I was surprised at the Briggs engine. The domestic Chinese engine may not have been smog tested for US so they substituted. Those little rubber tracks look like a future fail point. Unless they are common I'd consider buying a spare set just so I know they are available when I need them in a few years.
Agreed. The place I bought it from has a parts room with extra tracks if I do need to buy one. I hear the harbor freight Predator engine warps directly with the Briggs for replacement.

Very similar experiences with my little machine - I use mine all the time and it works great. For the price it it well worth the investment. And as you say, you have fun working instead of breaking your back. Now you need a little skid to with it 🤣
You could add a small fan on each side of the machine. One blowing in and one exhausting. Both across from each other. That way it would get rid of the heat that comes up from the engine. Great review as I just picked up a 2.0 tonne machine.
I have seen people do the two fans. I bought small fans from Amazon when I first bought this. Then after using it in the summer heat, I learned the one fan works well. I hear some people deal with boiling gasoline in theirs! That’s crazy hot! Congrats on the new machine. It’s wild what they can do.
It other hydraulic attachments could be put there. A log splitter would be amazing. I need to see if anyone has done that already! It’s got the hydraulic force behind it for sure.
9:15 mine came with the thin tooth grapple thats great for logs, its a pain to switch out because it hooks up different than the buckets. I like to use that rake to assit with blading through stuff. The ripper tooth seems good for logs too and its much less likely to bend. Theee machines are great😂😂
@OurLifeInTrees to be fair, I've only used it one afternoon. That being said, I pulled a monster pine stump out that has been sitting since it fell a few years back. The tooth didn't bend, and it got the log moved to where I can better deal with it. I'm waiting for weather to use it to dig out a small area with bushes behind our house, excited to see what it does to those, I've hand dug them out in the past, so I'm sure it's no comparison
Now I have to get one of these. Thank you for the detailed investigation after 6 months. I have to rebuild my front end loader but one of these would really be helpful!!
I have one also. First thing I pulled the back cover off and turned the engine straight. For real, there was no way I'm digging a hole with the engine under me on a slant

I think a lot of people look at a unit like this and make a blanket statement that combines its capabilities along with its build quality, robustness, and reliability, and of course price as if they were all the same dimension, but they're not. If the tasks you want to accomplish are within the range of this machine, then this machine has the capacity you need. Whether it's reliable or "cheap" or other factors are a different set of factors to be assessed. If this machine does what this guy wants day in day out with a low maintenance, repair, and running cost, then it's probably a good choice.
I fully agree with that. It works great for me. I’d love a bigger name brand machine, but it wouldn’t do all I need it to because of size, can’t afford it because of cost, and no where to store it as well.
We do, and it’s kinda scary on hills. Not a fan of I think it can do more on a hill than I allow myself. I’m kinda afraid of tipping over and am new to the world of tracked machines.

Learn how to jump turn brother it will save you time and keep you from tearing up your yard/driveway ....its a little tricky without foot pedals but it is doable
@gregwalsh7552 just use one hand to rotate tje machine and the other to drive the outside track in the direction you want to turn ....its not a true jump turn but it will work well on such a light machine
Kymron specifically asks for the modifications at the Chinese factory and then imports them. They jack the pricing up by 50% or more. Its all marketing…
That is exactly correct. He has the Chinese factory set them up with the parts he wants and then imports them, assembles them, and has them sitting here in stock at his facility with shelves of parts for them. They also have serial numbers and paperwork that a bank will easily loan money on because it’s at a dealership. Easy transaction and a nice Chinese machine. Great business model and very profitable. Get some towing chain and one or two worn out truck brake drums and you can turn those into a counter weight that you can hang on the back, it's dirt cheap and ugly but it works. If they don't already have one you might be able to build a log splitter you can mount on that grabber.
More weight is a great idea. I could probably fit some drums inside the rear on the counterweight. I’d love a log splitter. Good idea. Just watched a video this morning where a guy made one for his excavator

Unbolt the rear engine cover to align the exhaust outlet, flip is over, problem solved. Also add a good 12 volt fan to one of the side vents to move that heat out.
That makes no sense. The video shows the exhaust outlet gasses hitting the cover opening on the far-left upper corner (10:00-11:00) side. Then when you pan out the cover opening is clearly offset to right of center of the machine. Unbolt it, rotate it 180 degrees and bolt it back up, I promise it will line up better. Looks like its a perfect little machine that you can use around the homestead. Looks like it's small enough to get into someone's gate to do a little bit of backyard trench work it's nice little machine. And I like that it comes with a couple different buckets
Agreed. Being 36” wide it will fit almost anywhere!

