Enamel pots.... do NOT use anything that scratches! You can use " bar keepers scrub" with sponge , other name would be "bonami". Also, vinegar with baking soda for tough stains. Thank you so much!
I use Mr Clean erasers or less scrubby melamine sponges. Pam does discolor, but mine has black inner surface. Best wishes on the expanded fam, G-Ma. I never noticed what people meant when they said they recognized my granddaughter in me until I saw her Senior pictures. What a joy watching her grow up!

Vivian, dang, another great store we don’t have here in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Washington State! I am always hearing how great ALDI is. Loved your comparisons. Could really save some money if I drove to the closest store in Southern California 😂😂😂 You will love being a GG once you see a baby produced by your child. The thing with the cast iron pans is that the inexpensive ones made in China chip on the first wash. I bought one for 50 at target and treated it like it was made of glass while cooking and washing and it chipped the first time and keeps chipping unfortunately. I broke down and bought a Le Creuset during a sale and its worth its weight in gold. When you consider how much we pay for disposable things like cosmetics it is definitely more of a value to buy the good one.
Absolutely! There is a world of difference between cheap cast iron cookware and the more expensive ones. I've found most of the reviewers opinions on this channel to be way off imo🤷♀️
Thank you for bringing this up, as an avid cast iron user. I can tell you there is a mayor difference when you go cheap.
Understandable however you stated your cheap version was from Target and she’s talking about Aldi products. If you have ever purchased cookware from Aldi then you know how amazing there stuff is and it’s great quality! You get luxury items for cheap and they hold up great. I mean everything in my kitchen is from Aldi almost and I maybe bias because I use to be a manger there so I had a few years to test things myself lol. My advice is to just try it before you completely cross it out. During these times we gotta be careful with what we buy. Overall Aldi and Lidl is the best and I put a lot of people on to these stores because it’s foreign to them.
You have to be a bit more careful with the enameled cast iron. Metal utensils will score the enamel.

baking soda and water simmer until stains release. works like a charm for enamel on cast iron
I love my cast iron pans nothing sticks in them mine is seasoned really well been using them over 30 yrs...I think key is make sure pans or fry pans are hot before you add food to the pans
You're absolutely right. No matter what pan/skillet you use your pan must be hot before adding food.

I bought a white Crofton 6 qt dutch oven in 2013 for $29.99. 9 years later it's still holding up strong and looks just like new, no chipping, no staining, no issues!

Some Aldi's carry the 4.2 qt size dutch ovens, as well. They also have the smaller black cast iron pots, pans, and grill pans which I prefer since once you season them properly, nothing sticks to those babies. Great job, Vivian. Love your channel.

Cast iron retains heat and allows you to use a lower temp than you would need with a traditional pan! One of the perks :)

Nothing better than being a grammy! Congrats to you. You can probably get generic replacement brushes on amazon. I used to have a Sonicare and never bought their brushes. Always went with the generic. You just have to match up the type of post that holds the brush. If the brush posts of the two you have look similar, try putting one of the name brand brushes on the Aldi brush.
I tried Aldi's skin care at 1 time where I was pretty much broke lol and I will end up using it even after I wasn't broke it is really good.

Hi V, I spray all my pans with Pam, and have no problem.never use metal on any pots and pans.Wash with Dawn and a paper towel .Congrats on the Baby 🍼

Aldi is amazing! I remember when they first came to the US, the store was rubbish. It had horrible produce and food that was about to expire. They really stepped up their game, and it’s now my go-to store. The candles are just as good as Bed Bath and Beyond, but they’re much cheaper, and the Jo Malone knockoff candles that they had last year were just as good as the insanely expensive version. I hope my Aldi has that Dutch oven. I want one now.

Aldi's Lucerna face moisturizer is my hands-down fave for the price. They were out for about six weeks in my area (south FL) and I was worried they weren't going to ever have it again. But suddenly it was back, $3.99/jar, and I bought eight of them, so I'm good until next summer! Woo hooo!!!

I love my cast iron dutch ovens, i always cook on low-medium heat with them. Just a tip: after washing apply a little bit of cooking oil to the black parts to stop it rusting. Congrats on the new edition to the family

@Vivian Tries, the original cast iron pans are the original nonstick. Do use no stock or a little oil, but most things will just wipe right out with a paper towel. Rinse with hot water. If something sticks, rinse it out, then put a few inches of water in the pan and heat to a boil. Turn off the heat and allow it to sit a few minutes (but not for an extended period and never over night) Pour out the water then wipe out.
Girl My Aldi marked the beautiful cast iron casserole pan $12.99 and the H2o Hydro Boost cream $3.79. I purchase the night cream also I would compare to Shiseido. it was heavenly and my face was so soft this morning. Love Love it. Thanks you.

I bought a red ombre 6 qt enameled cast iron dutch oven from Aldi about 3 years ago. It was in their week sale flyer and they had a lot of them. I took it out of the box and examined it, it was perfect and beautiful. I use it all the time and I've had things stick but after the pot cools a bit I put hot soap water in it and soak for 30 minutes. I always use dish cloths first then a soft scrubby pad if needed, washes beautifully. Fully dried I put it back in the original box and store till next time. Never had an issue with it and the best part was the price was $19.99. Just like my pro stainless steel cookware, ALWAYS heat up slowly. These types of cookware hold heat extremely well and things will stick and even burn if heated to fast and always heat with oil so everything is at the same temperature.

If you heat enameled cast iron with oil BEFORE adding anything, nothing will stick. Don't need a lot, just a few drops wiped on with a paper towel will do. I have to try that water-gel moisturizer. I've been using the Cover Girl version for months and I love it, but if Aldi's Lacura brand is equivalent, what a win! Thanks for this comparison video.

I ADORE the Hydro Gel Lacura gel. I add a few extra squiets of my Hyluronic acid serum to it.

Actually the Le Creuset is superior. It’s lighter, has a superior baking/cooking surface, lasts FOREVER. It’s a once in a lifetime purchase.
You’ll be replacing everything else you buy but not Le Creuset.

Congratulations soon to be GG. I bought that same enamel 2 qt. casserole last year. In the past I have purchased other enameled pieces from Aldi and they do hold up if you aren't careless with them. One thing I do before putting food in the casseroles is spray them with vegetable spray, it makes clean up much easier. Also if they r super stuck soak with warm water and little degreaser dish soap. When they get stained I let soak in warm water and a few tablespoons of bleach, look like new in 20 min. Then wash in hot soapy water.
