Actually blown away by this review. More information on this camera here than I’ve gotten from a few “real world” reviews and several text reviews and breakdowns. I subbed.
This is the first of your videos that I've ever seen and I have to say, you are one of the most thorough and fair minded reviewers I have ever come across. Instant subscription. I ordered my a7III about a week ago and I'm very excited to receive it. My a6500 was my very first camera and I could not pass up the chance to upgrade to this for such a relatively low price.
Just bought one after owning the a6000 for two years. I did take the time to learn each of the features in the menu, but it took forever, and your video explained even MORE about each feature than I learned. Yours is the most comprehensive and best video I've ever seen on this camera. Instantly subscribed. I'm going to watch this again and again. Thank you!
Maarten, I learn more per minute of viewing time studying your reviews than from anyone else on UA-cam. I watch them all, just for my own education. I have Olympus gear and won't be changing but I get questions all the time, so I have to keep up. Thanks for all of your incredible efforts and attention to detail in these videos.
This is not just a review, this is a guide and it is incredibly excellent which you don't find it any easier even in the sony websites. Thx for the hardwork! Love the video
Dear Mr. Heilbron, I've come to really enjoy your reviews/comments. They're concentrating on content without any ads/hidden product placement. This "content-density" truly set's you apart from many other youtubers. Please keep up the superb work :)
I am not sponsored, so there won't be "ads" or promotions for products - but I did give Manfrotto a fair shout out for lending me the Nitro. I wanted to try it out, so when they offered I took it, but I don't think I can "review" it - there's just not enough to say (that I didn't say in the Best Video for A7 III video). I do wish to thank you for your kind words, I always appreciate when viewers take the time to correspond. I sometimes worry that it's too jammed with stuff - particularly on a camera that's this complex. I tried to keep it under 30 minutes, but failed.
I purchased this camera yesterday but have not yet received it. I'm an older person and did not grow up with computers. I've been using digital cameras for some time, but nothing as complex and versatile as this, and watching this video I feel like my head is about to explode! It will likely take me a year to comprehend everything you've covered, and I question if I'll be spending most of my time learning how to use the camera instead of taking pictures. I very much appreciate this video!
Thank you for your kind words, they are appreciated. It's not hard - just make it a point to explore one or two features (like multi-exposure) or settings (like high ISOs) , or to try different types of photos (like time-lapse).
This review, dose help! Got mine three days after the release and was eagerly awaiting your review or should I say deciphering of the menu. I was a bit overwhelmed with the focusing and metering modes, now with your review, those are nicely cleared-up. Keep up the fantastic job, I knew I could rely on you.
Wow only 6 minutes in and this review has already explained more about the camera than any other 15 minute review I've seen. Thanks for all the useful information!
Very detailed review, the best of Sony A7 III's review I found on UA-cam. Other youtubers just briefly describe the summary but you walk us through the physical look and menu! Subscribed!
ive been waiting forever for you to do A7iii - the aef tips is great! thanks Maarten, now i can muck around more in setup, does the AEF work for video as well?
Wow. One of the best camera reviews I’ve seen. Glad I ran into your channel. Mostly just the facts, with just enough interpretation sprinkled in to come away with a really good understanding of what the camera is capable of. Excellent!
Great video as always. I'm still on the fence on whether to get the a7iii or the riii, but considering your quality of photos here this camera seems to tick all the boxes. Quick question, what's your experience in using APS-C lenses on full frame for video? I know wouldn't use them for stills because of the 10mp, but in Super35 I'm wondering what the results would be if I used my Rokinon and Sigma lenses on a body like this.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. I think that APS-C lenses (and using the APS-C crop, as I mentioned in my video about the settings for the A7 III) are fine. 4K is 8Mp, and the Super25mm area of the sensor is 10Mp. I wouldn't for stills, but for video, those are likely fine lenses. I'd love to have the time (Sony Canada only let me have it for ten days - I'm trying to get it back for another week or two) to compare lenses and resolutions from HD and 4K with FE and crop lenses with full and super 35mm setting just to increase my confidence in those thoughts.
WOW! What an extraordinary compliment - I'm more than pleasantly whelmed by your erudition. I might have to have that on my tombstone "The Most Suave, Debonair and Informative of UA-camrs". One thousand thanks.
I don't understand how you don't have 500k Subs. Amazing, ultra informative, and dare I say a true and unbiased review. Now all I have to do do is choose what 35mm I want for a walk around.
