- Well, Ninja said the cutoff for SotW was Sunday 11:59, and he's in Eastern time zone, so I think I can release this now (It's 12:39 over there as I type). If not, then oh well. :P I'll just have to choose, or he'll have to choose.
Anyway, you guys know I like my DKC songs. :P The tempo in this one is 900. It was interesting to do, and I think this turned out better than Forest Interlude. The main thing that got me into doing this song were the bubbling sound effects. I wondered if I could find an effective way to emulate them. Hopefully I succeeded. xD
Another thing was that it was pretty tough to get the bass down at some parts, because I was going by ear. Hope I got it at least close. :B
Enjoy. :D - Ігри
Wow...you even got the lava bubbles sound, people don't usually think that's part of the music.
YOU DID THE LAVA......WHAT A GOD
This gets the highest ratings hands down. How you handled the volume control or each line for the echoes, easing in and out of dynamics was just so...
EXCELLENT!
I'm really amazed how effectively you used the pigs to emulate the "bubbling"... very well done!
@HunterTiger2100 I agree. I love the DKC soundtracks so much.
this the best example of volume control out of any other song i've ever seen
I love the animal noises! I also love the plane/coin combo. Gives off a nice reverb feel.
Great arrangement, Rusty!
"Like" and Fav
Of all the mario paint composer I've seen, this is BY FAR the best composition ever. Very nicely done!
I didn't think anything more erratic than the animals in forest interlude could be possible... this proved me wrong o-o they were definitely the highlight, and the dynamics are superb =D.
Like.
You're so fucking awesome at this, I keep watching all of your DKC MPC videos over and over... For everyone's sake, please make more! :O
Jeez Rusty, I can't believe this!! This is outstanding low tempo work. The recreation of the bubble sounds could have gone very poorly, but you very skillfully used the pigs and Yoshis to make it really truly work. Also, this song is big on echoes and you really nailed them, which is particularly impressive because of the low tempo. The volume control in general is AMAZING! I don't know how you do it; it doesn't even sound like a low tempo song. Incredible rendition man, I love this. Faved! :-D
I've been waiting for this since I saw it in the unfinished compositions! and It's great!
You definitely did, since I recognized what they were supposed to be without you telling me :O
This is so awesome and you managed to do it at such a low tempo :D
Once again, your rendition is impeccable. I really liked the way you made the bubbling, but I like @ElectricPopTart18's pigs better in his crescent island video.
Really great stuff Rusty!
Oh sure, you can actually get in SotW when you want to... [/personalgripe]
I like the song :) I like the plane/coin combo a lot, and you had excellent percussion as well.
Best MPCer on youtube
Faved
Amazing job.
The sound is so clean, I like it.
@WaywardSquire When I was thinking of a way to handle the bubbles, pigs were the first thing to come to mind. For some reason they made me think of lava. Pigs can be a pretty versatile instrument with MPC.
Beautiful job-- I love the Yoshi/Hog lava effects!!
Just as awesome as the original. Great job, mon! ^^
wow that echo is kinda like rotating speaker effect on my guitar fx pedal.
toms sound great, i love this piece!
I love it!!!!! Great work.
spot on! very nice work
You just love making me feel bad about myself, huh?
haha this is great, seriously :D
I wonder why I can't handle echoes as well as you do :>
Quite nice :)
Great job man
Wow, very nice
@skatemancory222 Smooooch was amazing. :D
Animal noises in MPC are underrated. They're very good for sound effects, adding power to drums, etc.
@mocliamtoh573 Well each use of pigs was completely different X-P You can't really compare the two. My pigs were one way to sound like an engine, and his were another way to sound like bubbles popping. This particular use of pigs for bubbles was really well done, in my opinion :-D
that splashing sound is pretty darn impressive
@mocliamtoh573 Poptart's Crescent Island is an amazing MPC. I need to rewatch it sometime.
God you are amazing true work
@SuperiorLarxene Yeah, I like using the Plane/Coin combo a lot in my songs. It sounds nice.
2020.. very good
@eataninja Thanks Ninja. xD I didn't want to have to choose between this and Everybody's Fool.
@knoginator Woo! It's good that people can tell what they're supposed to represent. :P
Thanks. :D
@MathcoreShuppet I have DKC2 on my Wii. I love that game so much, but haven't played it in forever because I got stuck at Animal Antics.
awesome :D
just awesome :D
@pianoguy222 Yeah, I didn't feel like working in a fast tempo for this. xD What people like Balloon and Namisphinx have shown is that with clever placement, you can actually get a very full sounding song at lower tempos. It's fun to experiment with.
You should update your MPC MP3s video. :P
Great work here!
*applauds*
Bravo, bravo! A terrific rendition of a complex song, miraculously not done in dick speed! I'm impressed!
@skatemancory222 Usually when adding power to drums I use low pigs or low yoshis (low a'd)
The original FL Studio
THOSE YOSHIS AND PIGS LOL
I really liked how this sounded, and I want to play this song on the piano. The bar is going to fast though and I can't get a good read on it. Could you (or some very kind youtube user) PM me with sheet music to this song. I would be very thankful and would subscribe to your channel. THANKS!!!!!
Zzzzzzzz oh is it over
