It´s been a while since I uploaded my last MPC video and this video is the reason for that.
This is my biggest MPC project to date, I started this like a year ago but one day my hard drive broke and I lost all my unfinished projects, so about 3 weeks ago I decided to start this medley once again.
This was so much fun to make, I worked for 3 weeks for around 1 or 2 hours per day using the original soundfont, 45 files were used for almost 10 minutes of music.
All of the songs were made by ear, and some by memory and as usual I aimed for creative remixes of each theme and smooth transitions, I tried to give some chronological order to the songs going from the early arcades to the Wii era (I skipped the Gamecube era because I was near the 10 minutes time limit of youtube, I was gonna include Dragon Roost Island and MKDD´s Rainbow Road, maybe next time.
All of the songs included in this medley are from Video games that I grew up playing, so before posting comments like "where´s the PS2 and XBox love?" remember that I´m a big Nintendo fan since I was a child.

Kid Icarus is probably Nintendo's most underrated series.
It only has 3 GAMES in the entire series. It came out the same year as The legend of Zelda so no excuse.

Terminian Link But at LEAST Metroid got some love more recently with the Prime series. They could have made Kid Icarus Uprising 2 on Wii U. But a second Kirby 3ds game (which is more like Triple Deluxe dlc) is more important Sakurai.
Terminian Link Splatoon is getting a sequel/port to Switch but Kid Icarus will just cry in the corner while they completely forgot his 30th birthday.

I decided to expand this medley, hopefully twice as large (20 mins, maybe more, maybe less), and yeah I already have some ideas on sega, gamecube and playstation songs, I´ve never owned an Xbox console but we´ll see.
Keep in mind that it will not be just a simple collection of songs, I need to choose representative songs in chronological order, I like to remix each song to give them my personal style, make smooth transitions for each theme (So that the whole song seems like one big song), and that requires time, patience, tempo and chords adjustments, etc.

the transition from Kid Icarus into Zelda was handled really well. It was a natural transition
2020 here. First time I’ve heard this and that blows me away as I love and follow a ton of retro game VGM chanels, etc. It’s never been rec’d to me before. Love the transitions, some are flat out genius.

Way back in the day, when I first watched this in like 2009 or 2010, when I was around 11 year old, listening to all the different game soundtracks, it got me really interested in all the old games out there. I even made a list of all the games here so I could watch playthroughs of each one, and I remember having a blast exploring all the games that were before my time.
So I guess because of this video, I became a complete nerd with a love for video games :)

Silpheed (which always seems to be compared to it) has much better music.
Most of the music before it in this video is better than it.
There are a couple of more modern games with much better music (though generally modern games have pretty shit music).
I don't care, the Corneria theme was great and brings back some great nostalgic memories.

I watched this in 2009 and was blown away. Music from games opens me up to trying them out if it's good enough and this video opened me up to so many new series that I never would have tried based on their genre. I would have never experienced Metroid, Star Fox, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, and Banjo, which coincidentally became my favorite game of all time. Basically what I'm trying to say is thank you for making me a gamer.
This medley is what inspired me to pursue Mario Paint Composer. After I watched this back when this came out, I got the program and started working on a Smash Bros Medley that never got close to being finished and was awful, but was a start to what I have been able to do today! Thanks Adolfobaez! You have blessed the internet with your amazing talent and hard work!