Thanks for your kind words. In my view, I have exactly the right number of real subscribers, and the number increases at a nicely manageable and organic rate.
Great Review, Glad to hear face party is back. I like your deep dive into the menus to understand what ech item can be used for. Also great Sony brought memory recall on a custom button to some capacity in. I wish to have this to reset to point and shoot after a creative shot. Would love to see this on my 6500, but I don't have hopes as software updates rarely bring in new features or menu adjustments
Thanks for your kind words. That comment ended up over a screen that said "face priority" - on the previous screen it's ridiculously shortened to "face prty", which is the source of the attempted humour. The ability to put a selection of preset settings (with aperture and shutter speed) on a button is way better than a memory position - I just really love that very hand feature. The nice thing is that the setting is only held while the button is down - it would be nice to have this as a toggle, but I understand the complications that introduces. And I completly agree - I wish they would add that, seems like it would be easy to do. But of course, I'd hope for a complete revamp of the menu - ua-cam.com/video/pPSIaIn1mys/v-deo.html
Great Review as Always Maarten. I'm still searching around for my first ILC Camera and the A7 lll is very tempting given all its features & performance for the price but the prices for the lenses I want make it a little hard to swing for, do you think I should get an APS-C body like the A6500 and save up for some good full-frame glass and upgrade to a full frame body later on or just go right to full-frame
I'm sure you'd be happy with an APS-C camera, and yes, the A7III is very appealing. However, unless you need 4K video and the improved focus, you may be perfectly happy with the A6000.
@@MaartenHeilbron Thanks for the info. I did give the A6500 a try but found the grip a little too small for my hands (no where to lay my pinky) and while the buttons were well placed for the most part they felt kinda mushy and flat and sometime didn't activate even though I though I pushed on it enough. Here's hoping for an APS-C senor in an A7 lll style body.
I would agree with those comments - it is a little too small, which compromises some of the clearances required on tripods, etc. And that's an excellent suggestion.
By far, this is the best review of this amazing Sony a7 III Camera I've seen and, believe me, I've seen tons of reviews with regard to this camera because I recently bought one of these. Congratulations Mr Maarten Heilbron...! Excellent presentation, very informative, excellent images, great video and sound.... Very professional. Regards. FELIPE BARITTO (Venezuela).
@@MaartenHeilbron My pleasure....! I will... And please keep posting your excellent videos. I know there is a lot of hard work behind a production like yours. You have gained a new subscriber.
Your reviews: Always helpful, factual, unexited, humorous, in a nutshell: and nobody sees all the work behind it takes. I´ve benefit for buying decision several times. THANK YOU!Sony A7iii: it´s a dream camera for me (but not affordable) sometime later I will buy it second hand. Wish for you : go on rockin man...SMILE, Chris from Germany
Chris (and all my viewers in Germany) thanks for your very kind words, they are gratefully appreciated. And thanks for the smile - that proved to be infectious, thanks very much.
Nice indepth review. I learnt a lot of things.. Just one question, can the picture profiles be used while taking photographs to get that 14 stops of range?
Yes. You'll need to make the adjustments in lightroom. But do consider that there are other ways to capture that kind of dynamic range in stills - from in-camera settings like HDR to bracketing and using photoshop to blend the images together.
Hi Maarten. I enjoyed your review. I'm a Nikon shooter with every f/1.4 Nikkor prime lens up to and including the 85mm f/1.4, but I couldn't resist adding a Sony A7 III. I bought mine with the Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 G Master as my starting lens. Your review helped me come up to speed more quickly with several useful tips and bit of info. I am going to use my A7 III for video shooting, and as an alternative to my Nikon D750 / D780 when I want to have some fun with a different camera. Keep up the great work! I enjoy your channel.
Maarten's Fuji review helped me get an X-E3 and I am really happy with it. I am tired of lugging around heavy DSLR gear and needed a good FF mirrorless. ANYTIME I need to consider gear, I read Ken Rockwell and then check Maarten's channel. Ken Rockwell is bombastic, to be sure, but he has a lot of tech data and real-world usage data on his reviews while Maarten is more or less an expert dissection of a camera's capabilities in an easy-to-digest format without screeching rock music or hype that I often see on other channels. I really think a lot of UA-cam channels try to get in people's faces to attract sponsors so I appreciate Maarten's candor on the negative points of cameras. Thanks to his review, I've decided to trade in all my old gear for a nice, light a7riii and a decent zoom lens. Thanks!
