I’m so sorry you lost her. My neighbor’s pitty is the sweetest, friendliest dog I’ve ever seen - not to mention quite the conversationalist when I talk to her before and after work. She’s best friends with all 3 of my spaniels, especially my smallest. If my neighbor couldn’t take care of her for any reason I’d happily take her.

Fair enough. For the most part I can see why you say this. Aesthetically I love spaniels, and that’s probably the most compatible dog breed type for me. I’ve had 4 that I’ve raised for more than 2 years (the longest any other type of dog has been successful in being a part of my family), and part of that is because generally they’re too cute to be real. Pits aren’t my ideal dog for looks, either - it’s a shame since they have some of the sweetest dispositions ever. That said, my neighbor’s lovely blue pit is so darling and looks like a toy. She’s pretty much the only one I’d take. But I would happily do it since I know her so well. Her being beautiful is a bonus. But that’s my opinion, and you’re absolutely not obligated to agree with me.
Let’s call them by the name they breed used to have, nanny dogs which describes these beautiful creatures perfectly. They are loving, caring dogs that will protect their humans.
