I appreciate this tutorial, there's some good tricks in here! My one piece of feedback is, so much of this correction could be solved by matching the color space with opencolorIO first! the CGI render is saturated because it's linear! probably ACEScg! Convert it to whatever log format you shot the plate in first and then you'll pretty much only have to adjust exposure (plus match grain)

great tips. I didn't think of using the tint effect. I normally change the rgb values using individual levels comparing the rgb channels of the background and the added element
same! but it's really time consuming and I have never managed to make it look right. This tint method sounds amazing
