That’s cool. My power is different. I will use 2 examples. Sometimes I like to look at UA-camrs I used to watch when I was younger. Two of those that I looked at were WiiLike2Play and Fandroid. I noticed they didn’t have any videos, and they were inactive for a long time. I subbed to them. A day after, they released a video.

"digiluxe... i don't know what that is, but I want to know so bad." so, Digiluxe was supposed to be the north american release of the Bit Generations series, a budget series of GBA games developed by Skip, and considered the precursor to the Art Style series. Boundish is a collection of Pong clones, Chromatron (called Coloris in Japan) is a sort of matching puzzle game, and there's 5 other games in the series too which have some neat gimmicks. The NA release got canned, unfortunately. I presume it's because NOA didn't want to release new GBA games in 2006 or something. A few of the games got ported in Art Style (Intersect, Dialhex, Orbient) and one got a sequel (Dotstream -> Light Trax).
It’ll always stand out to me, as much as I love so much about Ultimate I wish they could have some of the _information_ that Brawl contains. Like, sure, I can accept that they don’t _need_ to bring back personally designing a 3D model for all of these individual minor details of the game. I can accept just slapping a PNG and calling a day. But good _god_ I loved those little blurbs written about _every single piece._ Even the games I knew literally nothing about, flipping through the gallons of information was just a joy.
Smash brawl is still favorite game to date, one attention I always loved is that as you unlock characters they get added to the first few seconds of the official intro showing the lineup

@@EllieMiller510 If you're interested Melee is fun but it takes a lot of frustration, losing and grinding before it gets fun. Worth it if you're willing to put in the time. If you just wanna play casually with your friends and not take the game too seriously then it's pretty fun too.
I would say overall the extra modes are better in Brawl. Maybe Classic mode is the exception because it's pretty interesting how every character has his own route with all the references in ultimate, but I think the one in Brawl (and Smash 4) is more replayable. Also in Brawl it really feels like they had a lot of ideas what they could do, in Ultimate it feels like that's where they cut costs and probably time.
While I love Smash renders, and enjoy that the Spirits are more fully realized stickers, the trophies from Brawl look like they took the model straight from the original game and added the Smash polish to it. Every render since then looks like the "Smash version", which I'm not against (again, they are beautiful works of art), but it made Brawl look so true to itself. A celebration of these characters, whether they were Nintendo or not.
I'm so glad this is getting acknowledged by Scott himself, I'm gonna cry because as a wee kid myself, this was the biggest part of my childhood. I cherished and appreciated every single thing brawl had, all the attention to detail and consideration was mind-blowing and overwhelming to me as a child. It introduced me to so much that I didn't know at the time and is the reason I'm more knowledgeable of Nintendo franchises. brawl really brought out the more ancient and obscure things from Nintendos side of games and history.
The vault was my childhood man. I played that game so much that my coin counter would max out and I’d spend hours on end on that coin arcade game to get trophies.
Brawl has my favorite Smash aesthetic to date. A clean presentation that's intuitive to use and satisfying to navigate. Brawl still feels like a modern game, despite its attempt at futurism (like what most Wii titles had at the time).
Putting these videos on in the background during work feels like my friend came over to play & I have to finish my homework first, but my friend sits with me and keeps me company until I’m done. Keep em coming Scott

Brawl was the Smash game my siblings and I grew up playing together, and watching this really brought me back to those good times. It makes me so happy whenever I hear someone talking passionately about out this game :)
I appreciate the stickers so much more in hindsight, there's something nostalgic over flipping through a scrapbook of old renders. Even though we see them all the time, it's still great to have a virtual collection of them.
I still wish they’d included the Nintendo World 2006 trailer where we got a bunch of new stage reveals, gameplay, and the surprise reveal of... Fox. Still can only watch it in its super-low quality back then. Guess in the era of mobile devices and 4K UA-cam there’s less urgency to include the trailers in-game nowadays, but they were nice perks in Brawl and Smash 4

They were never released in the west formally, the ESRB randomly dropped some ratings for Digilux series indicating we were probably going to get the games but Nintendo of America never announced them. And then the two small games got remade and released in Art Style as dsiware and wiiware. So they themselves was never released but a remade version of them was? The title Digilux without the added series at the end comes specifically from Smash Brothers

I was always extremely bugged by the fact that Brawl has absolutely no reference to Super Mario Galaxy which released months prior, yet does have multiple references to Metal Gear Solid 4, which released later the same year exclusively on the PS3.
It’s actually because Super Paper Mario was the first entry under the Paper Mario title in Japan. The first two games were called Mario’s Story over there.

The most interesting thing about the trophies in this game to me is the kirby section as most of the trophies within it are models that were scrapped from SSE(including blade knight, bronto burt, and bonkers) or models reused from the unused Kirby GCN such as the "Golem" trophies multiple DK trophies were also created specifically for brawl such as Squitter and Expresso as they had no 3d appearance in the post rareware era of DK meaning they had no model created already
One thing that frustrates me about Brawl's vault is you can tell which games they were trying to push/found it easiest to get models from. There are so many trophies from Mario Strikers and DK Barrel Blast because they had come out relatively recently. For as much as we lost in the transition to spirits, I don't mind losing that.
To be fair, why wouldn’t they use those instead making new ones. Saved time and effort for them to work on more trophies too plus the 3d modeling for other new characters.
