And he is wrong, he actually ruined Star Wars. All George had to do was to tell his story, not what others tell you what to do. He was a huge BETA! He gave in. Just like when a business goes bad, you blame upwards not downward. You do not blame your employees you as the top guy are the one who is to be blamed for failure, just as if Star Wars was successful I’m sure he would of not have no problem taking the credit for success. He let the fans push him, he is a bad business man. It’s all George Lucas fault.

Michael Price Here is a quote from The Lord of the Rings, a quote that is both in the book and film. It greatly summarizes Tolkien’s philosophy on the purpose of worthiness of storytelling, a philosophy that Lucas seems to share:
“It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going, because they were holding on to something. That there is some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for.”

Say what you want about the prequels but I loved them, and in some ways I loved them even more than the original trilogy (and I grew up with the OT). Maybe I was just at the right age or something but I never had any issues with young Anakin, I mean he's a kid, what were people expecting from him. Also I don't see how he's the main character of that movie, I'm more of the opinion that Obi-Wan Kenobi is the main character of episode 1.
Anyways the prequel trilogy did a ton of world-building, and actually spent some time letting us get to know that world, even as a kid I found the whole politics aspect of the whole thing to be quite interesting and a completely different story.
That's why I would have wanted Lucas's sequels, maybe not all of his ideas are great but dammit he can still tell a good story. The whole overarching story of the prequels is great, the ideas, the world, the themes, and the spectacle that actually has substance. The whole idea of the microbiotic world etc does sound somewhat silly but I'm damn sure it would still have been entertaining as all hell.

I totally agree. Anakin was not the only main character of Ep I. The story was followed by Qui Gon and Kenobi. IN my opinion, it is an underrated film that should be looked back and seen differently. Of course, we could of seen less of Jar Jar and the whole medichlorine thing was the scientific explanation of the force. A video created by Film THeory actually theorized that medichlorines is not the force itself but more like blood vessels that increased one's connection of the force depending on the number of medichlorines they had. George Lucas in an interview stated this. Though, this could have been explained or explored better in AOTC or ROTS or even in the first prequel film. I would rate it a 7/10 and I still love it.

But now that came TLJ and Rise of Palpatine , and Abrams doesn't bring nothing New to the lore, ST is really losing money the fans will not going to support nothing about the era of Resistance of the new canon and now the fans are complaining about the trilogy Lucasfilm and the media are calling every body sexist and racist and making the problem worst . Now that sequel trilogy come and gone a great opportunity has been lost and worst ST is losing money and the fandom thanks to Kk, Jar Jar Abrams ,Ruin Johnson , and The toxic fans of the last 20 years whom insulated GL but , as you said all this need to happen to GL and Prequel have been reinvicated and through ep 9 will gain money the trilogy will not gonna to grow in the fandom nor any of of its merchandise will gonna sold.

The world-building and philosophical ideas are all interesting and the overall story is tragically beautiful. The execution of it all just falls a little flat sometimes. And the acting/writing can be pretty weak. But I appreciate the prequels, because say what you want about them, they are one man’s true vision. And I respect that way more than a couple of Disney cash grabs. (Even if I did like The Force Awakens and loved The Last Jedi.) He wrote the script for the entire prequel trilogy and since he is not great with dialogue, it makes the trilogy suffer quite a bit in execution. The Disney sequels really feel like they lack the imagination and creativity that Lucas brought with both of his trilogies. Chock-full of shabby writing and various narrative issues as they were, I always find myself enjoying the prequels just because of how rich and lively the worldbuilding is; it almost feels like a real universe with real, breathing characters. And I'm sure the OT would be just as lively if it weren't for the technological limitations of the time, but nonetheless it still has the same spirit. Disney, however, couldn't capture that same magic, and the sequel movies feel empty and so much less alive because of that.

Its ludicrous to say it should have been Lucas when Lucas sold SW’s and Lucasfilms precisely because he did not want to do the sequels. He said he was too old and wanted to make other kind of films and he was getting old and that the sequels would take ten years. Go watch Lucas’s Charlie Rose interview. He literally said he did not want to produce ‘popular’ films he wanted to make films he liked.🤷‍♀️ If he really cared about his SW’s legacy he would have kept creative control in his Disney contract and he didn’t, he literally relinquished everything! I think Lucas should never have sold SW’s. Never! So I agree with you in sentiment but it was Lucas who left SW’s unprotected.

I'm 58. Stars Wars (and George Lucas) created a Beatlemania-level frenzy in 1977. What else can one say? We exist in a real life world wherein the Original, Prequel and Sequel trilogies are going to have to be recognized as essential connections to one another. Flawed. In places unresolved. At times infuriating. But - taken as a whole - we have to be grateful to Lucas for ALL NINE as they enhance the canvas of our lives. SciFi is cool...because of G.L.

The Disney "episodes" are not Star Wars.
George Lucas didn't just sell Star Wars to Disney. They adopted his estate under contract if they took care of his legacy. They failed with the "episodes".
Disney should have used the Bantam Spectra Books Star Wars Novels as screenplays and DEL REY Publications Star Wars Encyclopedia, First Edition, as a bible of sorts. They still can, remedy this debacle.
