Agree that a panel above allows better use of space, but I personally DONT recommend this to any newbies for one simple reason (especially for taller folks). There are times when we "bounce" around with or without seatbelts and anything above especially those who mount rigid things like that light switch controller, radios, etc... When that happens, there's a potential to hurt your head and or worse. Simply put, a gash that requires stitches, or an eye injury, or anything else that can ruin a trip isn't worth the risk.
Very possible but so is the B pillar and door frame. Yes, your adding to the potential injury but offloading is inherently dangerous.. "Children, don't do this at home... or to your parents jeep without asking first"... 😅

Looks pretty good, but when you add more pouches, will they block the mirror more?
