It's such a shame that Alter Bridge doesn't get the recognition it so rightfully deserves, especially for "Blackbird". When it first came out, everyone, literally EVERYONE... every music critic and everyone in both the Rock & Metal worlds were calling "Blackbird" the next "Stairway to Heaven". Their sound, style, and lyrics are amazing, they sound absolutely phenomenal live, and (if you ever get the chance to meet or hangout backstage with them like I did) they are THE sweetest, mostdown-to-earth, kind-hearted people you will meet & I met Pantera when they were still together back in 2001. We cannot deny that Alter Bridge is one of, if not, the BEST rock band within the last (going on) 20 years.

I'm 63 and I recommended Alter Bridge to my 27 year old boss as a good way to start listening to proper music. He said a few weeks later that he hadn't realised it was possible for a human being to sound so amazing. Pay it forward, that's the way.

Hard to decide on a favorite song by them… too many great ones, and it depends on the day. Even their last album Walk the Sky is pretty good and has some really quality work in it.

myles and chris are two of my favorite singers and i cant hate on any of the but myles is better in form of his higher notes he is a tenor and can outsing chis in that area. but chis is able to keep up as a baritone. chris does have alot better low notes and is belive to be a better writer

Listen to his voice in 2004 and now. It doesnt fit NOW. It used to be perfect for the style, like in Metalingus, Blackbird, and all the "old" AB songs or in some of his older bands like The Mayfield Four.

This was released in 2004 when Usher had the biggest hit of the year with ‘Yeah’. Not exactly Shakespeare. Crappy lyrics have always been around. Just like good ones. You just have to dig a bit deeper I guess.
Hace un tiempo no ubicaba a esta banda...por esas cosas de la vida, me puse a ver videos en vivo de bandas de rock, y mientras lo hacía de casualidad oí la voz de este tipo y aluciné, con la potencia de su voz , con su interpretación, con su presencia en escena....en esa ocasión no pude descubrir quien era, porque estaba en un concierto con Slash y no lo nombraban, tiempo después lo escuché nuevamente y descubrí que era el vocalista de Alter Bridge. Demás está decir que toda la discografía de la banda ya esta en mis manos ;)
