I would triple the worth of an album if it always came with behind the scenes footage of the creation process, the artists playing around with the chords till they find it. This is amazing to witness
@@popsingerstar - LMAO. You lunatic types kill me. YOu literally see the song was structured before he knew it existed, with the producers writing it, and you still fantasize about it being about his ex-GF. Just strange.
This footage is so rare! When do you get the opportunity to see an ICON in their creative state, much less their entire recording process. I don't know where you got these videos from, but thank you. I love Justin Timberlake so much and this is gold.
@53:34 when he FINALLY tells him to add "girl" into the chorus, my heart leapt because that made it flow so perfectly and i always loved this hook because of its smooth vibe. whew, this is great
This was genius and beautiful to see/hear. What a great collaborative effort from everyone. "Still on my brain" is so underrated. This session pretty much stamp the fact that Justin Timberlake truly is Michael Jackson's successor. Those vocals... I think when one of the guys said he knew only 1 guy that could sing that he probably meant Michael Jackson.
sounds so raw and present coming out of the studio monitors, not yet mastered et cet. i kinda prefer it, tho understand the need to universalize and tame the production before sending it out into the world.
25:02 - 25:16 - And 5 yrs later she’d become a pop culture phenomenon. the notorious K. I.M 😂 Wonder why Justin asked that, hmm wonder if they ever briefly hooked up 🤔
That is how it is in the studio. Sometimes the Artist gives you enough to go on. They know what key they wanna sing in, they just need us [The Producers] ARRANGE, to refine it, and polish it, which is part of the job.
I think the pattern he created was great and funky and shows that he' has natural rhytm, but the sounds that he used weren't very good which kind of ruined it. Remember that this was probably like the first time he tried to do something like that, though...
I love how this is just home movie style, no edits, not professionally produced. What a gem of videos

Imagine if Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones had videos like these. THAT would be MINDBLOWING!!
I loved clips with Pharrell, but this really opened my eyes to the Underdogs. Dame Thomas on the keys = butter
I wish he would record footage like this every time he goes in the studio

This is music. Artist and producers don’t put this much heart, soul, passion and effort into their craft.
not anymore.
