Yes, I think we all have. ❤️😊He is a gentle spirit who just gets confused easily. I know how exhausting it is because we had to take care of my 91 year old Father in Law who had the same issue. Only we kids took turns living in HIS house so it could be more consistent with him. But every three days, we would swap out because it is so draining on us. We did it for a year and a half and then he passed away.

Me too. Its the years he experienced in his eyes I think maybe. I am hoping for his best. I would comment on my findings recently for many dementia sufferers, but I don't want to upset anyone. The intenional causation of many illnesses has recently made me realize evil is real and my love for this family makes me so upset that I can do nothing.

Dan , you are amazing with your dad, I commend you SO much for your caring for Ed, especially in these confused situations. I’m turning 80 in August. I watch your video’s every night when I go to bed, I’m still awake at 2 or 3 am . You have been blessed with the patience of Jobe. I’m a patient person but my husband is the opposite?? Maybe that’s why we have been married for 58yrs 😅 . 2 daughters 1 son
7 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren . We are a very close family I’m very grateful for that. All the very best to you and Danielle for your caring to Ed in these difficult times. ❤❤👍👍

Bless his heart and Bless his family for keeping him at home instead of putting him in a home where he is surrounded by unfamiliar faces and unfamiliar surroundings….As someone who worked in an Alzheimer’s unit I so appreciate and advocate for keeping loved ones at home! Thanks Dan, Mark and family…..you extend your dads life!

Dan..... you (like your dad), are an amazing man with the patience of "Job". God bless you!!! It's evident that you have far more patience with your dad, than both Mark and Danielle! Kudos to you ALL! As the husband of a woman whose mom also suffered from dementia, I have a pretty good idea what you go through on a daily basis! You're fortunate. My mother in-laws condition was far worse than your dad's. But I'm so grateful I got to meet this woman. Unfortunately, she was well into the latter stages of dementia when I met my wife. However, it warms my heart to know that while she forgot alot of her family members names. She not only remembered my name...But, she ALSO knew that I was her SON-INLAW!!!! Rip mom aka Beatrice Porter!🖤🖤🖤🖤

Good afternoon, Salinger family, and poor Ed, I guess having everybody over and a lot of social interaction with the family gets him even more confused. Plus he ended up in your room so that just added to it. But as always, you do an amazing job with him and we all know it’s hard for him with his memory loss and everything else but it’s still such a wonderful thing you and Danielle and the whole family do for him on a daily basis and my continued good thoughts and prayers for you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dan you have the patience and compassion of a sainted son❤
Apart from your natural tendencies, much of your strengths would have been nurtured by you parents, and encouraged to continue to flower by the love and support of your beautiful wife Danielle.
Your children are indeed fortunate to have such strong foundations which will allow them to give the examples you have taught them to their children and their communities.
This is how to build a better world……Love you all…

Both of my husband's parents suffered from dementia--his dad from Alzheimer's and his mom from Parkinson's. It's so difficult watching your loved ones gradually lose their precious memories and personalities. When your dad asked, "Am I going crazy?", it was really heartbreaking. 💔Poor sweet fellow...😢 Thank you for always reassuring him by saying, "Everything's fine, there's nothing to worry about." You're a wonderful son and he's so blessed to have you and your family taking such great care of him!

Thank you for your patience with your dad. My grandfather had dementia and walked out of the house at about 3am one day 37 years ago, wearing nothing but shorts, a light sweater and slippers, and has never been seen since. My poor grandmother didn't even realise he had gone out until she woke up at 6am.
