  • Part two of my hair color/bleach developer series! In this video, you will learn why a higher volume developer is more damaging to hair than a lower volume hair developer, aka hydrogen peroxide. I give you a couple tips on how to apply a lower volume developer and get the best results possible for your at-home hair dye or bleach job, and some guidance on choosing the best developer volume for your hair! Check below for a link to my first developer video! :)

Firstly, I am so sorry for the delayed response! I had to take a content-creating break and I totally dropped the ball on my comments. New content is coming soon, and I will do my absolute best to reply more promptly going forward. I am going to guess that you have already resolved this issue. BUT the answer is that I am in the process of making some of those videos now!

Why won't it let me "like" the video??? Weird... I appreciate your time in sharing your knowledge with us. Hopefully UA-cam allows this comment to post.

Hi , i have weak hair, and it's black, like very black, and i want to dye it red with a loreal red color. Will it cause hair loss?

My advise is to do a test strand in the back first. So you can see how your hair reacts health wise and visually. Anytime you use chemicals you are probably going to damage your hair some. I don’t think it would cause hair loss but you do run the risk of breakage, especially if your hair is already compromised. I hope this helps. I’m sorry it’s a delayed response. I can’t seem to get my notifications working appropriately. I may just need to check for comments on the daily 🤦‍♀️🫣

My hair lady always colors roots on my dry hair. Is that good or bad?

I typically apply permanent color to dry hair as well, so I would say it's a good thing. That being said we all have different ways to get to the same place. I try not to judge my fellow hair artists :) Thank you for watching and commenting!

Sorry for the delayed response! I should be quick to respond going forward. I am incorporating youtube response time into my daily schedule! Without knowing more about the situation, I would say 10 or 20 vol would be fine. Let me know if this helps and if you have any more questions! Thanks for watching and commenting! Again- SO sorry for the delay- I will be more prompt going forward!

It looks like that brand is designed to be a direct dye where developer is not needed. I have mixed other direct dyes with developers before and it typically works out well. My suggestion is when in doubt do a test strand.
