Which layer of the shell is the impermeable layer? I'm in the pre-plaster gunite curing stage. Ground water is coming through the gunite wall where the jet pipe juts out of the gunite. This is not a pipe leak; it's ground water leaking from the outside of the gunite to the inside of the pre-plastered pool. The contractor is saying this is normal. If it is, why is it in only 1 spot and what makes the pool shell waterproof? The plaster?
Nice video. Question: Why are you guys advocating watering multi times a day for 10 days? I've had 2 concrete pools built (1 by a large global pool company, 1 by a small biz pool builder) in a very hot area of the Southwest U.S., one recently. Here the instruction is water 2x a day for 3 - 4 days. They have tile people installing pool tile in as little as 5 days after pools are shot & decking folks immediately following the tile guys.
Thank you for sharing this. Can you make a video on how your pool turned it.

You can’t overwater
The only mistake would be giving directions that could lead to not enough watering and hydration cracks
Thanks for taking the time to do this video - informative and helpful.
