Most people are decent at evaluating risks from their front, but they're often blind to their sides. They'll stand motionless on a street or in a hallway to take a shot, with an open door or a window 20 feet away on their right or left sides. It doesn't even occur to them they're in danger because they're focused on only what is directly in front of them. Never stand out in the open anywhere. Hug the walls, mold yourself to the terrain, use cover at all times. It's kind of like being a cat. If you watch a stray cat roaming around the neighborhood, he rarely stays out in the open or moves in a straight line; instead, he skulks around on the sides of things, underneath things, he's always near a potential hiding place, and he stays aware of what is happening 360° around him at all times, always alert to a potential attack.
How it feels when I play: Fire an entire magazine into an enemy as assault - enemy damaged 2 He then turns round and one bangs with me with the Hellriegel, proceeds to gun down half my team and caps 3 points.
Jo Nguyen just keep playing when you make a mistake and die remember what was your mistake, you will use to it and remember it in the third, fourth time. GL
The last point is so important. It pisses me off so much when your team have an excellent start to a game of conquest, capturing the first three of five flags. Instead of moving forward to cap the fourth flag, it's so important that the team dig hold the objectives they've got for a short while before advancing, or to at least spread out longways rather than changing forward. The amount of times I've seen my whole team run like sheep toward the enemies' base objectives and then we loose all of ours because of a few enemies that have snuck around the back.
The only BF1 tip on how to stay alive longer and not die you'll ever need to know...do what every other person does and equip a sniper rifle and find the farthest hill from the objectives and lay down. Do not, and I repeat do not, play the objective, resupply your teammates, revive your teammates, follow squad orders, or run with your squad. Then and only then will you be a true BF1 player.
Great tips... I'd add 'don't hide in the corners of rooms', it is where I know that I look first for enemies when entering a building. They are always in the corners ;)

Im going to be honest one of the best things you could do is make friends with a good player and play in his squad, use a mic and communicate you’ll learn so much more, I know everybody wants to be hero and run and gun but in war you have to take cover, be strategic and be ruthless soldiers
This game is so immersive that you forget you’re not in an actual war. It’s so satisfying when you’re playing and the defense is giving you a hard time and you’re down to your last 20 respawns and just before you finish that battalion you get that last objective.
I've had one game recently where we had only one respawn left when we won. I'm not kidding. When we were down to about 10 I thought we had lost the game. When I last died a fraction of a second later, I didn't respawn and boom,we won. Without me on the field but hey...
@@JamesZ32100 well COD teaches how to do it. I think this "don't sprint around corners" is totally wrong. Yes, you're likely to run into enemies, but it's a kind of high-risk high-reward thing, which you can only really do most effectively if you have good aim and have a lot of experience with prefiring/preaiming. I guess one tip is to use a high-firerate weapons and ensure you can control the recoil. Preferably not an LMG since you're too slow with them. I can usually take out up to 2 or 3 enemies if I know enemies are around a corner and they don't know I'm there. You just have to use the best full-auto weapon for you, and master it as well as you can. Past a certain point you'll start to notice that with good positioning and by being unpredictable, over 50% of your enemies will start to crumble.
this is the main reason why i love watching your videos. you don't say any bad words. that speaks itself about you and your cultural level. i haven't seen any other youtuber playing more than 3 minutes without saying some strong words
How to stay alive: Be a noob and camp with your trusty sniper and throw nades to your heart content and when playing as medic never try and revive someone as you may die and when you do die but you shouldn't hold the respawn button as quick as possible
Thanks for the tips, I definitely sprint too much and round corners like a blimp. I also catch myself standing in windows too long looking for something to shoot out; inevitably someone finds me standing there first :(
I’m fucking bad at battlefield 1! Not at the game, but I feel to much empathy. When I look at the bottom of the scoreboard, and I see one guy with 13 deaths and 3 kills, I really feel bad, because I’ve been there once, and I know how he might feel. I once killed a guy and then just sat still, and let him come kill me. It’s really a problem, but it’s probably just me, who can’t let it go and say: “It’s just at game.” So to any who’s having a hard time playing; take it easy, learn from your mistakes, and go on. You’ll get better, don’t worry. I can already here people calling me a pussy.

thebrokenmachine I had a look at your settings video for bf1 and I would like to thank you for it, it helped me out so much I'm now able to get over 20 kills every game not always a good kd but my game play had improved dramatically and I just wanted to thank you, keep these videos coming because they are so helpful and I enjoy watching the streaks man. once again thanks
I keep dying. 4 mates in front of me in plain sight. I'm half covered behind them. Bam, shot. Also why don't people spot. My mini-map is empty, no red dots there. Highly frustrating game. Also when I hit someone a couple of time in the face he still kills me. WTF?
a good tip is it's ok to remain hidden and wait for the enemies to leave a capture point so you can sneak in and the it. this week also allow you to get in to a good defensible position on the flag.
