Hi buddy.amazing video.. This bike fits the bill for a winter commute/Training bike for 60% road riding (bike packing) and 40% off road..Just wanted to know if the gearing is fast enough for road riding?..I have seen this bike with shamal wheelset .hope that would bring the weight down to 8.5kgs.
Hey John - depends what speeds you are after on the road. You have the option of building with the various gear ratios they offer so I would suggest thinking about that carefully buddy 👍
Hi Rosandro - a 1x is great option for on and off road. The Ekar has lots of options for the size of your front ring. This will depend on your terrain range that you spend more time on or what you really want to do with bike. I found the Ekar levers super slick (even through heavy gloves) I do like the SRAM 1x as well but only tested on the road - the 44 ring gave me loads of climbing and speed options - especially in the 44x10. If you are having fitted to an existing bike then make sure you use expert mechanics and your frame has clearance etc for gravel groupset 👍👍👍

Hello Scott
I was thinking about a 1x set for my do-it-all bike and was considering the Ekar. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks

That looked like fun 🚴♂️🙂
Where did you get those huge glasses Scott?
It was great Clive. 👍👍👍 It’s a visor - Giro Vanquish - it’s magnetic so just clicks into place. Very good 👍
