Thank you for sharing, Chucci! We appreciate your honest comparison and gorgeous results. While both hair tools do in fact dry and stretch coils, RevAir’s lower temperature and versatility to elongate curls, dry locs/twists is an added bonus. ❤
I have the repair which I love but I feel is not portable. I like how you don’t need to be in front of a mirror. I ordered the Dyson to see if it could be portable and work as well. I feel like your Dyson side looks smoother.
This is one of the best reviews/comparison videos I've seen! I'm expecting my Air Strait tomorrow and you convinced me I made the right choice for mine and my daughter's hair.
The Revair is so bulky and tiring to use, and the maintenance is RIDICULOUS as it has to constantly be cleaned, and even then, the actual hose is not cleanable so you're stuck buying a replacement hose every 6 months or so. 😩 Thats just too much maintenance for semi-straight results. The issue with the Dyson Airstraight is that the hair feels like straw after 2 passes. Even after one pass my 4C high porosity hair feels extremely rough and dry. I tried all 3 wet to dry heat settings. There was smoke all throughout my tiny condo from it. No burning smell, just cloudy, smokey looking air. Also did not get my hair straight. It comes down to health of hair for me, and at the moment, as much as I loathe the overall product, the Revair is winning. 😔
dang, the airstraight makes your hair dry? The revair makes my hair crispy unless I use a heat protectant/serum with silicone, I was hoping that the airstraight would leave softer hair 😢😢
You are right about the straw like texture with dyson. I was so excited but it straightens the hair too much to the point that the ends looks weirdly straight and when you try to give them a bit of wave/shape at the end with a flat iron, my hair wouldn’t bend. Dyson just made the hair crazy straight and stiff. Also I want to try revair because you can do more than straighten hair.
Nice review! It does sound like being able to use more product is a point in dyson's favour - HOWEVER, having a boost mode that is as hot as a flatiron without the silking out seems like a path to heat damage to me 🤔
I feel like the Dyson side is smoother… I wanted to see you go over the Revair side on dry mode with the Dyson - I know that wasn’t the test though. There’s more movement on the Dyson side… I would try different ways to get smoother roots in the Dyson e.g. hold tension on the roots with a brush or comb while drying them.
This was great! Thanks for sharing this. I will be going with the Dyson because it is smaller, lighter weight, and you can use product with it. This was very informative and helpful.
lmbo not the "how's the weather?" anyway, is it just me or did the dyson side look a smidge smoother down the shaft of the hair? and maybe smaller sections with the dyson would gets the roots better? and I'm glad you found the temp for boost mode. another girl I was watching didn't know the temp. I think this is a great review and comparison. you answered all the questions I had. I think for my texture it wouldn't make a difference really so I'd probably want the portability and storage ease of the dyson. Thank you Thank you!
I think the dyson's dry mode definitely comes through for extra smoothing! 😎 And with smaller sections it can get the roots pretty well but I still think the revair beats it in that department because it takes so much less effort. Thank you for watching i am glad i was helpful! 💕
I am UK based and got my Revair a good few years ago because it was being touted as the answer to “handling” natural hair. I found it bulky and heavy and the effort to use it on wash day was too much. Fast forward to June 2024 and I bought the Airstrait for my now relaxed hair. The Airstrait is a Godsend and I cannot be without it. My hair looks salon level every week after I’ve washed it. So having tried both, it’s the Dyson for me forever.
It seems from watching your video that the Dyson keeps your natural hair moisture whilst drying and straightening it. Therefore, your hair looks fuller and healthier with Dyson.
I think the Dyson got a little silkier and smoother after Boost Mode, but before I switched to dry mode Idk I think the results were just so similar, more or less the same.
@@Chucci no even before Boost Mode, I saw it looking smoother but with the Boost even more. Also, the fact the Dyson is so portable makes it get a million points lol
I’m going for the Dyson because I can use oil based products that my hair must use to stay moisturized. I can’t do that with Revair, so the Dyson is better for me.
Awesommmmmmeeeeeee!!!! Thank you, this is mad helpful! So you mentioned that you clean the main part of the Dyson by just wiping the plates. How do you clean the Revair? Can you wipe inside of it?
For the Dyson there are also a couple pieces they want you to wash. In the RevAir you could rough clean the filter and remove the hair but they do say that regular cleaning is important to keep your machine running properly. I'll post the instructional cleaning videos for both! Cleaning the RevAir: ua-cam.com/video/xzznTK0rYvU/v-deo.html Cleaning the Dyson Airstrait: ua-cam.com/video/c1YA8EZQm4Y/v-deo.html
I still like the Dyson side better, it looks shinier and like it has more body. They do both look really good though ❤. The difference isn’t too great…
This is the review I have been waiting for! Your results are great for both. I have the Revair, but the portability of the Dyson is enticing me.
The revair is good but the size for travel is impossible so I bought the airstrait.
Thank you for sharing, Chucci! We appreciate your honest comparison and gorgeous results. While both hair tools do in fact dry and stretch coils, RevAir’s lower temperature and versatility to elongate curls, dry locs/twists is an added bonus. ❤
This is very true! It went over my head that the revair is used for many more styles than just a 'blowout'. It definitely leads in versatility here!

Thank you for this video comparison. Best I’ve seen so far. I’m inching closer to the Dyson mainly because of size. Thanks for this!

So glad to hear from another high porosity, 4c woman. Thank you ❤

Maybe late but when you close the air strait it produces more air and you use the vents to dry your roots first!

That is what I want to see. My hair still reverts work my revair. So I wanted to use the Dyson to make it more straight.
Never heard of the Revair. That machine looks medieval😮. The Airstrait side looks soft and flowy. Silky

Great comparison video. I do see a difference, but Dyson side is better.
Thank u for this great review , I dont mind even less results as long as there is less heat damage , I wish if u concentrated on the heat damage part

I think the dyson side has more moisture because she has more control over knowing when to stop once the hair is dry, and not overdrying.
your voice is so cute 🥰 thanks for the review!
The Dyson is for sure looks silkier and smoother maybe?

Revair also sells Foam Liners for their filters which makes clean up even easier! Just wanted to add that!
Ok. I just came to part one. 😂 Good, helpful videos.

Which felt more moisturized? Did he dyson on dry mode get extremely hot enough to damage hair?
Great video
Thank you soo much 💜
