      Sadly the cost to move that trailer would be well into the 5 digits if not 6 digits range. As one piece it would be 6 digits for sure. Otherwise you'd have to chop it up and it'd still be very expensive.

    Thanks for the video. I haven’t seen this Prime mover for many years. Worked with this truck several times when I was with Mashburn Trucking Inc. Out of Childress, Texas. Charles Mashburn had 3 Mack Prime Movers. This one was paired with a 500 ton lowboy made by Transport Systems out of Denton, Texas. Charles had 2 other Mack’s, a bit smaller, one with a 700 hp Cummins and one with an 800 hp Cummins. This one was a 1000 hp 16v Detroit and all 3 had Allison 12 speed transmissions. All air starters that would make unsuspecting folks run when you hit the starter! Please keep us updated on the progress and thanks again, this brought back many great memories.

      Many years ago, we at Louisiana Escort worked with Mashburn/National Rigging. "Tuff e Nuff", "Double Ugly and "Baby Huey" were the names of the prime movers. Many good memories, and so impressed with the whole operation. They were the pioneers in roll off jobs, long before Mammoet, Joe D Hughes, Emmertt Int'l., Lone Star, Sarens, Roll Lift, Deep South, and more. At that time, Mashburn was a good, stable company to work for.

    • @bradh7472
      @bradh7472 Місяць тому +13

      Well that is interesting. I worked for Emmert International in Texas, and when Lone Star Heavy Haul bought out Mashburn I'm not sure if the three trucks came with the deal or not. At Emmert we had a picture in one of the offices with all three lined up, I think in Gainesville Lone Star yard from the looks. Not sure if Lone Star sold them then or not. Emmert then bought out Lone Star Heavy Haul side so we got most of what was left of Lone Star equipment beam systems and Mashburn stuff. Back in I think 2013 or so we bought the 600 M75 Mack at the Ritchie Brothers Action location in Lake Worth, TX. Emmert still owns the truck and we used it once on the reactor vessel move from Las Vegas to Clive, UT. When we got the truck it still had the orange paint and said Double Ugly on it. Just like this one but smaller. We painted it Red to match the red equipment we ran at Emmert. The truck is now in Clackamas, OR at the corp office. If someone is interested in it call Emmert International in Oregon. I'm sure they would sell it. In Rhome, TX there is a 400 ton Transport Systems trailer that would go with the Mack M75. Looks just like this trailer in NY but smaller and there is a 300 ton and 100 ton. All made from the same company in Denton, TX.

    • @tedcates4583
      @tedcates4583 Місяць тому +3

      That trailer no, there weren't any scales 12FT wide to weigh it. I pulled a trailer that was rated for 250 tons and it was custom built for Charlie by an outfit in Denison Texas if I remember right. Charlie said he didn't know what that trailer weighed but when you were hooked with the jeep and trailer he would laugh and say there wasn't enough portable scales in the state of Texas to weigh it. Thanks for the memories. I only am in contact with one other driver and will ask him if he ever heard what it weighed.@@LetsFNgo

    Save the trailer please. The three axle dolly has already been lost and the only beam trailer has been rotting away in West Virginia after another company bought it years ago apparently.

    Thay is a very unique and largest lowboy truck trailer combination and it is a very big shock it is being rescued and saved hopefully from the scrap mill. As these unique giants are not being made like they use to. Great video

    In the Mid 90s, I worked at a place in Pennsylvania call Evans equipment. We bought and sold equipment all over the world. One day this massive tank transport trailer came in that was bought at a military auction. It was delivered with a truck that looked exactly like that. It came out of one of the local military bases, possibly Fort Dix. It was absolutely immaculate like they were still using it. The trailer had 28 inch rims on it. The tires were 6 foot tall. The trailer had 2 progressively larger goose neck dollies with wheels to step it up to the hauler truck. I stepped out to lunch and when I got back, it was gone. Seriously regretted not ever getting a picture of it.

    Glad to see this beast going to a good home.
    For those of you who don't know, let me give you some data to fully appreciate the engine in this truck.
    It is a 2 stroke 16 cylinder diesel with 2 superchargers, 4 turbochargers and 149 cubic inches of displacement per cylinder.
    The engine will not run without the superchargers, but the 4 turbo chargers can significantly increase the volumetric efficiency (displacement) under load.
    My Chevy S10 is 2.2L or 134 CID 4 stroke. The crankshaft has to make two full revolutions for all 4 cylinders to make power. 720÷4=180 134÷4=33.5. So every 180 degrees of crankshaft revolution a tiny 33.5 CID piston makes power.
    On this truck, a single piston which is larger than my entire engine (149CID per cylinder) makes power every 22.5 degrees of crankshaft revolution. The 4 turbos can double the displacement under heavy load.
    Wrap your head around that for a minute.
    Awesome! 😮

      hi kevin, thank you very much for this technical information... but, what power does this engine have?

    • @kevinsellsit5584
      @kevinsellsit5584 Місяць тому +1

      @@ericbrisson3925 I don't actually know. We had a 16V 92 in school but have not done many Detroit's since (a couple 4 cyl marine units.)
      All I know is with that big of a piston making power every 22.5 degrees it would be hard to stop.

    • @kevinsellsit5584
      @kevinsellsit5584 Місяць тому +1

      @@ericbrisson3925 From Wiki 20-cylinder version specs...
      "The 20V149 TIB DDEC III SCCC in stand-by generator spec has an output of 2,936 hp (2,189 kW) from a capacity of 2,980 cu in (48.8 L)."
      That is an insane amount of HP because it is at about 2000 RPM Torque would likely be three times that much because the formula is Horsepower is equal to torque X RPM / 5252. So, on any engine the horsepower and torque lines will cross at 5252RPM.

      1,100 hp is what Arcad Sitig always told me. He hauled a lot of loads with it. I believe it was with American Rigging in Dallas...