An excellent review that was invaluable in helping me set up my new A7iii. It saved a huge amount of time fiddling with those extensive menus. Thanks Maarten.
I respect your not overly opinionated way you present your findings & leave the ultimate thoughts up to the viewer This journalistic approach is very refreshing 👍👍
Incredible review. Thank you. Quick question, does the A7iii autofocus when using video at 1080 at 60fps? I love shooting at F1.4 for family video work plus I've some vlogging work so I was looking at a camera rather than my 1D's. Thank you.
It's a pleasure to read your kind words. I believe it does, but I don't remember testing that specifically. It's a tough call, coming from a 1D - but I think you may be pleased on the features, but getting used to the Sony modus operandi may be challenging. At least the menu button is on the top left.
Thank you Maarten. Yep, coming from the 1D range is going to be a challenge yet I feel this sony would be a phenomenal addition. Thank you again. Geoff
Hi Maarten, stopping by just to let you know that I've finally upgraded my old a6000 for the a7iii. Picking it up today. So excited, and thanks for this great review. Greetings from Argentina.
Maarten Love your reviews. Always thorough. Bought my RX10 partly on the the strength of your video. I note you said you predominately shoot with the A7 iii in AF-S mode. One of things that’s holding me back at the moment is the screen jitters I perceive viewing the EVF when in AF-C mode when half pressed. I see a lot of moire too. AF-S looks fine. I would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Just stumbled upon your channel and I love the detailed and hands-on reviews. Really nice to see through the viewfinder and get a feel for the camera without actually touching it. It's actually quite refreshing to see such a down to earth and calm presentation here on youtube. Only downside is, I want an a7 III now ...
@@lumolde I will review the Canon 90D as soon as the loaner arrives from Canon Canada. Are you thinking for video? I find the recent firmware upgrades to the Sony to have been a marked improvement for video, for stills, I would find them similar.
@@MaartenHeilbron Nice, looking forward to it! Was thinking about stills, my Pentax doesn't really keep up with birds and wildlife when it comes to AF, so I am on the lookout for something new. The "train tracking" in the a7 iii review was pretty impressive!
@@lumolde In spite of the hype associated with the dual pixel af (in my mind it's just Canon branding for phase detect, as that's essentially how it works) I feel that Sony is the clear leader in focus systems.
Civil comments only?? Well, forget it then. Looks like a monumental camera achievement. Unless Canon and Nikon bring out comparable mirrorless cameras fairly soon I think they might be in deep trouble. The only thing I still don't like about Sony video is the greens. Great review as always. You do a staggering amount of work on each review.
I'm always impressed when viewers watch all the way to my closing, and can still post civil remarks - thanks! Also always nice to see your smiling avatar and to read your kind words. Greens huh?
Peter, Sony and Nikon are too far behind in terms of glass for their mirrorless. So, nothing they can do "fairly soon", in my opinion. I moved from Nikon D7100 to Sony A7 III and the difference is huge. Sony is something out of this world (though lenses are expensive, no doubt).
Although I do agree with the advanced state of Sony's firmware and functionality, what if Canon and Nikon develop full frame mirrorless models that can use existing lenses with existing mounts?
Maarten, I am pretty sure adapters would be offered but the size of the camera with adapted lenses would be an issue for some people. There is also a price consideration. I chose A7 III because it is really the best body money can buy today, in my opinion. I added Sony 85mm f1.8 for portraits and now waiting for Tamron 28-75 f2.8 for general use. This is a quite budget-friendly combination. If Nikon/Canon would not handicap their mirrorless as Sony did, I think, they have a good chance to be competitive. Another thing is nobody really knows when Nikon/Canon will release their mirrorless. I personally decided not to wait. At this rate of Sony's innovation, after Nikon/Canon release their cameras, new Sony bodies would be on the horizon.
I was thinking (as long as anything is possible) that creating cameras that don't require an adapter would be a very popular solution. I don't understand - how is Sony's handicapped?
Thank you for this! I'm a bit late on this one, but I just received my A7 III with the 24-105mm and your review was extremely helpful in making the decision, as well as setting it up after I received it. My wife loves you too. Subscribed!
Ah-Mazing Review!! Sony ought to compensate you for this. I've watched tens of amateur reviews that take this complex product and make it sound as if everything is AWESOME and clearly as you said it mostly is but not entirely. You Sir with your great eloquence need to be commended for this as you've helped me and others in preparing for or against this camera. Thank you very much!!
Thanks for a great review 👍 I should have the 24-105 for my A7iii next week as more stock is coming. The lens seems great for many types of photography subjects and i can't wait to replace my kit lens.
