I worked for Dyson as an online sales & customer service rep for three years and you were spot on in complaints. Literally the trigger having to be held was my number one complaint from my customers. And yes, using your Dyson cordless on Max will destroy your battery in minutes. A lot of my customers felt they got played by not being told that when they bought their vacuums. Having worked for them and seeing how sketchy they are and how the machines fail and/or the batteries fail just after the 2 year warranty ends on most of them really turned me off to the brand. You can get a machine that is just as good for way less. :)
I do love my old Dyson Animal but glad I steered clear of the cordless. I bought a Shark for much cheaper and it’s great for small-scale cleaning.
My Dyson stick vac doesn't even hold a charge anymore. I use it for less then 2 min and it just cuts off after fully charging. Waste of money

OMG! Vivian thank you for reviewing this. I just went to a different Aldi today and they had this vaccum out in the discount area of the AOS for 44.99. I could not even BELIEVE that it was actually just sitting there. Literally I yelled OH MY GOD outloud! One happy camper here!
I love my Dyson. I have three. Yes Vivian, three. Two cordless sticks and a big old plug-in Animal honker that is 14 years old and still works. I understand that I could probably put a down payment on a new car for what I paid for my Dyson's but maaaaaaan, they really are the best. I have a 125 lb overactive shedding family member that requires a serious vacuum. When I find something that works, I usually stick with it. I am relieved that the Aldi knock off lost the dust-on-the-carpet test because I probably would have lost it if it out did the Dyson. Thank you for testing this and keeping us up on the latest cool stuff everywhere. MUAH! (do people still say that?)
My dyson is so good that when I left my ex husband and took it with me he bought himself one. Could live without me but not the dyson!! Worth every penny.
I still say muah but I spell it mwah! And I'm the person who invented calling your southern parts your "hoo-ha" and now everyone says it. Even Olly, who now has hoo-ha vitamins.

Someone gifted me a big old plug in Dyson and it worked fantastic. I took it to my clients to use and show him and forgot it. He got sick and his family came and stole that and a few more of my things. 😭 I want my dyson back

In 2020 I purchased a Dyson + 6 weeks later, the battery DIED!!!! Because of covid, I had to do everything online, including diagnosing WHY my $625 Dyson (pet vac) would not work AND would I was NOT able to (even) charge it. Diagnosis - DEAD battery . . . so I had to "apply" for a new battery. I received THE NASTIEST email, saying that most likely the battery died because I did NOT clean the filter. (I happened to have cleaned the 3 times in 6 weeks.) My "blood boiled" with accusing ME of not cleaning the filter AND my stupidity was the reason the Dyson vac died, so I returned the vac, TO Dyson. Lucky for me, because of covid, they had extended their one month return policy and sent me a prepaid shipping label. When the box went back TO Dyson, there was a NASTY letter AND all kinds of JUNK in the box . . . I will never, ever purchase another Dyson product. They always have been OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced.
That pressurize test hold the forced on the vacuums. It tests the filter and seal. I love it!!!

Bissell. The Bissell Pivot Pet vacuum (can’t remember exact title, but I can find it). My mom has the Dyson Animal. This is a dupe for that & it actually works BETTER, and several sites I visited before buying it rated it equal to or higher than Dyson. I love it. So, yes, there is another that does it. 😃

My Dyson stick broke down in less than 6 months. I replaced with an inexpensive stick from Wal-Mart that I like better. Wish I had known about this one.

I’ll also add that if you garden and are in the market for garden edging, Aldi’s is the absolute best price hands down. You can get ~3 boxes for the same price as Lowe’s/home depot 1 box. You’ll want to buy more stakes though.

My family love our Dyson's. I've had my DC39 for 10 years. My son is now 23 and bought himself the same Dyson stick cleaner you have. It was his first adult purchase shortly after he turned 18.
My Dyson is interchangeable to the handheld as well. I LOVE my Dyson, I have been using them since they came out. My first one was a big vaccume and it was red. Lasted forever!

