And .. just cranking it like I want to hear ....so Thank you for taking the time to do so .. If I may add I only play humbuckers so single coil fender sadness sound I've gotta take your word my Ibanez gem (jr) and it's children can only sound fuller at a better budget to suit me... Not many ppl use Strats for hard rock or heavy metal for some reason. Most amps have dirt channels, and great distortion boxes abound, but ppl think that in spite of that, they need to have Seymour Dukey Hitler Is Back From Hell Nuclear Pickups. The reason for the first high-gain pickup (Super Distortion) was because it wasn’t common then for amps to have dirt channels, and I can remember before things like the Rat appeared, the only distortion boxes were fuzzes. Most ppl are pretty confused about that.
You're right, a medium output or even single coil pickup sounds great going into a high gain amp, especially if you boost it with an over drive. Many I wish I could try those Seymour Dukey Hitler pups though, those sound sick! Might want to trademark that name!
Great video mate, you took all the hype and bias out of the mix and actually just see how they perform in use. Being an HM2 guy I'm definitely gonna check out the Heavy Thunder and at least two of the others sounded usable to me.Good stuff man!
The “Iset” brand Dumble sim pedal I got is a good one for having in-line to a clean amp or a solid state amp to warm it up. The higher gain is about like a Tube Screamer. I have no idea what a real Dumble sounds like in person, lol.

Temu HM-2 is better than the boutique clones lol
I think it gets the job done, but you can do more tone shaping with the botique ones.
