Why do you recommend the most "boring" songs to someone who knows almost nothing about Iron Maiden? These songs are great, but they are for fans only. If you are going to recommend the band's music you have to recommend songs like Phantom Of The Opera, Killers, 22 Acacia Avenue, some other hits like Powerslave and Infinite Dreams, but NOT Stranger In A Strange Land.
@@evil_chuck I agree with u abt stranger in a stranger land (good song, but SIT is so good that all songs on this album are above average). I'd say caught somewhere in time is a good song, but I think she needs to react to more live versions. These can not only introduce you good iron maiden songs, but give u a bit of how they look on stage (which is different from any other artist)
I dunno, the solos in this one are pretty darn good. I spent weeks learning them when it came out. Even now I swear 75% of them are burned into my brain.
They had two guitarists at that time - Adrian Smith and Dave Murray. Adrian Smith left in 1990 and was replaced by Janick Gers. Then he rejoined in 1999 together with Bruce Dickinson who left in 1993, but Janick Gers stayed in the band and they became a three guitar band. This song is one of the few songs with just one solo, in this case played by Adrian Smith, who also wrote the song.

This is the second song off their 1986 album "Somewhere In Time". I didn't hear it until 1991 and it was the first Iron Maiden album I ever heard that got me into them. The first song is the title track. That's the song that got me interested. This was the song that confirmed I was now a fan for life. When I finally saw Iron Maiden for the first time 21 years later in 2012 they played this and I had to hold back tears thinking about my journey from my first time to hearing this song to seeing it performed live in person. Later this year I'm seeing them again on "The Future Past" tour where they are FINALLY going to be playing more songs off the Somewhere In Time album as typically this is the only one they ever play from it. I can't wait!
Probably the best band of all time, and they did it all with pretty much no radio airplay. Dudes are still kicking ass to this day. I've seen them live 3 times, and I have to say I've never been to another concert like an Iron Maiden concert. EVERYONE sings along, like literally everyone. This is one of those bands that the live videos are so much better. Definitely check out their Flight 666 Live DVD next, any song from it is amazing. Rime of the Ancient Mariner from that DVD is one of the most epic live performances you'll ever see in your life. It's here on UA-cam.

Hi Bisscute, as an older gentleman, I love your reaction to one of the best group in life! 50 is my age, respect you are hearing my generation! Love you beautiful! Control to you reactions! 🤟🤘💪
Revelations. Bruce's first solo writing credit. It captures the best of his vocals and is a love song of sorts. View the Rock in Rio version where Bruce busts his head open on his guitar and doesn't miss a beat. It probably is the last time he tries to play a guitar on stage.
Rime of the ancient mariner, Caught somewhere in time, Loneliness of the long distance runner, Aces high, Seventh son of the seventh son... are some of my favorites.
Certainly Beast...I think I'm the only Maiden fan who dislikes those other 2, lol, I just think they're boring. Hallowed BTN (#1), Prisoner, Aces High, Wasted Years, and 2 Minutes to Midnight.
Easily among my top 10 favorites of this band...almost in the top 5 ('Hallowed Be Thy Name' is my #1 too). Phenomenal music & singing, and soulful uplifting lyrics in this one, besides the usual blistering, moving solo.
"Revelations", "22 Acacia Avenue", "2 minutes to Midnight", "Stranger in a Strange Land". and "The Evil that men Do" are some of my favorite Maiden songs
That Somewhere In Time album from 1986, wow, I listened to it incessantly on cassette as an 11 year old on my Sony Walkman, it is my favourite Maiden album, sublime from start to finish & Stranger In A Strange Land possibly my absolute favourite but all 8 tracks are top drawer.

Hi everyone. My top two favourite rock bands are Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden without a doubt. Can't rank one over the other. Both are equally fantastic. Gotta love AC/DC too, especially the Bon Scott years.
Most people pick recommendations from the most popular songs, I am an Iron Maiden fan and I love playing their music. The construction of their songs and tunes are both heavy and harmonic. I have (hopefully) all their music, including the unreleased stuff. I grew up in an area that was very traditional and the only music that was on the radio was either pop or spanish, so the only metal we got were either bought or shared by friends. There are a few songs I don't like to play, but over all, I wouldn't skip an album.
Iron Maiden were my favourite band for years, and they're still fairly high on that list. The smile this amazing tune puts on her face is awesome, and mirrors my own (except hers is much cuter).
"Somewhere in Time" is arguably their best album. This song was written by Adrian Smith and was a bit more commercial, more of an anthem than most of their stuff. Still very enjoyable.
That is such a rocking song, not too familiar with Iron Maiden but I love watching reactions to get introduced to new things, and I enjoyed your reaction and energy. Hope your head is feeling better now. If your headache is at least partially actually your neck hurting, head banging can actually help your neck and stretch out your neck muscles.
