people should finally realize that over-analyzing simple things doesn't make them intellectuals, jojo is an awesome franchise and it should be appreciated for what it is rather than being over-analyzed, like the Zelda analysts tend to do.
@@ytnukesme1600 that is what Araki does. But please don't meme everything.
I first watched the OVA version of the fight of Jotaro against DIO; I viewed the latter through the former’s perspective- a calm, sophisticated, arrogant enemy to stop for the sake of his mother’s life and to avenge his loved ones- DIO being a crazed monster hellbent on killing him in the most sadistic manner possible was also a big factor. Aside from being a protagonist that needs to defeat the antagonist; there wasn’t anything to connect them on a personal outside of Jotaro’s family, not Jotaro himself. Then I watched the 2010s anime and realized that both were angry young men that were frustrated with the lack of control in their lives with their mothers initially being the only positive thing in their lives. Jotaro having a absentee father who was always too busy for his family- considering what he becomes as an adult, it’s a vicious cycle and that lack of a parental figure to learn from and being smothered by a very clingy mom caused him to become bitter. DIO had an abusive dad that worked his mother, the first person to give him unconditional kindness, to death and continued to abuse him until the boy snapped- causing DIO to go from bad to evil. The big difference is that Jotaro found his positive parental figure in his grandfather Joseph- a man proved to be more of a dad than Jotaro’s own father; and ultimately became at peace with himself. DIO on the other hand, was too emotionally scarred to see anything positive in any parental figure, even the more compassionate stepfather who had the best hopes for him and in spite of gaining more and more power- never truly became at peace with himself- not that it excuses DIO’s irredeemable acts by a long shot.
Grimoire666 Damn. That’s pretty deep about DIO. Too bad he decided to start that path to power by setting Danny f*cking fire. (That quote AntfishTAS made with those being DIO’s first thoughts after his fight with Jonathan is perfect and I now consider that alone canon)
That is a really great parallel between Jotaro and Dio! I kinda got the sense that Jotaro's relationship with his dad was strained/distant from the 2010s show too (and why I like how the group bonded together and Jotaro warming up to Joseph)! ^^
i honestly wish Dio's battle lasted more than 2 episodes though, damn i loved that character so much as well as Jotaro and they both barely got any screen time.
One thing I Love is that Dio died after trying to blind Jotaro, only for him to use the knowledge of stands he'd gained from his journey to see through Star Platinum and win.
I also thought the “you pissed me off” part was because since the stands are the fighters resolve personified since dio has killed all his friends, drained all the blood from his grandfather and cursed his mother, the pure rage and bloodlust powered up star platinum which overpowered dio.
Actually, remember that Dio just healed a injury that not only paralyzed him, but made him feel pain. Coming back from that even if healing with joestar blood (that which is also filled with hamon) made him weaker than Jotaro. If he had gotten away and healed, he would have beaten Jotaro.
Another thing that’s great about Stardust Crusaders is that you’re never really sure if the villain will lose or not. Like in most anime’s or even Jojo parts you can always remember that the hero always wins, but not in SDC, because of the fact that Dio came back from being “dead” in Phantom Blood gives you a sense that he is the real deal, and he might actually have the power to defeat the team. He has menacing aura that he’s proven he’s worthy of, and it keeps you on your toes the whole way through the adventure
Stardust Crusaders is like JoJo's version of Ocarina of Time. It set the grounds for what the series would evolve into and there's so much more beyond than what we see at first. After reading all the way up to JoJolion and going back to Stardust Crusaders you realize a lot more connections and setup for the events of Stone Ocean now that you know everything that happens. Same way you see Ocarina of Time in a deeper sense after playing every game and paying attention to what it did for the overall plot of The Legend of Zelda. Wacky shit

Good luck with the ticket. The world might be a big place but if it's small enough to always meet twice in life then it's maybe also small enough that you win in the lottery :)
Imo the ‘Dio’s World’ arc is the best conclusion to a Jojo part. At least from parts 1-6, since I have yet to touch the alternate universe stuff. Everything just comes to such an explosive, unpredictable and adrenaline-fueled finale, and SP and ZA WARUDO are so evenly matched that it’s impossible to tell which one who will win. And there’s crazy moments left and right, from Dio tossing knives outta nowhere, Jotaro using his stand to stop his frickin’ heart, and of course....ROAD ROLLA DA!!!!! While the outcome was...questionable, to put it at best, I find it pretty fitting from a narrative perspective how Jotaro defeated Dio by invading his world, a place where he thought that he was untouchable before then. Which basically means that while I acknowledge Star Platinum being able to stop time to be an asspull, I honestly couldn’t think of a better and more symbolic way for Jotaro to win. Of course, the finale for part 4 and part 5 are pretty great as well, but after having Dio on the sidelines for a majority of part 3, Dio’s World showed why everyone’s favorite gay (I know he’s actually bi it’s just a joke) vampire is a force to be reckoned with. Also I’d be lying if I didn’t say that part with ghost Joseph passing on the torch to Jotaro got me a bit teary-eyed-
Although I consider part 6 to have the best conclusion to a jojo part, the end of part 3 was what REALLY got me into JoJo and Jotaro vs. Dio is still one of my favorite fights. Just like you described it: it's explosive, unpredictable and keeps you at the edge of your seat all the time. People reduce it to memes nowadays but watching it was really something else.
Steel Ball Run is not only Araki's greatest Masterpiece but one of the greatest works of fiction ever created. Read part 7 you wont regret enjoying the best manga ever made.
I wonder if Jotaro got PTSD? I know he's strong minded, but he still had to deal with his friends dying, innocent people dying, and himself almost dying; the threat of The World and its unbelievable power could have scarred him. I mean, he carries that picture with him at all times, so that is why I think he might have gotten PTSD.