This was a wonderful overview of my new (and very first camera) sony a7iii. Ive been wondering if there was a way to get my AF to stop jumping around once Ive locked it and now I know I gotta change my setting from responsive to lock. Great info and awesome pace. Thanks for the knowledge!
Thanks for the kind words. The camera's firmware has been updated since I reviewed it, so some details may no longer be accurate. There was a substantial upgrade to the AF/Eye feature.
This review is one of the most thorough and well thought out reviews I've ever watched. You are a very talented person and I look forward to looking through your videos. I currently have a Canon 70D and have been considering a switch to Full Frame and Mirrorless. The Canon EOS R was my first consideration, but the Sony a7iii has me seriously considering switching to Sony. I don't have an investment in Canon lens, so I believe the switch may be warranted. Do you think I am making a fair determination to switch to Sony? Also, I am quite tech-savvy, will it take a long time to adapt my muscle memory to the Sony button/menu layout?
Wow, I'm overwhelmed by your kind words, thanks, appreciated. This decision depends on what you are after in making the switch. Unless you are planning to switch into heavy video production, or you have a very demanding focus/burst situation, I'd be happy to remain with the 70D, which I think is a terrific piece of gear. Of course you can adapt - but it requires both muscle memory and mental agility to adjust. The Sony just has so many more options - figuring them out, understanding which work better for you and under which circumstances or for which scenes they may be appropriate will take time. Of course, the more you shoot, and the more time you spend "playing", the easier and faster it will be.
Both have excellent selection, although there are more e-mount lenses from more manufacturers. I could not say that either format has the edge in either quality of pricing. The e-mount issue is that the best lenses are full frame, which in size and price tend to be larger than x-mount lenses.
I haven't owned this camera yet buy your review makes me feel easier to get the hang of it when I finally get a chance to switch to Sony. Thank you! One of the best review I've ever watched!
Thanks for the kind words - I'm not sure why you'd be a JPEG user, but sure - however you may wish to spend some time with the Creative Style settings to make sure you're getting the look you want in camera. Note that you can create several style box versions - so you have specific settings for landscape, portrait, etc.
If you all ready own a Sony A6400, would you consider the sony a7 mark 3 or wait to see if the a7s mark 3 arrives early this year? Thank you again for a brilliant review :-)
@@MaartenHeilbron better lowlight performance and hope to see 4k 60fps, but not sure if i need it. I'm more into video than photo at the moment, but do both. I'm maybe better of with the a7 mark 3 on sale if they release a new one soon?
@@tshansen You could get better low light performance either with some lighting gear, or with a better lens? As for 4K 60 - not sure that makes a lot of difference - where are you showing your videos? What is the content?
Thank you for another helpful review. How did you find the AF speed and accuracy vs. the Sony A9? I don't need the A9's 20 fps (and likely can't afford an A9 anyways) but would be tempted to move to Sony if the AF is quick and accurate. Eye AF seems like a fantastic feature for photos of kids. Thanks again.
Always my pleasure, thanks for the kind words. I thought it was the same or slightly faster. Although it does have EyeAF, the A9 doesn't have the touch pad function.
Wow! That is impressive, given how much less expensive the A7iii is than the A9. Is the continuous AF tracking also similar speed and accuracy between the A7iii and the A9?
I know this video is a couple of years old but it is still more than relevant in making a choice for the proper setup that I am currently looking for. Your review covered all that I needed to pull the trigger on this Sony wonder.
@@MaartenHeilbron Thank you for immediate response. I never expected your response so fast. I am not a pro but learning (eventually trying to become pro), had NEX5N earlier. I like Z6 handling and its touch options and on the overhand feel hard to hold sony a7iii ( I tried both in store nearby). I do not know about autofocus difference between two ( in store hardly had time to test it). I heard people say a7iii is better but also few videos on you tube talked about how good Z6 af is. I am basically using this camera for family photos and videos and later as a pro. I do not have lenses and need to buy based on the on brand I choose (sony or nikon or 3rd party). I know you handled both a7iii and Z6 and made in depth videos on them. Which one do you recommend and why. Thank you again for all your wonderful videos on photography and waiting for your response.
@@kuppast007 If you are familiar with Sony's menu system on the NEX5, then the A7 will be more familiar - and you might have a lens you can re-use. They are both excellent cameras - I would suggest that Sony's autofocus is better.
