Hey Snnuy! After reading the comment section i came to the conclusion that i have to finaly comment something here too. I cannot let the negativity win. I love how you try to bring in some new games onto this channel. Even tho this video is sponsored (and i guess you wont upload another video about this game too) i really enjoyed watching you play this game. In the end i subscribed to YOU as a person and not the game and thats why it makes me happy to see that you found a way for this channel to work after the big LoR Shakeup. It was a rough period but your PoC videos are very entertaining and everytime you play something else its like a sideadventure into new universes. Please stay the way you are and thank you for the amazing content. Greetings from a very pleased swiss viewer.
Thank you, that genuinely means a lot. The channel in general has been in a weird spot because of what happened to LoR and trying out different cardgames has been something I've always wanted to do. There are some I will definitely return to, but there are also some games that I'm reluctant to play again because I obvioulsy care about what viewers think. The fact that you're still willing to comment even through some of the negativity makes me feel a lot better. 🧡 Also I genuinely really liked the game and saw a bunch of other content creators play it, as well as a very positive rating on steam.
gonna be honest as soon as I saw that you found a new rougelike card game, before I even watched the video, before looking at any comments, before anything, I went to steam and bought it. Because I LOVE rougelike card games! No matter who makes them. And if you, Snnuy, are playing it, then it's worth my time and money!
Its okay Sunny, we love you and understand you need to earn money,in gonna use your link 😊might try to play the game, but anyway wanna help you with all i can ❤
@@ДэнДятло stealing and rewriting history has nothing to do with your blatant disinformation, based on nothing but emotions. Mongolian influence was a thing, but if we mirror your responses, you should be polish.
Snnuy ik u have been saying u wanted to branch out on card games potentially beacuse of the spot lor is in rn i was wondering if u are planning on playing slay the spire 2 when that comes out
This game is just not good. The first problem is the small numbers. When you do 2-3 damage attacks there isn't a lot of wiggle room for design. Increasing damage from 2 to 3 , increases it by 50%. You cant do a small buff to a card. You cant have a character that slightly stronger and deals a little more damage with basic attacks. You can't have a character who is slightly more defensive and gain a little more shields. The second problem is the boring cards. Just buffs , debufs , and damage. The only interesting mechanic os because of corpses you might want to save mana for next turn more often than other games. The third problem is the main mechanic of positioning. Each turn only one enemy can attack . If you kill him no enemy can attack. So try to kill him. Kick can change so the second enemy instead of first one. So basic and lame
I dont know if you have watched the same game but there are more then just debuffs, buffs and damage. First of all: he only had the first character unlocked. So he couldnt show us what the others are doing. Second: there are ranged and melee enemies. It reminds me kinda of darkest dungeon. Repositioning is and was key with the character he played. Third: doesnt every roguelike deckbuilder start with small numbers and stack up crazy as further you reach? Maybe give this game another chance. It actually looks good and has potential!
In retrospective I might have been too harsh , but I still think the game isn't good. 1) First impressions are important , hiding cool mechanics later in cooler characters works only if the first character and the first gameplay is good enough and I don't think it is . 2) The first ranged enemy was at 30 minute mark which is a little late to introduce first time a new enemy mechanic. Till then I felt that reposition was kinda useless . To be clear the mechanic was bad because the enemies didn't play enough with this mechanic. 3)About the deckbuilding . Yes and no. Yes , all the deck builders starts with small pool of simple cards and you evolve the deck to be interesting , but you usually see something innovative in the cards that you draft. Slay the Spire could afford the first character to have very simple cards because the enemy variety and their behaviors was interesting enough. Later every character had something very special about him from the start in the starter deck . Here they can't afford boring cards at the beginning because the enemies are also very simple . Maybe I watch a gameplay of different character , but I don't think my opinion will change.
@@bl4ckhearts802 Your assumption is wrong and I will tell you why it is not the same. In DD the position is VERY important , the skill you and the enemies can do change depends on the position . Here you cant change your position and the difference for the enemy is if the enemy can attack or not. Both here and in DD you might not be able to attack the enemy because of the corpses , but here I feel like that is worse. In this game because this is a deck builder you depend on randomness if you able to draw a card that reposition the enemy/steal the corpse and if you don't, the only thing you can do is armor up. In DD you most of the characters have something meaningful to do even if they cant shoot past the corpse/deal with it ,and the option is not random. I'm sorry , but I see this game as a downgrade from DD formula .
