A few suggestions to add to your box, but you may have them packed elsewhere. A few extra ziploc bags. They always come in handy. A plastic table cover. A contractor bag or 2. Sheets of aluminum foil. I cut them into 1 foot sections. I store them on a plastic folder, with the ziploc bags. The folder can be used as a cutting board and is handy in fanning a fire. I also have 2 of those thin flexible cutting board sheets. Cut to size, to fit in the folder. I place the folder on the side.
Both great items to add to the Kitchen Box. I usually care ziploc bags and aluminum foil in my "Pantry Pack" that has my dry goods and oil for pan and pie iron cooking. Thanks for watching and for giving me some more ideas on what needs to go in the Kitchen Box.
A few weeks ago I started preparing for the 1st camping trip for my 3 year old golden retriever. I have a small teardrop trailer and I just needed more organization before getting to the campground. Your video inspired my preparation. Initially I bought a much shorter Ridgid box with the notion of being able to keep it under the lid of the trailer's clam shell door. Unfortunately it didn't quite allow me to shut the lid. Since size no longer was a concern I purchased the box which you showcased. I attached these Ridgid boxes together and am very happy that I purchased both as they fulfill different roles and are easier to organize. In the small box there is an orange closed storage tray in which I have used for my silverware and small kitchen items. I also have used one of the dividers that came with the small Ridgid box to contain an area in which I am storing my spices very neatly. In the big box I didn't get the gear loft until I was on the road. I also used the same glue you were using. I glued a couple corners before it started to rain. I then started to panic as I discovered how slowly the glue set up.🤪 The rest of the night I kept it in my car out of the rain. I also bought one of the bush pots that you use and it is super nice. I'm anxious to get out camping again soon. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
Nice, I like the look of that. All arranged on one box. In my backpack I carry a 2pack of 12"x15" 0.5mil plastic kitchen cutting mats. At only 0.5mil width they are easy carry and super light and gives me 2 large clean surface areas to prep and cut food in the field and be much cleaner. They can be had in various sizes, they're inexpensive and they make food work on benches, tables, or in the bush far easier and clean
That is a well-thought-out camp box.. I do agree with the gentleman who mentioned the Ziplock bags. You can never have enough of those... excellent idea marking your windscreen. I have to do that to mine... on a side note I never seen anybody load up their gear so fast. Nice job... I really enjoyed your video. Until the next one
Thanks Bob. I agree as well and have already placed some ziploc bags in the box. I also added a few larger kitchen garbage bags (13 gallon) for handling a group campouts garbage needs.
When I get home from a campout all my cooking gear that was used gets scrubbed and run through the dishwasher. It might be overkill, but I like taking care of my gear. Thanks for watching and the comment.
I've used ridgid boxes for years for lots of stuff. I upgraded my tailgate / overlanding setup to the newer XL Box with Dolley and Cold Chest. They make good seats too.
That's some organized packing you've got going on there 👍. I've started using Eylar 50L (stackable/lockable) gear boxes for our squaredrop camping. 4 boxes, all different colors, to differentiate between which box contains what gear/stuff.
Great video! I have a similar set up using the Walmart Hart system. I appreciate the pace you used in going through everything with us. Thanks for sharing, I’ll definitely be subscribing
I went to the Rigid system as well but I haven't figured out how to cut it down to one box! LOL, I like your idea of putting everything in their own bags with nothing loose. Thanks for that tip! I like the netting in the lid. Could you post the link to that?
The bags for the cooking kit are a game changer for me. My friends always comment on how nothing falls down when I remove my cook kit bag. The net I got on Amazon. Here is the link. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09YN8S97N
Loved your vid. I too have the rigid box butthe way you set yours up is awesome! Thanks for ideas. I would like to see whats in your possibles kitchen orange bag. 😁👌🏽
Wow, man that’s a hell of a great idea! I keep all of my crap In those big ol totes you get at Walmart or wherever, I love this idea way more, stackable and easier to organize and move.
I admire your efficiency. I use a Ridgid stack for my chuck box, but the extra room in my trailer has spoiled me. I seem to carry everything like I’m at home.
I like the net on the lid. I know you said can do the plate as a frying pan but it seems like you have more than enough pots / cups. Maybe swap some out for an actual frying pan?
Very cool idea ! I use the Rigid Modular system for my camp gear as well. However, I haven't thought about using one just for my cook gear. I think I might be stealing this idea... :D
It has become a lot simpler to camp with only one box instead of all three. I never could remember what was in which box and sometimes didn't even need what was in the other boxes. I still plan to build out my other boxes, just need to determine what goes in which box. The small thin box will probably end up with all my camp lights and other comp comfort items. Thanks for watching and feel free to use any of my ideas, that's why I share them on UA-cam.
I did a review of the bags. Links are in that video description. They are great for keeping things organized and preventing dirty pots and pans from getting the rest of the kit dirty. ua-cam.com/video/EtTvdvmr1E0/v-deo.htmlsi=tJzaEQHgh2M9SEXL
Inside the Orange bag inside my kit along with my cutlery, I have a Victorinox telescopic fire fork for over the fire cooking as well as a couple of the Light My Fire Grandpas Fire Forks that can be attached to any green stick. I might have a obsession with roasting a brat over the campfire for a late night snack. I might have to do a review of what is in my Kitchen Possibilities Pouch. Thanks for watching and the comment.
The adhesive I use is E6000 Eclectic Products inc. Plus Multi-purpose Clear Glue. It is still holding well. I got it off Amazon. a.co/d/htahvOk The tripod is a screw together pot hanger for over the fire use. It works well for hanging a pot of stew or my percolator. It is similar to this one on Amazon. a.co/d/1Kaeinz
Mine is the version 1 of this box, but it is the same size as the new version. It is available through Home Depot. Here is the name and model number. Ridgid 2.0 Pro Gear System 22 in. Modular Tool Box Storage Model#: 254067
I have added a list I am working on for all the items and links to them. Let me know if I missed anything, it is a work in progress. Thanks for watching and the comment.
If I am hauling the kitchen box out I bring a Coleman 2 burner stove (propane or white gas depending on the weather). Sometimes I use a GasOne type stove if I am solo camping. The MSR stove is there as a backup or if the weather is bad (raining or snowing) and I want to make something in my tent.

