Why a 2001 Cobra over the Terminator? I've seen people usually say the 2003/04 Cobras are the most desirable of the New Edge Cobras so you saying you'd want a 2001 is an interesting contrast
@@Justin_GFM Honestly it’s just because of the price difference. I’m not willing to pay that extra $15k+ for a Terminator when you can basically get into the S550 platform for the same price. 99/01 Cobras still have the 4v although 99s were underpowered I believe then of course the 03/04 Mach 1s also have the 4v.

It’s definitely worth it. A 2014 Dodge charger rt (I know it’s a boat) has a 0-60 time of 5.4 ish and I know the new edge is around 5.8. That’s over a 10yr gap… needless to say, a bolt on and tuned new edge can still hold it’s own today. With the weight advantage, a bolt on new edge could probably take down a scat pack for half the price
GT ain't worth it. Either get the V6,or go to at least the Mach 1. GT is too much of a baby step. It's barely faster than the V6 and you will only notice it after 80, which most people don't like going over for some reason. Ford messed up the SN95 GT, save your money and get an 05 +GT if you don't want a V6 and can't afford the Mach 1. Edit : autocorrect
After having both an 03 V6 and my current 03 GT, I would NEVER go back to a V6. GT to me is worth it, I’ve also had a 14 5.0 that unfortunately got totaled in an accident. If you have the budget for a Mach 1 or Termi I would suggest those or a 5.0. If on a strict budget i’d pass on the V6 and go for the GT imho.
@@bap7929 I also have had both. Rose colored glasses powered by the noise. I too made the mistake of thinking it was way faster because it made so much more noise. Than you actually start comparing actual speed...

First time I see your videos so thought you were serious in the beginning 😡 I have 2 of them lol good video my daughter drove it from 10th grade 2014-college 2022 and no problems and still going now my other daughter is talking it to high school
😂😂😂 gotta mess with people a little, but yes hope your daughters get to enjoy the car for many years to come!
I love mine completely stock. Don't need super fast , it's good for me.
Love it!
Just bought a 01 Bullitt, full suspension ugrades, full exhaust upgrades( sounds aggressive asf), 140k miles, came with shelby 19in wheels, brand new headlights, clean tint, new wheel bearings, rotors, brakes, new tires all around, highland green paint clear coat is starting to fade,.. for 8200, did i get ripped off?
Yes!!!! 100% yes I love my 2002 gt I wouldn't want anything else it's my all time favorite car that iv had all my life of driving.
I bought my 2001 v6 mustang for 4150 dollars back in 2014. I drive it everyday. It has paid for itself.😊
I have an 1999 gt 35th edition and 2006 GT , just a joy to drive
Which would you pick if you could only have one?
@@cobracarlos very hard to say , if for comfort 1999 and for handling 2006 since it lowered
Absolutely the best bang for the buck car for fun.
It’s definitely hard to beat
I sold my 03 terminator for 14k last year low key regret it , but for that money I can buy 3 gt’s or a newer mustang, the termi was srt8 piped and hella loud so a cop magnet here in Chicago. Couldn’t afford too keep it
Yes they were 6-9 several years back, now 15
Found a metallic red 02 gt convertible with black intake and spoiler, nice wheels and good tires clean title passed inspection and emission 160k miles for $6.4k. Guy taped over the check engine light tho and I don’t mess with that
I've got a 1 owner, clean Carfax 92k mile 2000 Mustang GT Convertible in immaculate condition I'm going to be selling for $9500. It's a lot of car for the money!!!
I like your video on the mustang I own 2000 saleen with 62000 miles, I think the value is going up because they are reliable, this is Rick from sf calif
Thanks for watching, definitely super reliable cars
What size are your back tires and back rims?
I just bought one last week as my first car last week for 3k this car is definitely worth it
Awesome! What mods are you planning for it?
@@cobracarlos I’m not to sure because I’m still in highschool so I don’t wanna spend to much on it right now but eventually engine swap it I just haven’t decided
If you can find one a fourth gen f-body LS1 6-speed is definitely more fun
I want a Foxbody so bad but with my budget I can only afford beat up project ones, new edge it is lol
Yea foxbody prices have shot up, will probably happen to new edges soon too though!
My 01 Bullitt is a car I will probably keep forever.
That’s awesome! What color is yours? I love the green color
Yup
@@cobracarlos good ole dark highland green
Bro I’m about to buy my second mustang and it’s goin to be a v8 stick I’m getting it for 800 bucks I couldn’t pass that up after I totaled my first one I fell in love with mustang man
You for got to mention the values of the 2001 Mustang Bullitt?
