I want to warn everyone in the comment section: YOU MUST USE THE FLOWER THAT IS LINKED IN THE DESCRIPTION. If you use a store bought gluten free flour it will not set and you will get sand cakes. The flour they use in this video has Xanthen gum and cornstarch, two agents that are not always present in other flour mixtures.

TY for this recipe. It'd be helpful, if you can give your opinion on whether Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour will work as the flour of choice for this recipe. The ingredients of Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour are: Sweet White Rice Flour, Whole Grain Brown Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Whole Grain Sweet White Sorghum Flour, Tapioca Flour, and Xanthan Gum.

    • @GlutenFreee

Yes this flour will work but please add milk gradually to make a dough. Don't add whole milk at once because of difference of flours.

Thank you for the recipe. I am also allergic to eggs. What can I replace it with? Or can I just do it without the eggs?

You can use psyllium husk powder and warm water to substitute for eggs. Look for videos on it typing phsyllium husk egg substitute.

mine came out like soup not batter. Seemed like a lot of liquids for only 2 cups flour

I’m just thinking that too. It must be the difference in the actual flour. As I can tell immediately 2 cups of UK. GF shop bought bread flour is not going to give me that result with the recipe ratios. It will be soup. 2 eggs alone are plenty liquid then there is 1 cup milk and 1/4 water. We would have to use the exact same flour as the video to get good outcome. I’m thinking of getting the Doves farm flour and so I’m researching recipes. I think I should find a UK recipe with ingredients I can too. Or there’s no chance of success with specialist baking.

Yes you are right . Difference of flour matters alot in gf baking. Each flour will give you different result.

I followed your instructions exactly with the ratio you provided but it turned out to be a batter not a dough even though I did not add all the 1 cup milk. I think something is wrong with the measurements. It's a big waste of gluten free ingredients especially nowadays everything is so expensive. I feel terrible...

You’ve gone a long way with your channel but you’re missing a very important part of a cooking channel. You don’t put in a link to get a printable recipe. If I decided to make one of your recipes I would have to hand write the ingredients and instructions. This is why I won’t follow your channel or give it a thumbs up. Too bad.