I recently stumbled onto you channel and binged watch some of ur video. You are a true gem lol. I have the dyson cordless stick vacuum and love it so much. I hate that the battery needs to recharge after 15 minutes of “max” suction. I recently purchased , from Amazon, the vacuum stand with tools holder. Best thing ever! You don’t need to drill holes into walls. Maybe it will be of benefit to you for your new vacuum (or old vacuumtoo).
I have the V-11 and always use it on auto, does a great job and the battery last longer.
I have had one of these and they work great. I wore one out after 5 years and bought another. Love them!!!!

I love my Dyson. I have the V6. It’s an older model but I’ve had it for about 6-7 years. It’s starting to fail but I’m not giving up on it yet. Gonna have to figure something out. When my mom visited me and I was vacuuming the living room rug and she said “that’s a good vacuum.” I asked her why and she said “I can see how deep it’s getting into the carpet.” I agree the suction is amazing for a stick vacuum.

I have 2 Dyson cyclone cordless stick vacuums; both purchased from "Dirt Cheap" BNIB for 95% off, (less than $50 combined). Now, they are phenomenal machines, but that Aldi's price is hard to beat. Another great video, Vivian!

Personally for me is highly important to have something that doesn't leak out a dang thing but of course I would never put my money into a vacuum that doesn't have a light and a feature that stays on so that my finger doesn't get tired.
I know that Dyson came up with other models I'm not sure about those since I have another Brand vacuum anyway ...., Maybe those have a better on feature so our fingers don't get tired that was just the stupidest thing ever and I questioned those who bought it and kept it. Well....., thank you did this video! PERFECT!

I don't want to be negative in any way but over the last 50 years I've had a few vacuum cleaners my Dyson is absolutely the best one and yes I've had dupe stick Vacs 🤷♀️ can I suggest you use it for a few years and update us on how well it lasts 👍
I just got my LG CordZero All in one and it self cleans and emptied itself 😭 I love it so much!!!!! I have the dyson too it was my favorite forever but now with this LG it’s freaking amazing 🤩

OMG VIVIAAAAN!! How’d u get in my head?! I am currently hunting a new stick vac! After several years my Dyson has started to overheat & cutoff after a few mins. I almost got a Blk&Decker bc they have interchangeable batteries that I already have several of but they don’t have a trigger on any of theirs & that’s a dealbreaker for me. For $89 I will be giving this a shot if I can find it🤞🏻 THAAANKU VITCH!!🙏🏻❤️

100% agree with the finger press situation. I have a steam mop that needs the button to be pressed, and i wrapped a bit of velcro around it to hold it on for me.

I ordered 3 hair toppers from a site on Facebook. They advertised it was real hair. When I finally got them I was so disappointed. They look like Halloween wigs. I spent $50.95 but got a refund from PayPal for $30. The colors were not even like what I saw when I ordered.

For as much as you seemed to love it, I was surprised to hear you gave it only 3 Vivian heads. The thing that is unfortunate about Aldi is that so many times you need to be there when they open on Sunday to get the good stuff. There is such a limited supply of those special items.
I got my brand new Dyson with all attachments at Goodwill for $10. It looks like it was used once. Its not a stick. Its a full vacuum. Can't beat that.

You should have shown how the Aldi and Dyson did on a hard surface. I would never clean carpet with a stick, I'd use it strictly for a fast pickup on hard surfaces. I have a Kirby for carpet.
My dyson does amazing on my carpets
@@SlotChik I also have a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal that I use on carpets, but I don't think it does as well as my Kirby.
Agreed. I bought the Aldi one just to use as sort of an electric broom. Works great on tile, hard flooring of any kind. Just so so on carpet, especially with pet hair. Thats where the Kirby comes in, for the tough jobs.

I've got a Kirby too but never use it anymore. It's just too heavy.
