜💙 & 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 to go with them! 😊 After waiting & looking for many years , I finally spotted & found the Brandy today! Nope I never got one! ☹️ I got two!!! 🤣 You are not alone! lol Wonderful video & Thx for the care tips!
I love them! I wish they were less annoying to grow. My best tip would be high humidity and get it climbing asap! It grows scraggly without something to climb and leaves get stuck without enough humidity 🙃
Such a pretty plant. I just saw one Sunday at a local nursery for 40 bucks and I wanted to get it so bad but I just couldn’t see my self spending that much and it might die….however, I have not stopped thinking about that damn plant since🙄💰I feel a 40 dollar holla slowly approaching.
I'm glad it helped, sometimes we can feel like bad plant parents when it's not even our fault or nothings wrong! I was fascinated to learn that can happen, and since taking my Micans out of the greenhouse the new growth doesn't have it. The humidity was too much I guess, but it doesn't hurt the plant, just don't like the look lol.
Hey girl, been in a funk lately too but we got this 💓. Also, all my water props die as well lol, I've only been successful with leca tho 🤔. I'll be holding out on the bradi for now, in ga so prices are high here.
I got you girl!! I literally always buy plants for what I think is a decent price and then find them like a week later for less 🤦🏻♀️ Part of life. I figure I find so many good deals elsewhere that it evens out 🤣🤣
Love you more hehe. Hey girl yes on multiples, if one is cool 2 or 3 or........ is better. I was on the fence with this one as I've heard others bash it lol but seeing yours and hearing you talk about them I gotta have one and thx for price tips cuz the ones I've seen no bueno. Have a fantestical 😅 weekend beauty xo
Thank you love! You're honestly amazing! Your comments always make me smile! And definitely grab one if you like the leaves and can find a good one for a decent price! With the right conditions they grow really easily and are so beautiful!
I have one that I’m about to choppy-chop ✂️. She just needs a restart. Her leaves are just little babies. I have definitely bought multiples of a particular. I ended up finding mine at a Lowes or HD.
Weird about your plant dying so quickly especially in water. I’ve had my Brandhi for a short amount of time, maybe 5 months. I’ve made several cuttings already and that thing roots super quick for me in water. I have a large hand full of cuttings still in water and the roots have to be 6”, maybe more on some of the cuttings. My goal is to get it to grow up a miss pole. I’m looking forward to that ☺️ Great video!
I think I didn't have it in a bright enough spot to be honest. I had way too many in one place probably not getting enough sun bc usually my Philo root super fast! 🙃
I just bought one on line for almost $45. What I was sent is not even half of the pictures on the listing and when I was putting on more soil, I noticed it’s cuttings that are not well established. It’s beautiful but I feel a little taken advantage of. That was my first online plant purchase so I’m hoping it’s not the norm. It is such a beautiful plant though and it’s not easy to pass :)
Definitely have to ask those question when you buy online. I had the same thing happen to me when I bought my first one from a nursery. Went to repot it and it was just some barely rooted cuttings. People suck!! They're so inexpensive now at least, I just don't even bother w that plant anymore.
@@jaclynns.jungle the seller messaged today and refunded a portion of the price, which I feel is fair. I ordered some other plants online and received them this morning from a different seller. They are gorgeous!! And exactly as advertised so I hope that it was a fluke issue! Have a great day!!
I wanna love that plant. It’s beautiful but ... it’s not for me. We should definitely talk about (killing) ficus. Also, you should definitely NOT stop being weird. It’s a good weird... Corn muffin. 😜💜
They are beautiful plants but here it's so expensive 1-2 leaves for £45. I'll just wait to see a established one like you said because it will have more chances of surviving. Thanks for sharing your plant experience
When I watered mine, the day after I noticed that some of the leaves turned translucent. What do you mean by this? I let it dry out completely before watering and I also checked the roots, the roots are okay.
That happens to mine sometimes too but the leaves usually fall off. They're usually the older leaves. If it's still healthy I wouldn't stress it. How long have you had the plant? When I got mine it definitely took some acclimating. If the roots are happy and there's new growth points I wouldn't worry. Sometimes the leaf just holds onto the moisture. If you wanna send me a DM with pictures I'm happy to help figure it out even further 😊
@@jaclynns.jungle awwww youre so nice! i think you are right about the leaf holding onto the moisture. It happened the day after I watered it plus the high humidity I have in my house. Thank you so much for responding, thats very caring of you.❤️🙏🏻 New subscriber here🥳
"you know what I mean?" Extrafloral nectaries and/or guttation??? The first are 'sugar' drops, on the stems and petioles, the latter is shedding the excess of water through its leaves. They're normal for these plants, but the first attracts bugs, the second one is due to overwatering.
Yes! The second one you mentioned is what I'm speaking of here. The extra humidity seemed to be causing it, they're fine now out of the greenhouse 😊 Thanks for the proper terms!
@@jaclynns.jungle yes! Humidity can cause this as well. Each plant likes different things, figuring out what each one likes is key 😊Good luck with your lovely plants! 🍀👍

@@jaclynns.jungle LOL, I would not delete but if you can update it some how, that would be helpful.