This video makes so much sense... When I’m playing at my best all this is coming natural to me but when I’m trying to rush my k/d goes to shit... Can you make a video where you talk about what is going through your mind while you’re playing? I know it would have to be a lot slower paced than normal but I think it would help a lot of people...
Dank Bleach you'll learn other tactics as you play yourself. I started bf 1 with a 3k/d, now I average at 6. which is pretty good .4k/d and playing the objective is about where you want to be .
Another thing that helped me is don't aim down the sights every time you fire the weapon. I noticed you hardly ever do that in close quarters fights, since I stopped doing that I have been much better at winning gun fights.
It's so funny I'm looking at this video because everything you said I'm doing lol I had an awesome game today (by my standards) I had 36 kills with 27 deaths and over 21,000 points for the game if I can just reduce my deaths I'd be happy
You have no problems doing kills and moving around because 36 kills is good for a game. Your K/D reflects that you were mostly trying to capture flags or do things no matter what the situation in the zone was. Staying alive longer can reward you more points instead of rushing certain death but point rewarding situations since it gives you time to think, flank, kill and capture in the end. I have also noticed that making points is not necessarily good for the team if you're not doing much. DICE doesn't reward you if you stayed outside a capture zone helping the ones capturing it (Laying supressing fire, tanking, laying mortar rounds on an area, reconnaisance or whatever), but you were being really useful there. Remember, dying destroys the opportunity to do more for the team, kill more and make more points.
Try find a server with mostly noops.. kill as many as possible to increase ure k/d ratio! How u tell noops? They panic all the time.. they either freeze or unload a magazine on u but realized none hits u!!!
i know this video is old and you won't see it but these vids are awesome dude. your content is the best and i love the way you handle your bf gameplay. keep it up man!
Badjangasse Produções ,true that. I got a nasty message from a guy I knifed. We're all playing battlefield, we're shooting each other, it's what we do. Don't know why he took that personal
Badjangasse Produções I'm yet to get a message, and I'm disrespectful as hell. I always T-bag after winning a knife fight, when I out gun an automatico/hellregal, basically when ever I win a 1v1 I shouldn't have. just to rub it in.
SO I didn't see anyone bring this point up, but I noticed immediately that you use the term "cover" improperly. "Cover" is something hard that will stop bullets. Example of this would be a steel door, or rocks. "Concealment" does not stop bullets. But it will conceal your position. Cover and concealment are two different things, yet do share one function. That is to conceal your position from your opponent or prey.
Some cracking advice here regarding laying off of the sprint key and waiting for the right moment to engage! I'm usually pretty high on the scoreboard from objectives and kills, but I've always been way too aggressive (impatient ;L) and struggled with the whole "not dying" thing. You can guarantee in the majority of matches, I'll be one of, if not THE most killed player on the team. Hoping this helps!
What do I do in open maps with a lot of Snipers? Despite joining late, I always find myself having more deaths than anyone else in the entire match. I don't even know how that's possible. I often die within 5 seconds after spawning multiple times in a row.
Or a simple tip just have a good connection I went from having a 10 mgs download and 5 mgs upload to having 50 upload and 35 upload and my gameplay has drastically increased
2 tips: 1. Don't depend on always looking down the sight, hip fire is better in close quarters or if they're close at all. 2. Reload less often (don't reload if you have >50% of your mag left) and take cover or go prone when you do.
Nearly every time I play BF1, no matter how many people I kill, I'm always the one who dies the least times. Actually I found most of the tips in this video myself, and they are really useful.
I love your channel and the content of your videos. I dominate pretty often but I'm always looking to learn and become a better BF player and this helps me do precisely that. Thank you :)
Great video BM! Hopefully this will help prevent me from turning the corner and running into 6 or 7 enemies at the same time! Your videos and live streams have really helped my gameplay and made this game a blast to play. Keep up the great work!
Honestly, as an MLG player, the maps in BF1 are set up almost like COD maps. The easiest way to stay alive and get kills is to move with the team, spot, and always be facing enemy objectives while having your back towards friendlies and captured objectives; however, because DICE did a terrible job actually funneling the movement in a way that resembles actual World War warfare, you're liable to always be facing direction for all directions, which, although does happen in war, isn't likely. You could blame this on lack of team cooperation, and in part, that is to blame; but I've spectated many games just to study the patterns of movement on each map, and the only two words I can use to describe it is "chaotic" and "random", and this is coming from a player who routinely goes 40 and 2 playing as an infantryman. You'll have your back to your team, and control all the objectives from behind you, and you'll be guarding a choke-point on the map, when all of a sudden you get Hellreigeled from the back, only to realize the 15 friendlies once behind you are all gone and every objective is now lost.