Maarten, could I have professional opinion on whether should I get a a7r iii or a7 iii? Does 42 mp resolution worth the extra money? I understand, from Justin's evaluation in terms of dynamic range, high ISO and autofocus, that a7 iii has edge. I just wish I have the power of high resolution so when I print the picture in large print the resolution of print still shows finer details. Thanks for the advise.
Only you can tell, but I would suggest that if you're leaving the decision to me, the A7 III is the better choice. You will still have plenty of fine details even when printing to larger resolutions.
Amazing review Maarten. You have got yourself a new subscriber :) I'm currently using a Nikon D5300 mostly for Culinary Arts, Astrophotography and also some daily street and portrait photography. I'm quite interested in A7 III thus I've been watching lots of reviews lately.
Wow. A lot of information. I´ll have to pause the video and come back later. I´m waiting for my A7 mark III. Ordered today. I´ll come back later. Thanks
I could not have asked for more that what you have so beautifully and concisely included in this video. Just let's me know more and more that I made the right decision on my A7III and how much, so very much, to learn about what all it can do!! Thank you so much!!📸📸👍🏾👍🏾
Great review! Thank you. It is very useful. Can I ask you? What color depth of raw A73 produced in silent electronic shutter mode? Does it has 14 bits per pixel as in normal shutter mode? Thank you in advance
Thanks for the kind words. I didn't test this issue, and have had to return the camera. The manual makes no mention of any issues related to RAW for silent shooting, other than bracket not being available.
Another great review, Maarten. Can't say enough about how I appreciate your style. I'll be borrowing a friend's A7III+Tamron 28-75/2.8 for a week. Having used that combo for just a few minutes, I was quite impressed with the IQ/stills output (I am not a video guy). Am curious, as the Nikon Z6 came out subsequent to this review, what your Z6 vs A7III thoughts are.
@@MaartenHeilbron Thanks for the prompt and fearless, reply Maarten. I am familiar with the Z6, so look forward to my upcoming tryst with the A7III+Tamron... Keep up the great work!
I could totally relate to the person who posted "my head was about to explode." Thank you for a great review of A7iii. I got the A7iii and I'm taking a trip. I want to travel as lightweight as possible. Can I get your opinion on 35mm prime lenses? Between the Sony 35mm 1.8 and the Zeiss 35mm 2.8 is the extra cost of the Zeiss worth it? At twice the cost I would expect quite an improvement in image quality with the Zeiss.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, thanks for the kind words. At a certain point, it takes quite a lot of money to add small improvements. Unless you're very fussy, or just got a bonus, I'd take the Sony lens.
Great review! I'm thinking about the A7III in 2021 as my first full frame camera, looks like a good all rounder. a;so bookmarked this video too so I can come & re watch when I get my A7III :-)
Outstanding video, bravo 👏. I wish you slowed down when you displaying the slides of the menu so I can follow your steps on my camera. Thanks a lot Maarten
When I first started watching this I thought it was going to be another retirement aged 'I've been a photographer all my life' giving his hot take on a camera after about 10 minutes. I was proved so wrong by the end, what a fantastically informative video. Thank you.
Hi, Maarten. Great review as always. If I may throw in my 2 pennies, I think people might get even more out of your reviews if there was a greater focus on image quality and examples thereof over menu critique. Keep up the thorough work :)
Throw in as many as you need - and thanks for the kind words. While I agree that I don't spend much time on image quality, I do provide samples on flickr to allow viewers to make their own judgements. I'm not a pixel peeper, nor do I have the equipment to do what others like dpreview do so well with repeatable, comparable test setups. Although I do my best to cover a lot of ground, I also realize I can't be all things to all people, and do recommend that you make a judgement about any camera after reviewing several sources. Sorry, but thanks.
Hello. Really like the objective tone in all of your reviews. Currently on the fence of moving in to Sony(coming from, but not heavily invested in the Canon system) and can afford only one of these options: - a7ii + 24GM - a7iii + 28mm f2 Would also love to hear your thoughts for other options I may consider. Thanks in advance!
Love your reviews, they are so detailed and extremely well made. Truly appreciate that. A minor correction: Face Detect is available in 4K, just not when you have an external monitor or WiFi connected. I suppose it does not have the processing power to do Face Detect when outputting to another device.
Thank you, I do appreciate when a viewer recognizes the work that's involved in these projects. I'm sorry I didn't figure that out during the review. But of course, it doesn't have the processing power to detect my face under any circumstances. The camera is full of a bizarre set of documented and undocumented conflicts - like proxy recording eliminating the HDMI feed.
Your reviews never disappoint. Thanks for taking the time.
Always nice to be recognized for the amount of effort involved in these videos, thank you for your kind words.