I miss mine 2000 gt same as yours cobra wheels cobra fender flares auto convertible triple black ine.wqs.auto with shift kit 270 geared out back.got myslelf.in.some bs.ended up losing car sucks but yea I agree with you all the.way I would bust.my ass.to have.another one.with same set up
Ive owned 2 and i feel like theyre only good cars if theyre manual and modded. Sadly finding a manual vert is almost impossible and even the coupes cost a ton
I have an 02 gt not the fastest in todays standards but fun and cheap to maintain strong motor
Just got a 2004 gt 40th anniversary one, in mint condition
Cobra 🐍 Carlos back with another banger video 👌🏾💯🔥
🔥🔥🔥 thanks for watching, I appreciate the support!
I still hate those interiors in 2022...
Guides, chains and upgrade those plastic tensioners.
just picked up an 01 SVT cobra convertible 150k miles best 4 grand I ever spent
How the hell you find one for 4k? Lol I’m in Cali and they are nowhere near that price
@@juanmontanez1874 mine got at 5.4 32v motor and borla exhaust short throw shifter stage 2 clutch. Driver side window doesn’t roll down. Needs an alignment a new convertible top and some more love but it’s running and gunning
It’s 2023, and I just bought my ‘02 V6.
Should of sprung for the v8
So many people sleep on this mustang. Just like the foxes, stock wont suprise you. But put 15k into it and youll be suprise what that 2v can do 🔥🔥🔥
I got my first mustang a couple months ago white mustang gt 2000 with 106 miles running and driving in great condition for $1k
Thats a steal! Enjoy it!
Got my 2003 premium gt 2 years ago with 118,00 for $2900 , big steal
That’s awesome! There’s definitely a lot to choose from out there
I have a yellow 2001 New Edge love it
Bro I was bout to get mad at this video when you called it a piece of junk
😂😂😂
Does the GT come with the 4- valve per cylinder,?
No just the cobra comes with the 4v.. any other trim level mustang 99-04 comes with the 2v
Are there companies out there that would help finance one of these? I mean not everyone has 8-20k in cash laying around for a gt, Mach 1, or a cobra
Answer: yes. Cheap, rwd with enough power to have fun and slide around while also being dead reliable with those mod motors, probably the only issue would be finding one that’s not beat to hell.
Bought a really clean silver 99 mustang gt completely stock and in showroom condition for 9k. It had 60k miles on it
Thats a good deal
@@Stayhungry-StayHumble1997 yeah I love it
I want Cobra,Mach 1 large engine
What wheels are those?
Love my 01 Bullitt
I really love this car and I’m looking forward to buying one. But I’m really worried about how the gt is on gas mileage since I live in California
Thanks for watching! Depends how much you are driving, I made a video on how much gas mileage I get on mine ua-cam.com/video/7oOMcEbaiRs/v-deo.html
You don't learn to drive stick on a long drive, you learn it in the city traffic
Bro just get u one throw a gen 3 5.0 nd u will be ok i have a v6 motor in right now beating v8
Definitely! Plus it’s way more fun to drive than a charger 😂
When chargers 300c's magnums and challengers R/T's came out with that hemi 5.7 I was gapping them way back then in my 02 GT
I can think of 10 cars more fun then a new edge for under $8,000. Including a corolla
A corolla ? 😂
@@jamesdawson6424 you ever heard of an ae86 or an xrs?
Coyote swapped new edge is beast
Funny that you said Toyota Corolla because I have a Toyota Corolla and a 99 Mustang GT fun car
Ngl i thought he was about to shit all over it 😭
id say a foxbody is more fun than a new edge and under 8k.
We have the same cars lol i have a 2000 mustang and a 2015 f150
Is it going to je worth it in 2026
Probably even more!
It a good car. The only thing I don't like about it is the interior. It's garbage.
2001 manifolds aren't very good
4.6 2v and amazing do not belong in the same sentence
How come?
@@DarkEditsAndPlays they are reliable and sound great. Just not fast for modern day standards.
@@lukescholey5872 yessir, I have an 04 fast is no where near 😂
I know mines has seen 140 mph. I'm not a drag racer but it has speed.
Never get one , I’ve only had mine since 05 . Sell it to me , don’t be a loser , lol. Seriously they are great cars.
anyone say it’s not can go…
Why are you saying it’s worth it but the thumbnail says it’s not, also I just got a red v6 2000 for my first car abt 5 days ago
It's a turd, hard to work on, and costs a mint for parts but it hauls ass for the price
@@silversonic99 You can do more with the GT in terms of modifications and power - it is a better platform to build on and have fun.
@@27Zangle modifications? No. Power, sure. But again, for the money you're spending at that point you'd be better off just doing a full swap anyway or just starting off with the waaaaay better Mach 1. GT is just too much of a baby step up to waste money on, either go all in or don't cap.
@@silversonic99 I think it would be fun to swap in a 3.5 Ecoboost or whatever size they are now (3.7?).
Clickbait
I bought my Stang in Dec of 21 too
@SaleenSally #629 I love my 2000 and believe it could fetch 30k in a decade. Currently at 40k miles.