4:18- DIO has gotten more strategic and sociable to seem more charismatic, regal and godlike- but, he hasn’t actually matured from the psychotic young man that hates losing and getting provoked easily- by the end of the fight, he both looks and acts more like a monstrous, teenage punk lunatic than how he was at the beginning of Part 1. Instead of maturing, he’s regressing- while Jotaro matured through his hardships and became a more well-rounded person for it....at least, before we learnt of his friendship with Pucci and his capacity to have children.
I think Araki really just decided that we didn't need another complicated fight for DIO and Jotaro and DIO could just spend some time having an intense fight where they kick the shit out of eachother instead of outsmarting eachother.
One thing i would like to point out is Ep. 1, Part One is titled "Dio the Invader" (or something similar), and the episode in which Jotaro moves in stopped time is titled "Jotaro invades DIO's world" or something similar. Such as how Dio invaded Jonathan's world, Jotaro invades Dio's world.
Were you aware that your King Crimson Requiem video's thumbnail is used in the Google result information about the actual King Crimson song called Requiem?
Kaleb, can you help figure out what that divination technique Narancia was doing is called? I’ve looked everywhere online and have found no results on what it is called and how it works. All I know is that it requires counting the syllables in a person’s name. I just want to know. I need to know. Please?
Part 2 was just Joesph and friends. Even Zeppeli in Phantom Blood had more of an influence than Caesar. Sort of reminds me of Muhammad Ali Jr. in Baki. A character who the author hyped up so much, who then suffers a humiliating defeat in their first fight where it matters the most.
Too bad Jotaru got nerfed like crazy after part 3. Dio said that with practice he can stop time for 30sec, 1min, 1hour...and then for as long as he wanted 😤. I still believe Time stopping is most OP in the series.
Falco Von It makes sense since Jotaro was in his prime in part 3 due to constantly fighting other stand users. As he got older and used his stand less frequently, it’d only be natural that he wouldn’t be as formidable as he was before. Even then, Star Platinum is still a very powerful force to be reckoned with.
The finale of Stardust Crusaders is probably my favourite single arc in any anime I've ever seen. Keep in mind, I haven't watched Part 4 yet, so Bites The Dust might be better.
That Post-Credit thought is why I love anime fights that are done very well. The fighting is like 5% of the actual fight, the other 95% is the mindgames/ intelligence. In Naruto, just about every fight is a fight of ideals; how they want or believe their ZA WARUDO! should change or stay like. And how perspective can change those ideals. In YugiOh, it's almost always a fight of intellect and know-how. Sure there is a form of RNG bit there's RNG in every fight. They usually deal with how important friendship is or even a kid's life or dealing with depression. In JJBA, it's how to make it out alive but also finding an opening, not in punches or kicks, but in words and how they present their stand. When you have a person who's ambition is to rid the world of suffering by kidnapping them and forcing them to live in your ZA WARUDO!, when you have a person who doesn't mind killing people or killing themselves just as long as they get what they want or using 5 cards to basically end your life, and when have someone who has the power to literally stop time...you're going to need a little more than just your fists.

it's so good that it was animated twice
i mean the 1993 ova and the 2014 anime
Kaleb, can you help figure out what that divination technique Narancia was doing is called? I’ve looked everywhere online and have found no results on what it is called and how it works. All I know is that it requires counting the syllables in a person’s name. I just want to know. I need to know. Please?

DAMN LOOK AT THAT TRANSITION
My favorite and best arc in jojo

End of stone mask trilogy.

What about a hol horse vs mista video?

When you realize it, just because a carrage driver couldn't do his job, the universe got rested...
I’m sitting on the toilet taking a poop
Facts😂😂
The last episodes of part 3 saved the part for me. Part 2 was just so good that stardust crusaders couldn't live up to it until the ending.
kanedgy Completely agree. I felt like Araki really got a hold on Hamon in part 2, but didn’t really know how to deal with stands for most of 3.

Nice
This makes me wanna go around the World and place jojo Easter eggs like for example narancias death or ndoul’s Stock
Jotaro and Dios battle was about who could outbamboozle the other and that's why it was brilliant and my fav
It blows my mind whenever i think that the dio that jotaro faught has already met pucci and spent years with him😂
Polnereff always fights an enemy he cannot see. And his leg is always getting hurt.
Say what you will about this fight it will always be my favorite fight in all anime and manga.
And in the meme history as well...
I still sort of hate it.
As long as you keep making videos we’ll all keep on watching bb 😏
Too bad Jotaru got nerfed like crazy after part 3.
Dio said that with practice he can stop time for 30sec, 1min, 1hour...and then for as long as he wanted 😤.
I still believe Time stopping is most OP in the series.
Falco Von It makes sense since Jotaro was in his prime in part 3 due to constantly fighting other stand users. As he got older and used his stand less frequently, it’d only be natural that he wouldn’t be as formidable as he was before. Even then, Star Platinum is still a very powerful force to be reckoned with.
The most op stand in the series is either GER or Tusk act 4
@@unponderable8143 Ticket to ride/D4C love train used competently?
@@siren_atlantica Tusk act 4 can trap D4C forever, and GER will do what GER does
@@unponderable8143 do you think GER can beat the Love Train wall?
He's carrying the weight of ZA WARUDO and lifting the weight of road roller
The finale of Stardust Crusaders is probably my favourite single arc in any anime I've ever seen. Keep in mind, I haven't watched Part 4 yet, so Bites The Dust might be better.
It's like how Wamuu said the outcome of fights are determined before they begin quoting Sun Tsu
8:30 actually his one mistake was kicking with his left sode knowing it was weaker than his right
