4:07 off to the left you can still see where I dragged my F-150 to a halt trying to get up when it was really muddy! Had to back up and go around to the right like you did. Stock F-150 Tremor.

I can see that. Glad you got it out these trails can be treacherous.

Great video that paints a realistic picture of this trail. The first half would not be a great one for most stock vehicles IMO. One thing that surprised me when I ran this in the fall the same direction as you is the number of vehicles coming the other direction. Thankfully I did not encounter them until after I crested the hill but 4 or 5 vehicles were running it in the opposite direction that day which could be problematic if I had encountered them on the hill as it is pretty narrow.

I agree, it would not be any fun to meet anyone coming down this hill. This is the most accepted direction. However, many do come the other way. I use it late in the day from the other direction as a short cut to our cabin in Menifee county. Late in the day most of the traffic is minimal. Thanks for the kind words I try to make my videos as realistic as possible.

With all the rain we’ve had, any idea if Fincastle water would be passable this coming Sunday 4/14? I’ve done it before but it was only about 18” deep. Just curious if someone more local could give me some more insight if that stays deep for a long time. JLUR on 37’s. Always appreciate the videos!

I'd expect it to be pretty high, but you really never know for sure. I haven't been on it it a couple months. However, the last time I was up here on a club ride my TJ broke down just before we went on Old Fincastle and I missed it. I was told it was pretty much over 35s and I believe we've had more rain this time. Don't go alone.

@@naturesglorycabin3792 thanks for your insight! Was looking to lead a group of 10 or so, but we might just run sinking creek to fixer and then on to spaas and pumpkin, save Fincastle for another day.

The last time I was on Sinking creek the water was so high I had a little trouble keeping on the trail. But it was not Fincastle deep.