wow, this is called a review, you have raised the bar for a camera technical review on youtube. Super technical review
Thanks, your kind words are appreciated. I didn't use the word "detailed" lightly.
Thanks for the video Maarten. This is the most comprehensive video on the Sony A7 III I have seen on UA-cam.

Thanks for a very comprehensive detailed description of this camera. I m researching to buy so all these hands-on detail are priceless. Great work !!!
That's very kind, thanks for taking the time to share your comments.
Absolutely the best & most informative review on the A73 I've seen thus far. Thank You

Great review! And thank you so much for your observations and suggestions for menu settings...always a learning experience and much appreciated!
It's always great to hear that my videos have provided good and useful information. Thank you.
I definitely got some good pointers here. I love your enthusiasm. We need more of that on the internet these days. Subscribing!

This is how a review should be, amazing! Thanks alot!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the kind words.
I recently got this camera (love it) and your video was very helpful, thank you!

It was a pleasure to read your kind words, thanks!!
Thanks!

Geoff

It's actually quite refreshing to see such a down to earth and calm presentation here on youtube. Only downside is, I want an a7 III now ...
It's always a pleasure to know that my content is useful and appreicated. Sorry about the GAS effect.
Maarten Heilbron how would you compare the AF(C) in the a7 iii and D500? And will you make a review of the new Canon 90d?
Your review is like a text book!! You should be paid for these!! Thanks
Thanks, and thanks to Google Adwords, you are paying me for these.
Thank you for this! I'm a bit late on this one, but I just received my A7 III with the 24-105mm and your review was extremely helpful in making the decision, as well as setting it up after I received it. My wife loves you too. Subscribed!

This was a wonderful overview of my new (and very first camera) sony a7iii. Ive been wondering if there was a way to get my AF to stop jumping around once Ive locked it and now I know I gotta change my setting from responsive to lock. Great info and awesome pace. Thanks for the knowledge!
Glad it was helpful! Always nice to read kind words from my viewers.
Great review! Did you say the face and/or eye focus doesn’t work in 4K video mode?
Excellent review. Keep up the great work!
I appreciate the kind words, thanks for commenting.
very good and detailed review.
can u suggest between fuji xt4 and sony a7m3 as per the lens selection and price of lenses?
Both have excellent selection, although there are more e-mount lenses from more manufacturers. I could not say that either format has the edge in either quality of pricing. The e-mount issue is that the best lenses are full frame, which in size and price tend to be larger than x-mount lenses.
@@MaartenHeilbron Thank you.

Hi there, I've been enjoying your videos, very informative. By the way, would you recommend this camera to jpeg users?
Thanks for the kind words - I'm not sure why you'd be a JPEG user, but sure - however you may wish to spend some time with the Creative Style settings to make sure you're getting the look you want in camera. Note that you can create several style box versions - so you have specific settings for landscape, portrait, etc.

You are excellent in your reviews...very thorough!
It's nice to have my viewers see my intention - thanks for the kind words.
I didn't have them side by side - but yes, again, same or better, as demonstrated in the "responsive" setting in the video.
I know this video is a couple of years old but it is still more than relevant in making a choice for the proper setup that I am currently looking for. Your review covered all that I needed to pull the trigger on this Sony wonder.

Thank you for wonderful review. I am torn between a7iii vs Nikon Z6. Which one do you suggest and why... Thank you in advance..
I appreciate the kind words, but I know nothing about you, your style or your photographic interests - so am at a loss to recommend.

Thanks for giving this old guy a chance, glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Currently on the fence of moving in to Sony(coming from, but not heavily invested in the Canon system) and can afford only one of these options:
