Ha - the outtakes are a little embarrassing 🤦🏻♀️ Consistently setting traps while there is an issue is what I've done for rodents. They are a nuisance for sure. I have a dog and he catches some too. These are the traps I use: amzn.to/4gzBWj8
How lovely! I grew some from seed in the Pacific Northwest, seattle. We hardly had a handful of warm days this year :( these were painfully slowwwwww to grow
Forgot to mention, I love your water features. I had the impression that there was no water there and growing population meant even less water to go around.
I should have included this 🤦🏽♀️ but it’s easy to do- leave blooms on the plant until they dry - cut them off - you should be able to crumble the bloom and see the seeds
I planted these in the spring and they were so beautiful 🥹 sadly my dog laid in right on top of them and broke numerous branches. Will they come back in spring or will it die?
I grew these from seed in a hot humid 9b. They took a while to get established, but I got lots of blooms untilni got spots all over the leaves which eventually killed them. Any idea what took them out?
I bought some for the first time last week! Want more!!! I didn't know about the difference between the two! So much information!!!
I planted this for the first time this year and it was amazing! Did well the whole summer and I'm only now pulling it to make way for fall annuals.
You got this! ❤
I saw bumblebees on your flowers 💛 🐝 🖤!! I’ve never seen a bumblebee in Arizona.
Just realized you have outtakes at the end of the video 😂😂
I bought a couple of plants earlier this year as I read it's great as a detoxing tea and I also like providing for pollinators all year.
Thanks for keeping it real so many flowers so little time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the video. I just bought some gomphrena seeds. A good addition to the garden. Thanks for leaving in the bloopers. Made me giggle. 😊
Love the outtakes, love the way you share information. You have this down! Now please tell me how to cope with rodents in the garden?

Pretty flower arrangements 💐
They last all summer and into November in our zone 9B Texas. They also have a long vase life of up to 2 weeks.
Really an amazing flower.

Do you know if they will self seed?
Good question. I haven't had them self- seed, but you can certainly save seeds.
Great video. I would love to know how to save the seeds from this flower.

Would you describe your climate for me, please? I live in zone 7 in Virginia, and I was surprised when you mentioned frost.
Desert climate - hot summers and mostly mild winters with occasional frost - Zone 9b/10a

It's a pretty tough plant. I'm guessing it will come back if you don't freeze too much.
Which varieties are an annual? Just subscribed!
Most types (if not all) can be grown as annuals
💚👍

Sounds like a fungus - we don't have as much humidity here.
Thanks for getting back to me! That's what I was thinking. Between fungus and catepillars eating EVERYTHING, it's been a rough year.
I wish I can sow the seeds directly outside
It's more reliable indoors but not impossible outside.
@@GrowingInTheGarden thx
Are you not on Instagram anymore?
Back on. Account was down for a while. Thanks for checking.
Do the squirrels and jack rabbits eat them?
Oh, good question. I'm not sure. I don't have those pests. Hopefully someone else can answer that for you.
I read it has medicinal properties brewed into tea