Thanks for this! I am definitely more aware of my surroundings now, but for some reason I do not use the minimap very often. Also, when playing medic class, I tend to rush in, as I feel guilty about not reviving a teammate - and most of the times it gets me killed.
great vid would love to see more keep it up all I would add is to play you're class properly and cap flags in conquest it's not fecking deathmatch you get way more points actually capping flags and supporting team mates then just focusing on gun fighting so ptfo people
The section of the video where you use a highlighter to demonstrate the points of vulnerability in a House was very insightful. If you can make more videos like that, I will drop you some cash on Patreon.
Thanks for this video man! I love how you went in depth with a lot of your main points and this video has really helped me out. Keep making great vids man! ; )
awesome brokenmachine, the tip dont engage an enemy when he is already aiming is the best tip! this is easily my biggest fault i make on the battlefield. cheers!
Gotta correct one thing.. Cover =/= concealment. Walls, vehicles, trees, those are cover. Bushes, smoke, fog, are concealment. Concealment keeps you hidden, cover keeps you from being shot. (Generally.)
I was playing on operations and when I was close to capping a flag, an elite kit spawned but both times I picked it up, I either got mortared or rocket gunned from a person relatively far away, how do I not get that fate again?

thebrokenmachine I had a look at your settings video for bf1 and I would like to thank you for it, it helped me out so much I'm now able to get over 20 kills every game not always a good kd but my game play had improved dramatically and I just wanted to thank you, keep these videos coming because they are so helpful and I enjoy watching the streaks man. once again thanks
"This Is much easier doing on pc"
Me on ps4:
*Cri*
I keep dying. 4 mates in front of me in plain sight. I'm half covered behind them. Bam, shot. Also why don't people spot. My mini-map is empty, no red dots there. Highly frustrating game. Also when I hit someone a couple of time in the face he still kills me. WTF?
a good tip is it's ok to remain hidden and wait for the enemies to leave a capture point so you can sneak in and the it.
this week also allow you to get in to a good defensible position on the flag.
Thanks man! I haven't started playing Battlefield 1 yet, but these advices have really helped for my Battlefield 4 performance.
I got from getting killed and no kills to view death and more kills after this video, thank you so much! New subscriber
Just started playing and watched this the stop sprinting tip surprised me but makes sense. Subbed
1:30 and your teammates as cover too 😆.
Thanks I used to have a 1.1 ratio now I have an 1.9 ratio
Dank Bleach you'll learn other tactics as you play yourself. I started bf 1 with a 3k/d, now I average at 6. which is pretty good .4k/d and playing the objective is about where you want to be .
I average a 43 k/d and with kolibri only...
R0AST5_ wow my kd is .40
Flounder bullshit
R0AST5_ Your kd is 6? You're either a liar or one of those players to camp in the back with the mortar tank
BrokenMachine > levelcap
Another thing that helped me is don't aim down the sights every time you fire the weapon. I noticed you hardly ever do that in close quarters fights, since I stopped doing that I have been much better at winning gun fights.
It's so funny I'm looking at this video because everything you said I'm doing lol I had an awesome game today (by my standards) I had 36 kills with 27 deaths and over 21,000 points for the game if I can just reduce my deaths I'd be happy
I hear you man! I did 32-9 and 18000 pts last night. It feels great to not always die haha
Awesome man that not a bad game at all!
Daniel Tremblay I mean if the frames didn't go to 20 or 30 every time i played on on xbox it would be nice and easy. But ofc their shit cpu bottleneck
Try find a server with mostly noops.. kill as many as possible to increase ure k/d ratio! How u tell noops? They panic all the time.. they either freeze or unload a magazine on u but realized none hits u!!!
What helped me was to be aggressive an go solo it helped me to keep me on my toes. Love your videos by the way
i know this video is old and you won't see it but these vids are awesome dude. your content is the best and i love the way you handle your bf gameplay. keep it up man!
Thanks. Your BF1 guide videos have helped me improve a lot (I'm a noob to gaming). Thanks a lot.
Remember the game don't expect you survive.
Love tutorials. Im sure we would gobble up some in-depth advanced tutorials. Thanks for the great vids.
Hey thanks for posting broken, now i can survive abit longer for my No HUD videos on Battlefield really appreciate it!