Now you need a little skid to with it 🤣
I know, I know, I need a baby skid…. And a dumper on tracks! Haha.
I’ve seen some of your videos. Amazing what these machines can do!
I never bought anything from wish but when I seen the ad for this I had to see it in action thank you sir for your purchase and review! 💪🏼
I appreciate your feedback.
How deep can you dig with it? Thanks
I think it can dig 6 feet down.
Take a grinder and grind down the bottom edge of the blade so it doesn’t gouge concrete. Pretty easy…
Good call. I will do that.
I wonder if you could change out that thumb and put a wedge/blade on it. Use it to split cut up logs.
It other hydraulic attachments could be put there. A log splitter would be amazing. I need to see if anyone has done that already! It’s got the hydraulic force behind it for sure.
Nice piece of kit. I believe that is called a micro excavator. I own a mini at 10k lbs.
They call them minis but you are right, it’s a micro. Micro mini? Haha
9:15 mine came with the thin tooth grapple thats great for logs, its a pain to switch out because it hooks up different than the buckets. I like to use that rake to assit with blading through stuff. The ripper tooth seems good for logs too and its much less likely to bend.
Theee machines are great😂😂
I don’t have a ripper. I have thought about getting one. You recommend it?
@OurLifeInTrees to be fair, I've only used it one afternoon. That being said, I pulled a monster pine stump out that has been sitting since it fell a few years back. The tooth didn't bend, and it got the log moved to where I can better deal with it. Hi there, can you get a fitting that will drill post holes for fencing purposes?
Yes. They do sell an auger attachment.
Do you got any hills around there? How do they do on hill / mountain sides?
We do, and it’s kinda scary on hills. Not a fan of I think it can do more on a hill than I allow myself. I’m kinda afraid of tipping over and am new to the world of tracked machines.
@@OurLifeInTrees if there was some spacers or something to make the track base wider base I bet it would not feel as tippy. I’d like to have a machine to carve some atv trails through the woods with.

I guess my question would be if you could swap out hydraulic parts with mainstream pieces as wear and tearbtake their toll. It seems like a fairly debent piecemof kit
They say the pump is interchangeable with a Parker or Eaton pump.
Unbolt the rear engine cover to align the exhaust outlet, flip is over, problem solved. Also add a good 12 volt fan to one of the side vents to move that heat out.
The rear cover flipped covers the exhaust more than the way it is.
I have a 12v fan on the hydraulic cooler on the right side.
Haha thank you. I appreciate your comment.
This machine is good for digging footers, a small lot clearing and any small jobs . Alot of people talk down on these machines but you can make 100 thousand and throw it away and buy another one .
Agreed!!!
Can you swap the hand controls on this like most excavators between back hoe mode or cat control?
I have no idea about that.
@@OurLifeInTrees simplify it can you make your main boom and rotate it with left stick and 2nd boom or stick on right.
Normally the hydraulic pump has a lever you can move left or right and it will swap your controls around
I've been trying to find the right thing to get, and this inspired me thanks!
Yeah they are like having a real life Tonka toy! Haha. The mini skid steer I just got is awesome too.
the exhaust cover looks like it was installed backwards. Can you flip it on the vertical axis 180 degrees
I have tried that because I thought the same thing it is actually worse if you can believe it.
I made a video showing me flipping the exhaust cover around. I really thought that would “solve” it.

I do have one question for you how is it with fuel.
It doesn’t seem bad. Never really calculate how much fuel it uses, but I fill it about as often as a lawnmower. Lol
How do you plan to get ot serviced? I am guessing your dealer isn't right around the corner.
No he’s not. I do it myself. Learn as I go. They are really easy to work on with a lot of great information online from other owners.
Could you add counter weights?
I’ve seen some people online add steep plates and even concrete to the rear.
Do those come with augers?
An auger can be purchased separately. I didnt buy one, but it sure would be handy.
Just purchased some raw, undeveloped land. Just like you, I've never handled larger equipment but I am a crack with a forklift!!
Do you think, guess, advice that you could use this machine to level off a spot say, 100ft by 40ft?
Maybe from one side to another a total of 3ft in depth to level off?
@@zeuszamora7354 Nice! Congratulations on the new land. I ordered a Chinese mini skid steer and it’s on its way here now from China. I did order an auger with that. I’m excited to see what it can do.
@@zeuszamora7354It can help level, but it isn’t the perfect tool for that. Much better than doing it by hand. It takes some effort to try and keep the dozer blade where you want it while going over bumpy terrain. The wheelbase is so short that small bumps move the dozer blade quite a bit.
I hope this helps to answer your question.
That rear exhaust shield is upside down, it will line right up with that hole the if you reinstall it right side up.
That’s exactly what a thought, but it doesn’t work. Sigh…

Friend has one and found it very difficult to find parts. It’s been sat for 6 months still waiting for parts from China. (Ireland)
Wow. Some parts are easy to come by, some aren’t. If it’s the same machine, Hightop can get him what he needs.