It’s been doing great. No issues with water getting in. My last campout I drove home through a rain storm with it on top of my car in the cargo basket and everything was nice and dry inside.
@@BarnYardOutdoors cool. I have the same modular system, albeit, with a different name on it for the European market, which I bought for a camp kitchen. However, before I ever got round to seeing how water resistant it was, I ended up buying a couple of pelican cases second hand but unused. I'm still quite keen to use the modular system for camping though.
I'm going to give this video a no thanks. Everything in the box is brand spanking shiny new. Use it every other weekend for 5 months and get back to me.

just picked up my box. time to fill it up.
Very, very nice kit. Love that mesh loft!! The Sea to Summit Collapsible mugs are great…fold flat for the loft!! Nicely done!
looks good, interested in the other boxes your putting together.

I use the same thing but I have the wheeled cart version! Game changer!!
I have been using that same box for my duck blind kitchen 👍
great gear box vid and solid setup. Definitely picking up some of the things in this video!
I loved this video and plan on implementing this to my outdoors survival package. Really well done video and I THANK YOU!

Nice.. I like the box and the set up. Those boxes aren't badly priced either.
Thanks for the video brother
Thanks. I got the box during a post Thanksgiving Holiday Sale. They usually have great deals on them at that time of the year.

I will have to do a video on that possibilities bag. Plus I am planning on a video of my Pantry Pack (Bag). Thanks for watching and the comment.

Hi, can you share the link for the gear attic netting you used?

Thank you!! Super helpful video!
All kinds of nice goodies!
I like your frying pan setup. Do you have a link to the grill grate that you had in the bottom of the frying pan?
Sure. That’s the Pathfinder 8 inch Broiler Rack. You can find it here: www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/products/pathfinder-broiler-rack
Great video.
Thanks!

Great looking setup 😁 A couple of items I have with my kit is the collapsible toasting forks. The ones I have are made by Robens.

Thank you. That's the one I bought.
I love the cargo net idea. What adhesive did you use? I use the Rigid system too. Also what is the brand collapsible tri pod you showed? is it stable?

Nice load out and cool idea for the mesh gear attic! Out of curiosity, how is the adhesive glue holding up several months later?
Still holding up well. I have not had any issues.
Great video lots of stuff do you have a link for that mesh add on??
2 Pack Universal Mesh Cargo Net,BetterJonny Stretchable Elastic Automotive Cargo Nets with 8 Pieces Mounting Screws and Hooks for Car Trunk Storage Mesh Pocket Net(Black) a.co/d/fqtsduq
the screws used to apply the netting to the top of the box didnt go through the lid?
I did not use the screws, I used some super glue designed for adhering plastic to plastic. It has held up well and I have not had any issues.
@BarnYardOutdoors oh awesome cuz I have the ridgid boxes and I love your idea!
Didn't see the stove for the can of propane which appeared at 5:50 ?
That stove is stored in the lid, It is the MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe. You can see that at 11:01 in the video. It uses the IsoButane Stove Canister
Hey Chris do you have a model number on that box? I like the idea, and bought one but I think it's smaller than yours.
Mine is the version 1 of this box, but it is the same size as the new version. It is available through Home Depot. Here is the name and model number.
Ridgid 2.0 Pro Gear System 22 in. Modular Tool Box Storage
Model#: 254067
What size is your box? When I look on Amazon, they are only offering one size and it definitely looks like a different size than yours.
I know they have some new boxes. Mine is the 22 inch box. In the old and the new stackable system the box I use is the middle of the sizes.
I like that mesh idea can you give us a link or brand name
This is the one I got from Amazon. a.co/d/9hBoiSI
@@BarnYardOutdoors thank you
I have to ask what type of adhesive did you use to attach that netting?
I used E6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive. Something we had around the house we got from Amazon. It works really well.
Could you please add a list of links to the things you have in the box?
I have added a list I am working on for all the items and links to them. Let me know if I missed anything, it is a work in progress. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Did I miss a regular type stove? Or, do you cook with just the Poclet Rocket?
If I am hauling the kitchen box out I bring a Coleman 2 burner stove (propane or white gas depending on the weather). Sometimes I use a GasOne type stove if I am solo camping. The MSR stove is there as a backup or if the weather is bad (raining or snowing) and I want to make something in my tent.
Wish you provided links to the gear

How are you finding it for water proofness 5 months in?
It’s been doing great. No issues with water getting in. My last campout I drove home through a rain storm with it on top of my car in the cargo basket and everything was nice and dry inside.

Looks to be very "practical" to me. Thanks.
"Coffee to share"? You're just too "practical"! LOL!
I like everything but putting on the car rack. That is a BEACON for theft. It is only a matter of time.
I agree. I only have it up there when I am driving to a campsite and take it off when I setup camp. Thanks for watching and the comment.
I'm going to give this video a no thanks. Everything in the box is brand spanking shiny new. Use it every other weekend for 5 months and get back to me.
How do you get out every other weekend??? I'm not being snarky, I'm serious. I'm doing good to get out a few times a year.
