Been running the Ekar group for almost 2 years now and find it flawless. Have had zero issues with it and love the ergonomics. Thanks for the review and recap.
Thanks for the recap. I did the 52 mile course on a hard tail mtb. That course kicked my butt. The climbing was brutal. Glad to see your coverage of this event.
Glad to see you with your own channel Ben. Was looking for this back when I saw you previewing rides for Roll Massif. Keep them coming. - fellow Boulder gravel rider.
Many thanks from morocco for this great viedo👍🌹🌹🌹i have just by one with sram apex. Wheel dt swiss. I think i will enjoy with it. Have a great life sir🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Love your new channel / videos! I m glad you can finally try out the bikes how it should be and then give honest reviews. I know when you were restricted as a presenter for a company and have to "BS most of your reviews" it wasnt as honest as it can be. It was pretty much 'bike of the year" = "company who pays you the most to present it". Really enjoying that you actually go to these races and as viewers we can see what it is like.
Hi Marcus. Thanks very much! I hear you on the skepticism for big media brands, and there are certainly some pay-to-play models out there. That said, I'm happy to say that while at BikeRadar and at VeloNews I was able to say what I wanted. For instance, when Dan Cavallari and I picked the Trek Checkpoint at the bike of the year a couple years ago, that was simply because that's what we liked and thought was a good deal for riders. I realize that is not always the case! In any event, I appreciate your support. More to come!
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney cheers Ben love the Reviews so tempted with the BMC Kaius. Not sure if there shipping here yet. 🤦🏻 A little confession I’m a Precision fit bike technician with Trek.
Dig dig dig the groove. This urs is currently on a big special locally but still favour the revolt adv 0 as far as a safe choice first bike upgrade from hardtailing
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney This is a cool new project, look forward to watch your content. I'm chief editor for a printed magazine on gravel and bikepacking in France, what about an Itw some day ?
@@bistrotgravier Glad to hear print is still alive and well in France. I'd be happy to chat. DM me on Instagram and we can take it from there: @ben_delaney
I put a fox 32tc on mine and it makes the bike brilliant. You can run 38 to 40 instead of larger tires and get better performance than a 45. Bike is well designed for this and even comes with a knock block crown race
@The Ride with Ben Delaney - do you know what the max chainring size is that the URS fits? BMC won't answer the question ... I've seen people running 42T with what looks like quite a bit of clearance. Will a 46T oval fit?
That fork tip protector is clever!

Great review of the BMC. I expect They will up the tire clearance in the next interaction given the trajectory of almost all gravel bikes.

You would have been done before the rain. And yeah, come do one!
@The Ride with Ben Delaney : what a cool YT channel ! I'm following your work in Velonews and now I'm delighted to follow your vidéos.
Thank you! I'm no longer with VeloNews - this is my gig now. And I am happy to be following you. Cheers from Boulder.

Odd no comment on rear suspension. Guess it means he it is no sub for bigger tires. But still what do you think?
I thought BMC claimed that the URS can fit 700x48mm tires.
Great vid n race guys, what tires, pressure, n bike weight?
Vittoria Terreno Dry, probably 38psi ish for a 185lb rider, bike weight.... I don't recall, sorry.
Good O'.

You first said the campy brakes were delicious
The Campy brakes *are* great.
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney it won't be long before you have a 1K subscribers. I'd say in less than a year.

From BMC:
“max chainring size is 48. A 46 oval could work but it would depend on the size of the oval.”
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney Thanks Ben. Dunno why they don't publish this (or respond to e-mail). If a 48T round fits, a 46T rotor Q should for sure.

End this thing of putting roadbikes wherea mtb should be.
