Do you do speed drills on X Factor days? You’re doing ~ 6 X Factor drills on X- Factor day? Thank you!
@@CarolineTravis We do “alternate speed drills”.
We do 5-25 x-factor drills. Variability is key.
Thanks, very informative. How about core training? Do they need one? Is there any explosive core training for rotational youth athletics?
Sprinting is the best core exercise I know.
@@coachtonyholler Great! Thanks
@@coachtonyholler u say in the weight room the best exercises are pull for sprinters in 5.23 of video. U sure?
@@samserwadda253 for the arms, yes. Key arm action is down and back, not punching forward.
Hi coach, about the 7-10 days break after mesocycle, do you mean every 4 weeks they take 7-10 days break? And they do this always every 4 weeks? Or i got it wrong
@@SunOmega We don’t schedule breaks but we use natural breaks in our calendar. Christmas & Spring breaks.
So is that 3 reps EACH of 40 yd dash and fly 10's, or 3 total? I 40 and 2 10m flys?
3 total
For a pure 100/200 or long/triple/high jumper who needs no lactate (like 23 second drill) workouts, they get the hormonal boost of lactate work and also the cardiovascular health and recovery of aerobic work purely from the incomplete recoveries of X-factor work, is that correct?
That’s how I see it.
How many 40 yard sprints should you be doing?
3
super
Coach! X-factor day lunges - could you explain the exercises? What are the variations? Thanks.
Long Lunge, Rocket Lunge (leg snaps through), Lunge Pop-Up, Reverse Lunge
@@coachtonyholler - Much appreciated! 👍
wow
Could you give me a sample schedule?
Speed, X, Speed, X, 3 days off.
@@coachtonyholler Thanks!
@@coachtonyhollerWhat days would be the best days to implement fast twitch lifting
@@LucasHoltz-zd2bi speed days after speed work
Why don’t you do 20 and 30 meter dashs?
Don’t get you to top speed. CNS remains unchanged.
@@coachtonyholler Great, so we can do these going up hills?
