    This is a good blow drying tool as it preps the hair for a silky flat press and you won’t have to go over the hair more than once when you do straightening it. These Dyson hair tools for tighter curls are NOT a one a done. You would need to follow up with a straightener. This air straightener is better the air wrap for tighter curls in my opinion.

      See, I prefer the airwrap, but that’s just me. I think it does exactly what they intended. It just isn’t the best product for me, that’s all. 😊 Thank you so much for watching! 😊

      It’s not meant to silk press the hair, it’s meant to blow out the hair really straight and with minimal heat. Dyson never said he was meant to replace a silk press. 😂

    This thing is essentially a blowdryer that gets your hair pretty flat. I'd use it for a step toward straightening my hair. Idt it's a straightener for us. But I'm very intrigued by its design. I think it will improve with more versions. It needs more tension. Your idea to add the chase method was interesting. I'd try that myself!

    • @GleamyGleamyGlamGlam
      @GleamyGleamyGlamGlam  Рік тому +1

      It definitely gets the hair flat, just not in a silky flat iron way. That’s why I mainly did the video bc I think people wanted to know will it replace the blow dryer and flat iron. It won’t if you’re looking for that silky extra straight finish, but it does give you a blow dry finish. The product does what they say except on my ends for me. So, it’s definitely not a bad product and if I already didn’t have the airwrap i may have used this more. But, it probably won’t get used much. Lol

    This is what I was waiting for 😍 👏🏾! I wonder how well it straightens if you blowdry then use this 🤔. I'm trying to decide between the Corrale and this one.

      So, the no heat damage is only for Wet/Dry mode. On just dry mode Dyson doesn’t say there will be no heat damage unfortunately. But, your natural texture is suppose to show through and that’s their target audience. Hope that helps a little and thank you so much for watching! 😊

    Have you ever tried the RevAir? If not, I wonder if you would like that better. Thank you for the review! I just bought this as well and it will be interesting to see how it works on my 4a/b texture. I am not looking for a sleek look though so hopefully it will work for me. I have the RevAir and love it but it's just so loud and bulky.

      @@Iwasonceanonionwithnolayers
      I did a small section this morning and I like it but need to do another test giving myself enough time to thoroughly shampoo and condition. I don’t think I shampooed well enough because the section felt crispy.
      So far the pros in comparison to the RevAir:
      1. Lightweight and much smaller
      2. Dries the roots better
      3. Quieter
      4. You know the temperature (Although, I feel the RevAir does not get too hot at all.)
      5. You can use any product on your hair
      So far the cons in comparison to the RevAir:
      1. Hair not as soft (But I will test it again to be sure.)
      2. Quality control - there were two scratches in the casing (not the plates) which could cause some breakage. I will ask for a replacrment if I decide to keep it though.
      3. It will take longer to blow dry the whole head. But my hair did drpretty fast - it took about 3-4 passes for it to be completely dry but I used a much smaller section in comparison to the size of the sections I use with the RevAir.
      The Dyson straightened just as good as the RevAir does. The real test will be if, after I test it when thoroughly washing my hair, it will feel as soft as when I use the RevAir. If it doesn’t then it’s not worth it to me.

      @@junglette THANK YOU for the details. Seriously! You've really got me thinking 🤔 I bought the RevAir years ago but returned it due to its bulkiness, loudness, and it not really getting my hair as smooth as I wanted. Was planning to repurchase after they worked on it some more. Now, with this coming out, Idk.
      I look forward to seeing more reviews, hearing more opinions, and seeing what Dyson does with the feedback. I really dk

    Thanks for the review! You’re correct, it is for a natural straight look and feel, not a professional blowout style. I k kw your hair needs to be very wet and I can’t tell if yours is or not but also sectioning it helps give it a smooth look. As far as the roots, take your round brush to the roots then continue with the dry. The no heat damage is the real draw, even if I need to use a flat iron to give it that polished look, at least I didn’t use heat to dry and straighten. The dry mode doesn’t use heat either, so it is good for refreshing hair.
    Thanks again for the review!!

      Thank you for the info. 😊 This is just not a one and done for those who want to replace their flat iron and blow dryer. Also, I think people are looking at the price and there are many ways to get 3 and 4 texture hair straighter (if still going to flat iron after) without heat damage that doesn’t necessarily have this price tag. But, it’s definitely geared toward a specific person. Thank you so much for watching! 😊

      @@traciewarren1070 Of course. 😊 It’s a matter of stretching the hair. For example a roller set wo heat or even twisting or braiding your hair to dry. I do that sometimes when I do not feel like blow drying my hair and in the morning I go over it with my flat iron. Hope that helps a little. 😊

    Did you use the highest setting on wet mode? For your hair texture, I would recommend highest setting in wet mode and also make sure your airflow is on high too. (I use Celsius so idk what that is in Fahrenheit) but after about two slow passes, you should then be dry and go into dry mode and select turbo mode to give you a sleek finish and then cold air at the end

    • @GleamyGleamyGlamGlam
      @GleamyGleamyGlamGlam  Рік тому +1

      I started on 239, but ended up in the highest setting. For dry mode, unfortunately the boost did not give me a sleek finish. But, that’s ok. That’s not the goal of the product. It’s to give a natural straight finish. Thank you so much for watching! 😊

      Hi! Thank you, that’s kind of you to say. 😊 I like the airwrap better bc it straightens my ends. Of course the airwrap has other accessories too that I like, but it straightens out all of my hair and then I flat iron it. I think I said this in another comment that if I didn’t have the airwrap i would probably use this more. But, I think the biggest reason one may buy this is bc for wet to dry (not dry mode) it promises NO heat damage, whereas Dyson other hair products promise LESS or NO EXTREME heat damage. 😊 Hope that helps a little and thank you so much for watching! 😊