No HUD??? You crazy =P
Maybe ;)
Tips for not dying:
1. don't play Battlefield 1
2. repeat step 1
lol
Badjangasse Produções
You're not wrong
Badjangasse Produções ,true that. I got a nasty message from a guy I knifed. We're all playing battlefield, we're shooting each other, it's what we do. Don't know why he took that personal
Badjangasse Produções I'm yet to get a message, and I'm disrespectful as hell. I always T-bag after winning a knife fight, when I out gun an automatico/hellregal, basically when ever I win a 1v1 I shouldn't have. just to rub it in.

Thanks for the advice. Have been getting better at this game
thanks we need this
np Danial!
New to battlefield here, thanks for the video. Seems like solid advice
I often die within 5 seconds after spawning multiple times in a row.
thanks broken love your video please make more videos like this one.
Or a simple tip just have a good connection
I went from having a 10 mgs download and 5 mgs upload to having 50 upload and 35 upload and my gameplay has drastically increased
Nice TBM Back at it again with the tutorials!

2 tips:
Actually I found most of the tips in this video myself, and they are really useful.
yes but it's much funner running headlong into one or two squads pulling a Rambo and going out with your boots on
I love your channel and the content of your videos. I dominate pretty often but I'm always looking to learn and become a better BF player and this helps me do precisely that. Thank you :)
You forgot to mention how you so effectively use nades smoke flares and dynamite.
How you combine those to your advantage is almost a video of it self
Yes! Love these guides!
=D
Thanks Broken tips are really helpful 😁 definitely improved alot!!
and dont play in Suez or Sinai map Sniper all over the place!!
you god damn right
and fao...
Great video BM! Hopefully this will help prevent me from turning the corner and running into 6 or 7 enemies at the same time! Your videos and live streams have really helped my gameplay and made this game a blast to play. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for all your detailed vids on BF1..
Isn't that why people want 32v32 (or even better 64v64)? for the chaos
Love these types of videos keep up the great work
This is exactly the tutorial/tips I was looking for. Don't know why it was so hard to find.
Love your tips and tactics. They really do help.
Im a pc player and this will help me so much.
the importnat point that you often say while playing: ''take time''
It is very useful..
thanks these tips might seem basic to some but i appreciate them. thanks for sharing 👍
I really like your tips they're very helpful. you've got yourself a subscriber sir!
man you're too good..i don't think I'll ever be as good as you
these tips helped me out a lot. I'm a noon at bf1 and I needed these tips. thx bruh
the best! getting better because of you bro!!!
That use cover cannot be stressed enough. Good tips
Thanks for this! I am definitely more aware of my surroundings now, but for some reason I do not use the minimap very often.
Also, when playing medic class, I tend to rush in, as I feel guilty about not reviving a teammate - and most of the times it gets me killed.
best tip= stay under buildings so you don't get bombed by the heavy bomber -_-
great vid would love to see more keep it up all I would add is to play you're class properly and cap flags in conquest it's not fecking deathmatch you get way more points actually capping flags and supporting team mates then just focusing on gun fighting so ptfo people
The section of the video where you use a highlighter to demonstrate the points of vulnerability in a House was very insightful. If you can make more videos like that, I will drop you some cash on Patreon.
Not trying to be modest, but I never run around corners. I dive around them
Simple yet effective tips , cheers.
Love the tips about movement my gun play is pretty good but my moment definitely needs work tanks
Another tip i learned the hard way, the Martini Henry's sweet spot is further than you think, and it isnt accurate while movint.
Thanks for this video man! I love how you went in depth with a lot of your main points and this video has really helped me out. Keep making great vids man! ; )
I've been waiting for this for so long
These tips are very helpful. Thanks broken machine! You should get way more subscribers than you do right now.
Thanks for the advice. Excellent clip also.
Good stuff, good stuff, good stuff 😃😃😃
I really love ur vids and ur channel! Keep it up.
Anybody playing battlefield 1 in 2021
Great job explaining 👍
awesome brokenmachine, the tip dont engage an enemy when he is already aiming is the best tip! this is easily my biggest fault i make on the battlefield. cheers!
it's an easy mistake to make, of course you'll have to engage sometimes, bu if they're at longer ranges, best to to change position.
Gotta correct one thing.. Cover =/= concealment. Walls, vehicles, trees, those are cover. Bushes, smoke, fog, are concealment. Concealment keeps you hidden, cover keeps you from being shot. (Generally.)
Been playing FPS for a long time, but damn if this wasn't a legit refresher.
I was playing on operations and when I was close to capping a flag, an elite kit spawned but both times I picked it up, I either got mortared or rocket gunned from a person relatively far away, how do I not get that fate again?
