Tony I can’t thank you enough. Last year I took MYSELF with YOUR training model from 20.9- to 23.3 MPH in 3 months. (A lot of it was my mechanics). You have helped a lot of people reach their potential, just wanted to say thanks for what you do!
Yes!! Been on this boat since the day I began training my kiddo in soccer!! The recovery is so important for quality training!! Now you have completely ignited the flame of training to Be The Best You!! Thank you again for the science! Feed the Cats!! And for teaching me to be that much more better!! With less!! Winning🏆Oorah!!
CHRIS spent his life in northern Illinois and Chicago area. I spent half my life is Harrisburg IL, 20 miles from Kentucky. Also 2004-2006 in Franklin TN.
I’m a wrestler but also a track sprinter will feed the cats still be beneficial for my cardiovascular endurance then biking for 30 minutes because I know you say speed kills
Probably not but I would train 10m block starts as they are almost identical to a shot in wrestling. Try 25 second high intensity scrambles with a 1-2minute rest for 6 reps per session.
Coach, i am a 21.5 second 200m sprinter, and in the 23 second endurance session, I jist can't ever sprint fast as possible. In the 3x200m session, my time is always no better than 24.5 seconds no matter how hard i try. But my 200m in competition is way faster. Could you advise me on this? Is it normal or should i try to sprint atleast 95% of my 200m pb in the endurance session?
We never truly know the answer to that question. X is the alternative to a day off, so by definition, it’s minimal… DON’T BURN THE STEAK. IMO, a day off is incredible. 4 day work weeks accomplish more than 5 day work weeks. It’s very possible that 3 day work weeks (including games/meets) will accomplish more than a 4 day work week. Your question is probably answered best by saying… some kids will benefit more from off days and some won’t… but I lean towards more off days.
Hello, it looks like doing many dash repetions is not much use, isn't it? What about 30m x 3-4 or 50m x 4-6 times? Sorry but my english is not one of the best.
Better to sprint first and then go lift, this would keep the neural fatigue workouts to the same day which will allow you more rest days before the next session.
Its a change in mindset, I think we use the wrong descriptions. Instead of "less" vs "more" I say "quality over quantity"
more isn’t better. It’s hard to get your head around at first. Training for speed involves a lot of resting. Love it.

Thanks Coach Tony. Grateful!
Interesting, Calvin Dietz said recently in a podcast that he sprints his athletes everyday. 6 sprints each day.... I wonder why....
Love it, Coach!!
This was awesome, thanks!
Tony, why does Chris have a very different accent to you, even though you're both from the same state?

Mr. Holler,
Can you take the same principles you have and apply it to hill sprints?
4-5 second bursts.
100%

For the shock jump thing, does the box need to be lower that your vertical jump? Or what’s the standard here?
Need to ask Chris.

200 should be 200 PR plus one sec. The 2nd PR +2, 3rd PR +3.
@@coachtonyholler And the rest duration between reps?
@@danikhan1411 ENOUGH to do next thing.
@@coachtonyholler so the rest is not 4minutes between reps?
@@danikhan1411 sorry I though you were asking about x-factor. Yes, 4 min.
So if I am not giving complete rest days and am doing x-factor (often jumps/plyos) work on the days between sprinting days, am I harming kids speed?

I am 100% feed the Cats
😃😃😃
But this presentation for me is
A little confusing 😕
Still support Chris Korfist
how can I find DB Hammer book
Don’t think it can be found. Chris sells some correspondences I think.
is there a way i can apply this science to a basketball player? i have my own ideas just wanted to hear yours Coach!

Sorry but my english is not one of the best.
We never do more than 3.
@@coachtonyholler Allow me, is it any good doing, for example, 50m x 5, let say at 80% of speed?
Is it fine I lift in the morning before school but after school I sprint and do my plyos?
Not best but it might work fine. When you time stuff, you learn stuff.
Better to sprint first and then go lift, this would keep the neural fatigue workouts to the same day which will allow you more rest days before the next session.
I’m a freshman and opened my season 400m whith a 56.50 I train whith endurance days 1 time a week is that ok?
We do no true endurance work.
Would you still want to address all three qualities, if you know you need work on let’s say magnitude, just have a little more attention in that area?
Sure. But with groups, we teach generally and to the norm.
I prefer Anaerobic 0 system training
Thanks for sharing.
