Personally it's be3n a struggle with both. My,5600x and 3070 should be OK. X Plane 12 has improved for sure. I deleted msfs and just reinstalled it. It's just a frustrating struggle when many other games would be 100fps on my system in 1080p. Dlss doesn't seem to do much as fsr is useless in xp12. Grrrrr Yes we all suffer.
A second window appears. In the monitoring you can select what,you want to be displayed on screen. Scroll through the options then click so a obs displays next.to the option such as fps then click the box to save it then apply. Do one at a time. Hope this helps.
We are using a 3 projector system on a 150 degree screen. We have downloaded your suggested software and whatever setting we put in the frame rate, the side screen readout of XPlane shows 19.9. If we set the new sftware at 20 as you suggetsed, we get a huge amount of stuttering. If we set it to 60 it reduces the stuttering but the side screen frame rate is shown as 19.9 still. Any ideas?
Hi, I'm unfamiliar with mutli,screen setups. Are all screens connected to one GPU? I'm not sure if the way,I,did it can work across a.multu screen setup.,I,would have expected it too, but agai, it'ss unknow territory for me. If you discover an easy answer, please let me know. I'm sure you're not the first to struggle with fps and.multi screen setups. 😀
Hi, I record the flight with msi afterburner stat's displayed. I,put one original track down then I,place a second one over the top. I then edit so only,the details of the second clip show and I can them move them around to where I,want them. I use Davinci resolve to do this. It's really easy. This video had six tracks. One to show the video then the edited overlay. If you want to see it done I,could make a quick #short video. Let me know if it's something,you,wish to do. :)

Riva tuner is part of MSI AFTERBURNER. If you have MSI Afturburner hit the cog on the side and you will be there. no,extra software as it's included. Very useful :)
It's OBVIOUS that it is possible to fix stutters by imposing a max frame limit, but I doubt ANYONE (apart from you) goes as low as 20 as this (for us blessed with vision) is absolutely intolerable and comical. I can not comprehend how you find your "solution" acceptable, this must be like running such titles on a VIC-20 from 1978. Maybe consider upgrading your hardware to something from the current century.
Thanks for your valuable opinion. As time has moved on so has performance. In VR I'm getting 40fps at 25 ms and its butter smooth as well as 60 to 70 at 1080p maxed on my monitor.
Austin needs to fix Xplane 12! The performance is incredibly poor compared to MSFS which is much more graphically intense

when I click on the cog wheel and go to on screen display...my "more" is greyed out...what else needs to be on to get this feature?

Try reducing your resolution to 1080 x 1920 and add 2 or 4 anti aliasing...I get a BIG boost in smoothness and a BIG boost in FPS and it looks GREAT.
